I was running.
Panting heavily.
Sweating profusely.
I heard a few sounds behind me but at that moment, I did not care.
The laces of my sneakers were untied.
And my hair flying in numerous directions.
I wasn't even looking ahead.
That's why I crashed. Hard.
And we both fell down.
"Ouch!" The stranger and I exclaimed at the same time.
I fell on top of him, so as of now my head was buried in his chest. (I knew it was a he because he didn't have boobs, nor did his physique match a girl’s). He was fit. And muscular. And seemed quite tall. But I didn't care about any of that, at the moment, I just cared for the headache I have been granted because of his rock-hard chest. Ow!
"Are you just going to stay here or are you going to move? My back's hurting," I heard a deep, husky voice say.
Dude, stop! I’m having a moment here.
But goodness! I have to admit, his voice sounded so… manly. Deep and husky. And... I melted right there. How could someone have a voice like that? So velvety. I think I already like him and I haven't even seen his face.
I must’ve been lying on him for quite some time, lost in my own world when I felt him shake me.
"Hello? Did you hear me? I said you're hurting me!"
I realized what he was saying and my eyes widened as realization dawned upon me, and I looked up slowly into his'.
Good gracious!
Only one word; hot. Tanned complexion, must've been to a beach recently; messy brown hair that looked like they've been brushed by his hands numerous times; glassy grey eyes, that seemed to hold many secrets, an elegantly straight nose and plump pink lips, hidden under his 5 'o clock shadow stubble, that gave him a manly look. God must’ve spent a lot of time on him. I was instantly intrigued by him. I was talking about his voice, but he was ten times gorgeous, himself. My breath was caught in my throat and I couldn't bring myself to speak anything.
He was also staring at me. As if peeking deep through my soul. He had a dazed expression on his face. My cheeks couldn't help but color at his scrutinizing gaze.
And then... I felt something poking my thigh. It was hard. My eyebrows furrowed and I carefully reached and touched it. And when I did, he jumped, which caused me to fall backwards.
"Ow!" I glared at him rubbing my back, "What the...?"
He stood up and smirked, looking down at me, "What the... what Angel?"
I gaped at him. How did he know my name? My mouth must be open because he commented
on it.
"I know I'm handsome but please close your mouth or you'll catch flies, Buttercup," he smirked.
He freakin' smirked! The audacity.
I scoffed, "Who said I was thinking about you?"
"The way your mouth was opened and the way you were looking at me, tells me much."
"Aren't you so full of yourself?"
"I am?"
In response I just smiled sarcastically and then scoffed. I sat criss-cross applesauce on the road now. And he was towering over me.
"Aww, look who's trying to be smart, good girl!"
In response, I pouted. Yes, that's what I did. Stupid, right? But what was there to say?
"Aww, she's pouting!"
My cheeks were flushed now. TMI (Too much insult). "Are you trying to insult me?!" I snapped, angrily, advancing my glare towards him.
"I'm not trying, Angel."
Fuming, I folded my arms on my chest with my glare intact. "Really because right now, I feel like your face is already insulted and I don't need to insult you more."
Burn! Take that Mr. Smarty Pants.
Opposing my expectations, he laughed, richly. "I think you're objecting to your own thoughts."
I narrowed my eyes at him, "What thoughts?"
He bent in front of me. NO! Please don't bring your handsome face in front of me! Even though, I'll never tell you that because you just insulted me and also, you'll get an ego boost that I'm not ready to give you that satisfaction. Didn't you think I was good-looking, even once?"
I avoided his intense gaze, "N-no-"
"Liar. Anyways, why don't you stand up?" He was now looking at me, amused.
"Hmpf." was my only reply as I turned my face to the side. "What is it to you? Is the road owned by you?! I've seen many arrogant people like you. And if I had to choose the worst one among you, it would definitely be you! I will not go anywhere whether you want it or not. You can try your best smartypants because I will do what I w--"
He smiled, but suppressed it when I passed him a glare.
"Do you always ramble like this?"
"I was not! I DO NOT ramble! And even if I do, why do you have a problem? Huh?! Did I--"
Before I could complete my sentence, once again, he rudely interrupted me, again.
"You know, a few moments ago, you were running like you were trying to win a marathon and now you're here, sitting, calmly. What's the matter really? Are you running from your home?" he inquired of me, slightly amused and slightly worried. But why?
And then I felt realisation dawn upon me. "Dam*! Sh*t! Fu*k!" I slapped my hand on my forehead, "No, no, no, no!"
