Pari had to meet her boss for some urgent paperwork since he was leaving for LA on the same night. This time he asked Austin to travel with him for some reasons and Pari didn't question him further. When she called to let him know about the papers, he asked her to come to his place. So she asked George to drop her at his house in Sheldon avenue. It was quite a detached property away from the hustle and bustle of London city. Once inside the property, Pari realised that it was a freaking bungalow spread across a huge space. 'Of course a CEO's place', she thought. It was a red brick building with a green surroundings with a beautiful garden and a huge balcony. The door was open already and she walked in after ringing the calling bell twice. He walked down the stairs in his white tee shirt and black joggers.'Damn.... His outfit screams his perfect husband material aura. Is this the visual I get to see if I say yes… Not bad… Shut up Pari and Focus.' Pari found it hard to think straight.
It’s been a week since Ian went to LA. Pari definitely missed her regular routine work of making his day perfect. She didn’t have any major work in office, other than the meetings she had to attend as per his orders. She had to keep him updated about the daily work, that’s the only time she could hear him speak. Some part of her soul did miss his presence in her life. Maybe she was just getting used to having him around or maybe she actually missed him. Sonu and Abhay’s engagement was nearing and Pari had to fix her outfit. So she asked Sophie about suggestions, since they had become good friends after meeting multiple times because of all the business events. Pari was in a mood to wear something traditional this time, so Sophie took her out shopping and picked a blue crop top, skirt and dupatta that looked traditional yet trendy. Pari couldn’t thank her enough for being the saviour as always. “You are Mr. Evan’s and my favourite girl. I should help you with everything sweetie” S
Next day Pari got ready for office with a hope of meeting Ian as he told her that he would be back in three days. But once she reached the office, she got to know that his flight was rescheduled due to weather conditions. She felt a pang of disappointment. After work she went back home and Sonu and Abhay were home and had their early dinner as part of her farewell. Then they both dropped her to her new apartment and helped with her things. Finally it was time for Pari's first day in her new apartment. As a part of tradition, she let the milk boil and spill which indicates the beginning of a new journey in her new home, though cleaning the mess was a bit tedious. She prepared kheer out of the milk and served it to Sonu and Abhay and had it along with them. They went back home after wishing her goodnight. Once freshened up, Pari went to bed in her brand new bedroom. Her mind started thinking about the past 9 months. How she had rejected that marriage proposal and came to London, st
Ian sat down with his laptop and Pari got the glasses. They actually didn’t drink much but focused on work. After a long discussion and detailing, finally they were done with their reports and he mailed it to the partners. He took off his blazer making the room a bit hotter than usual for her. “ So how was LA? " She asked to break the silence. “Just fine. You know my schedules.. All those meetings and discussions kept me busy. I didn’t get time for anything else. Let's not talk about those boring things. Tell me about you. How’s life? Got a new place, partying with friends.. " He asked as he sat comfortably in his seat. “My life…iIt's quite good in some ways. I wouldn’t say no. I'm enjoying it..” “So…. Did you think about us..? " His sudden question startled her. There was a pause in the conversation and she resumed talking after some time. “I still have some things to ask you” “Go ahead. I’m all yours " He was all in for the conversation. His entire focus was on her
Pari's phone started buzzing with a call from her mother. They both had some arguments a few days ago and they haven't been on talking terms for some time now. But since her mother was calling at the break of dawn, Pari was a bit worried so she excused herself to receive the call and went to the balcony. “Maa… What happened ?” She asked with a tensed tone. “At least you decided to pick my call finally. Why are you not picking up my calls? " Her mother spoke rather harshly. “I didn’t want argue for silly reasons” “Your marriage isn’t a silly thing Pari” “Maa… I am just 26 " “You’ll be 27 soon " “So what Maa? I'm independent, happy” “But we are not. You can’t find a man for yourself. You don’t accept the one we selected. What are you planning to do? " Shilpa was worried about her daughter's future. Pari had yet again rejected a proposal with a reason of not wanting to quit her job. The continous taunts by the relatives had worn out Shilpa and Ajay. They ju
Pari... a girl entirely different from the ones Ian had met till date in his life. She was independent, strong and intelligent and beautiful. Though Ian wasn't certain about the amount of liking he had for her, something in her was drawing him closer to her from the very moment he saw her. Maybe those brown orbs of hers that twinkles with confidence when she speaks about her thoughts, maybe the attentive brain of hers that comes up with the perfect solution for any issues, maybe her entire being was tempting him to get close to her. He didn't know the exact reason, but he surely wanted her to be a permanent part of his life. Being away from her in LA made him realise her importance in his life. Though she had sorted out everything for him, something felt empty without her.He had never seen someone so graceful in his life, especially her ethnic outfit was a treat for his eyes. When he came back home from LA, he really wanted to meet her. But he couldn't as he was caught up with some
Ian met Abby as promised on Friday. It's been a really long time since he met her. So they discussed each other's life, most of it regarding the professional one. "So, how was LA? " Abby asked him while sipping her wine."Quiet, professional and busy... I had a lot of meetings set up and stuff like that. So I didn't get much time for myself. I heard you were casted in a movie, great work " "Thanks Ian.. It was a good opportunity and I couldn't say no. It's really a great chance to reach a peak in my career" "Cheers to your successful career then" "Cheers to our successful career and togetherness " They clinked their wine glasses. Abby continued to speak about her upcoming projects and Ian wished her luck for her future. After dinner, Abby's driver picked her up as she had to leave for an early morning flight. Ian was still in the parking lot attending a business call when a toddler, busy running around, fell right in front of him. The tiny sobs had already attracted Ian's attenti
Pari was about to turn 27 in a week and people around her were more than excited to see her getting old. Irony was that Pari didn't feel so special about it. Sonu decided to host a party to celebrate Pari's birthday and Pari didn't have an option to say no to her best friend. But on the previous day of her birthday Ian dragged her home with him. Her boss definitely had his ways to convince her and he usually didn't appreciate no for an answer. Bundled up in blankets they both watched a movie in his cinema room after the delicious dinner prepared by Ian. One of the things Pari really admired about Ian was his cooking skills. He's just a magician in the kitchen and everything he cooks could be on a 5 star restaurant menu. She really felt blessed to be able to enjoy it every now and then. Pari was too lazy to walk up to his room after the movie, so Ian offered the service of picking her up and tucking her in bed. Then he slid next to her and hugged her but neither of them were sleepi