"Waoh! Waoh! Waoh! For a good girl, you sure swear a lot!" he exclaimed with his grey eyes wide and an entertaining smile on his lips.
I narrowed my eyes, "Who told you I'm a good girl?"
His smile grew into a smirk, "No need to tell me Angel. I already know."
I scoffed and then gasped, "Oh no! My mom is going to kill me, what time is it?" I asked him, my eyes wide with panic.
He looked at his watch before glancing at me, "Ten minutes before six."
"Nooo... why must this world hate me? I still have to get ready!"
I was moments away from getting a panic attack. I had to reach home by six and right now I don’t even have the groceries. Leave that, I didn’t even make it to the shop! Mom is going to slaughter me and I am going to be dinner tonight. It-it’s all this stranger’s fault, if only he hadn’t been here, we wouldn’t have bumped into each other and I wouldn’t have been late!
"Why? Are you getting married?"
♤ Mason ♤
"Why? Are you getting married?" my heart wanted to burst at the thought. But I don’t know why? She was just a stranger passing by. Soon, we would forget each other and might never see each other again.
"WHAT? No!" she laughed. I was captivated by her mirthful laughter. She was so beautiful. I watched as dimples aligned on both of her slightly chubby cheeks as her rosy red lips curved upwards. Right now, she was looking a bit relieved and less panicked.
"Then, why are you in a hurry?" I questioned, getting myself out of the reverie.
"None of your business big guy. And now I have to go, bye!" she waved her hand, running away, leaving a small smile on my face.
I walked back to our place, with the smile on my lips, intact.
"Woah, dude, what on earth happened today? Haven't seen you smile since Joanna," the smile on my face faded, instantly and my jaw ticked hearing an all too familiar name.
Dylan also realized his mistake and apologized, "I'm sorry, Mason, I forgot."
I just nodded and walked to my room. I don't want to remember her name. She was a real bit¤h! She was a cheater. A liar. A girl who didn't care for anyone but herself. She always thought of her benefit.
And then there's this girl. Angel. I love this name for her. She was just like an angel, sent by God to brighten my day. My foul mood was replaced by a contented one. I felt my lips curl upwards.
She was just so cute and adorable. And when she touched my gun, I jumped so she would not pull it out. That thing is not for an innocent girl like her.
When she lifted her face, I was in trance. To say she was beautiful would be an understatement. From her pale, round face to her beautiful figure, she was the epitome of perfection. Her beautiful big orbs, small, adorable nose, cute bow lips; she felt so frail. Like a porcelain doll. I can't seem to forget about her ever since I met her. I don't know if I would ever meet her again but today was the best day of my life. She was like a ray of light in my soulless life. God!
What is happening to me? Why am I thinking such sappy things? I don't know if I'll ever see her again and I'm still thinking about her.
I shook my head. No. I won't be fooled this time. I know. I know it's not for me. It never will be. Love doesn't exist. Not after that. It isn’t in my vocabulary. I don't believe in it. It is not for me.
And as if I came out of a trance, I realized I would never find true love because everybody betrays you. You don't trust people because they don't let you. Nobody is there for you in the time of need. People leave you. Yes. They always leave you.
Just like they left me.

♡Angela♡I did a happy dance when I brought the groceries home, seeing the guests haven't arrived. My mom didn't scold me as well for being late, which was a good thing. But, it all went to drain when I asked mom that why have the guests not arrived?"Sweetheart, they don't arrive until seven, go get refreshed and ready," my mom informed me before taking the groceries to the kitchen.
♡Angela♡"Again?" I whined, "But mom, I just went grocery shopping a week ago!""So?" My mom shrugged, "We need some more things, like I need some pizza sauce if I'm making a pizza. And I also need some milk, yeast and cheese and all the things which are written there. You didn't bring them last week."My jaw dropped and I sighed dramatically, "Why, mother? Why must you do this to me? Do you not love me anymore?" I looked at her, feigning a crying face, to which she gave me a look and I straightened immediately."Ok, ok. I'll bring everything. But why didn't you tell me I had to bring all that, last week?"My mom rolled her eyes at me,"To torture you, honey.""WHAT? MOMMM!""Angela! We were in a hurry. I sent you grocery shopping two hours before the guests arrived!" she scolded me, folding her hands around her chest. She had a point. But the matter now is, that I don't wan
RECAP:I tried to look more closely and moved a little forward but unconsciously dropped a tin can which caught the attention of the other man. My eyes widened but not at the fact that I had been caught but at the fact that I knew that guy.Slowly, I made my way towards him."K.C, is that you?"***** ♡Angela♡I was staring in shock at the guy in front of me. What is he doing here? Where was he all this time? How? Many questions were running wildly through my mind. I just couldn't believe he was here, in front of me, in flesh. But the main question running through my mind is 'how the hell is he alive?' We all saw him die.But for this while, everything aside, a smile touched my lips as I ran forward and hugged him tightly."YOU'RE ALIVE!" I couldn't help but shout."Ange-" he tried to speak but I cut him off.
♡Angela♡I'm a barbie girl,in a barbie world.Life in plastic,it's fantastic. You can brush my hair, and dress me everywhere…Imagination…Huh? Who's ringing me this early?I groaned as I realised that it's not my phone but my alarm clock. Whoever set this song on my alarm clock must've been hell bent on taking revenge from me? But who in the h*ll would do this to me? I whirl through my brain to get a memory of someone who could do this when I heard a 'boo' above me and I shrieked loudly, falling off the bed in process.Ow! My back left this world early. I'm backless, now!"Ahahahah!" I heard a person laughing. I yawned loudly before I open one eye and looked at the culprit.NO!I couldn't believe my eyes. What is
♡Angela♡"Time for school, Angel!" mom called out, lightly knocking on my door, standing on the doorway, smiling."Mom, do I have to?" I asked, pulling my face out of the comforter."Yes, you do. Otherwise, you'll miss out.""I'll ask Dylan to cover me up!" I told her, turning back to sleep again."Angela, get up!""But, mom--""No excuses, darling!" There was no going back. But atleast I could try a bit."Mom, *cough* *cough*, I dont... think I'm feeling that good," I faked being sick by masking my voice. This was the last straw."Alright, fine," Phew! "I can tell Mason to go back."I gasped, suddenly remembering our conversation from last night.Flashback:"Mason?""Hey," he smirked, "Angela."He spoke my name slowly as if teasing me. Ok, I know my mom was shouting my name loudly and that's how he knew.

♡Angela♡Have you ever experienced true anger for someone?Where you feel like blowing there head off?Anger is an intense emotional response. It is an emotion that involves a strong uncomfortable and emotional response to a perceived provocation, hurt or threat.Anger can occur when a person feels like their personal boundaries are being violated.Yes. I'm feeling angry. And this anger is directed towards Mason. So, let me explain what happened.I was reading my favourite book and the main characters were just about to kiss when Mason had the decency to interrupt me. And also he stole my nutella that I especially kept in my bag. When I woke up in the morning, I looked and saw that the jar was half empty. When I asked Mason, his only reply was; C'mon, I saw it, I took a bite of it, I liked it and ate it. You should be thankful I left half for you.
♡Angela♡"Mom, I know, I know… but I don't know… fine… NO!… I'll ask him… Yes… Yes… okay, I love you and dad!…okay… bye... yeah... bye!" I sighed, briefly after I put my phone away from my ear and turned around.I jumped, startled as soon as I turned.Mason was standing in my doorway supporting his famous smirk. His hands were folded on his chest as he looked at me, intently. How long had he been standing here without me noticing?"Yes?" I asked him, warily."What, yes?" he was playing innocent."What are you doing here?" I narrowed my eyes at him and his smirk widened."I'm here to take you," he unfolded his hands and came towards me. He was dressed comfortably in a T-shirt and sweatpants."Take me where?""Did you forget already?" He raised his brows once he saw my confused expression. "We h
🍒Angela🍒 Mason came home the next evening with a grave mood. I was worried something happened while he was at work. Something was off with him, he was giving clipped off answers to my questions. Did he fight someone? Did someone hurt him? Ok, this sounded absurd because he was a strong, sturdy man himself and I bet he could fight five people at once. I felt sad when he just went to his room without saying anything. He wasn't usually like that. No matter what happened, at the end of the day, he would always give me a smile. He didn't even eat anything. I was worried and hurt by his behavior. Him ignoring me is not what bothered me, what bothered me was that he knew, he knew I had been waiting for him. I missed him. I want to know the reason, the cause of this behavior. If something is hurting him, I want him to share it with me. But right now, I felt so worthless. Like I was just a burden at him. A little girl who needed protection because she was so weak to protect herself
"No." Startled by the third voice that spoke, we both turned our head towards the figure that came running towards us. Dylan.Worry and fear etched his face, and he was breathless by the time he reached us. The tone of his voice, the worry, and his untimely interruption indicates something big. Something that could either be a huge problem or lead to it. But whatever it was, it had shaken him up pretty badly. Watching him, I clenched my own jaw. He had interrupted a very special moment but I trust my men and I know whatever it was must be really alarming. They know what today's date meant to me. Unless it wasn't big, they would've never intervened. "Mason," he stopped near me, trying to catch his breath, briefly glancing at Angela who stood there clueless. "Hey, Ang, I've got to borrow Mason for a while.""Uh, yeah sure, you go, I'll roam around here then."As soon as Angel left, his face turned serious again, "Mason, there's a problem.""What?""Someone's gotten into our territor
🍒Angela 🍒 And as if a sudden realization hit my mind, my eyes grew big. Was this...? "C'mon Angel, I didn't plan this for myself," he spoke, leaning towards my ear, "but if you still want to stay close, we can still go back home and--" Before he could speak further, I slapped his arm (even though I knew it didn't even hurt him a little), moving back. Instantly, I missed the warmth of his body but didn't let it show. I was still trying to figure out my new feelings. But this was certainly not the time to assess the reason of my rapidly beating heart. "Ouch!" he rubbed his arm where I slapped him causing me to roll my eyes at his over acting. "Drama Queen," I chuckled, shaking my head and grabbed his outstretched hand as he led me to the dinner table. "Kiss it better?"
Leading her in, Mason felt quite nervous. He didn't know if she'll like anything or not, but he still wanted to give this date, their first official date, a chance. For her. He felt like he was getting the pre-wedding jitters while walking down the aisle. In his mind, he had a scenario of a gust of wind blowing by and destroying his perfect date; the table and chairs flying away, the beautiful fairy lights hanging from the tree, rustling and falling down, the lanterns set up crashing down and the tent he had place infront of a projector, wanting to watch a nice movie with his Angel, flowing away. Clenching his fists, controlling his unpleasant thoughts, he looked at her to see her expressions, he just wanted to focus on her; whether she liked it or not. Nothing else mattered. "I'd like to tell you something, Angel," he started as they neared the gate, "This is my first time taking a girl on a date," he said, nervously rubbing his neck. Surprised, Angela stare

🍒Angela🍒"I'm coming to pick you up. Tell me where you are," I was lost at voice when I heard what he said.Trish, Drew and Carl were staring at me, curiously. I signalled them to wait."Um..." I tried to come up with a good excuse. "NO! I mean, I...uh... I can come back on my own, by taking a lift or I can ask--""Angel?""Yeah?""Stop making excuses and tell me where you are! Otherwise, I have my ways to find out where you are."As I heard his firm voice, I knew he would actually do what he said so I gave him the address to Trish's house. And within half an hour he reached there. I had told Carl and Andrew not to come out and Trish came to see me off. I waved at her before settling in Mason's can who had an aloof expression on his face throughout the way.I had my hands settled on my laps with my head held do
🍒Angela🍒"Say goodbye, girl," he said, maliciously and suddenly a loud gunshot sound echoed across the hall and I closed my eyes, feeling the pain flow through me.But that pain was not of a bullet hitting me, that pain was of me hitting something hard. Ouch!I anticipated blood flowing through my body, my body falling down and me reminiscing the memories of my life, but none of that happened, instead I heard a painful shriek in front of me.I opened my eyes and they widened when I saw the man in front of me lay down on the ground, as dead as a dodo.A laughter spluttered from my throat. "He was trying kill me and he shot himself instead. See," I pointed my index finger at him, "this is what happens when you try to kill me! You kill yourself!""Not really," a voice I was familiar with uttered from behind me.I turned around and saw that Carl was standing in
🍒Angela🍒The first guy pointed his gun at me. People around me were unaware because they were obviously drunk.I heard a shriek coming from behind me and looked to see Trisha with her hand on her mouth. Andrew was beside her. After hearing her scream people started to notice and soon more screams were heard as they went out, emptying the hall.Hello, people! The gun is pointed at me and even I'm not making a slight noise.Well, maybe that's because you're too afraid to speak now.I felt a little bit afraid, now. Trisha was by my side along with Andrew, now. They were both standing beside me. I never thought that one day I'd be in a situation like this. With a gun placed on my forehead. And my life at stake.
