|| Lilac's POV ||

I stood in front of the mirror, the soft fabric of the dress hugging my figure perfectly. The dress was stunning elegant, sophisticated, and exactly what I needed for the alpha council meeting. But the fact that it came from the Nightshades made my stomach twist. What connection did the Blackwoods have with them? Was there something hidden that my parents didn’t know about? Or worse, were they keeping something from me?

I sighed, running my fingers over the delicate fabric. The Nightshades were a mystery, their motives unclear, and their sudden interest in my family was unsettling. I couldn’t shake the feeling that there was more to this than met the eye. But before I could spiral further into my thoughts, I felt a familiar presence in the room.

Sure enough, when I turned around, there he was. Alaric.

He stood at the edge of the room, by the window, his tall frame casting long shadows against the walls. The dim light danced across his sh

    || Lilac’s POV || Dad and Mom turned their gazes to Ezra, and when they saw the pictures on the camera, their faces hardened. Dad’s sharp inhale was the only indication of his anger, while Mom’s lips pressed into a thin line. “Ezra, explain this,” Dad demanded, his tone leaving no room for argument. Ezra looked between us, his face a mixture of guilt and frustration. “Relax, you all. I just wanted to give Lilac a little surprise, okay? I know a lot has happened recently, and Lilac has been through so much. Though she smiles before us, I know it's hard on her. So I thought I’d get her the video games she used to play.” He turned to me, his eyes pleading. “I knew you liked them. I thought it would cheer you up. But the games are hard to find, so I met up with this guy I found on the internet.” He searched his pocket and threw a small box at me. It was the same box in the picture. “Here, you can look for yourself.” I caught it, my hands trembling, and slow

    || Lilac’s POV ||The day of the alpha council meeting arrived, and with it came a storm of emotions I wasn’t entirely prepared for. I woke up early, the weight of the day pressing heavily on my chest. The dress from the Nightshades hung in my closet, a reminder of the mysterious forces that seemed to be closing in around my family. I slipped it on, the fabric cool against my skin, and took a deep breath as I looked at myself in the mirror. Today was about more than just appearances it was about proving myself, protecting my family, and confronting the shadows that had been lurking in the corners of my life.Dad was waiting for me downstairs, his expression calm but his eyes sharp with focus. Ezra was already in the car, slouched in the back seat with his arms crossed. He looked upset, his usual carefree demeanor replaced by a sullen silence. I couldn’t blame him. Being spied on, having his every move documented, was enough to shake anyone. But today wasn’t the day for

    || Lilac's POV || The room was thick with tension, the air heavy with the weight of unspoken accusations and simmering anger. Kael’s smug expression lingered, his eyes locked on me as if daring me to falter. But I wouldn’t give him the satisfaction. I stood tall, my shoulders squared, and my gaze steady as I addressed the room. “Since it has come to this,” I began, my voice cutting through the silence like a blade, “I think it is time we discuss the rogues.” Kael’s smirk faltered for a fraction of a second, his eyes narrowing as he processed my words. He had expected me to crumble under the weight of his accusations, to be left disheveled and defenseless. But I wasn’t the same Lilac once he knew. “You are right,” Kael said, his tone dripping with mockery. “We should start interrogating your brother for the incident.” His words were a challenge, a test to see if I would break. But I didn’t flinch. “That won’t be necessary,” I replied, my voice calm but f

    || Lilac’s POV ||The room was silent, every eye fixed on me as I continued. “You see, this man has the normal scent of a werewolf, just like us. But if you look closely…” I stepped closer to the rogue and pulled down the high neck of his shirt, revealing the tattoo on his neck. “He is a rogue who has learned to have his scent. And thanks to my witty little brother, we caught him.”The murmurs began again, louder this time, as the alphas and lunas processed the revelation. Kael’s jaw dropped, his confidence shattered. The alpha king’s expression darkened, his jaw clenched as he stared at the rogue. Luna Cassandra was silent for once, her usual sharp tongue rendered useless by the unexpected turn of events.“Now the question is,” I said, my voice rising above the murmurs, “how many of them might be living among us, feeding on crucial information, noticing our every move? This is a serious threat, and I assume we need to increase our patrols, especially on the sou

    || Lilac’s POV || The room was a storm of whispers and murmurs, the tension so thick it felt like the air itself was holding its breath. Kael’s smug confidence had shattered, his face pale and his jaw clenched as he tried to process the turn of events. I stood tall, my heart pounding but my expression calm, as I addressed the room once more. “The question still remains,” I said, my voice cutting through the noise like a blade, “how did the future Alpha King get his hands on these pictures? My brother is from the Royal Beta family, and he is a minor. I don’t understand why he was being monitored in the first place.” Dad stood beside me, his presence made a stronger impression. “Yes, what is the meaning of this, Alpha King?” he demanded, his voice firm and filled with authority. “Why would anyone tail my son? Our family has pledged loyalty to the throne for generations. Our ancestors were appointed by the Nightshades themselves. Why would it come to this?” The

    || Lilac’s POV ||“A few days ago, I was running some business in the capital,” Alexander explained, his tone calm but firm. “Before I left, I saw Ezra, and I noticed a man taking pictures of him. It seemed suspicious, so I followed my instincts and captured the spy. After all, he was targeting the Royal Beta family, and that didn’t sit well with me.”He stepped closer to the man, his gaze sharp and unyielding. “To my surprise, this wolf is also a rogue. Not only does he have a scent, but he also found a way to hide the tattoo on his skin. Only the touch of wolfsbane can reveal a part of it.” He pulled out a small vial of wolfsbane and dabbed it on the rogue’s neck, revealing the faint outline of a lone wolf tattoo. The room gasped, the murmurs growing louder.“When I asked who he was working with, he didn’t talk much,” Alexander continued, his voice cutting through the noise. “But I found this.” He held up a cheque, the signature at

Remember, walls even have ears in werewolf world.""Alright," he sighed.“Lilac.”I turned to see Alexander approaching, his tall frame cutting an imposing figure against the backdrop of the grand hall. His sharp eyes were focused on me, and for a moment, I felt a flicker of unease. What did he want now?“Hello, Alpha,” I said, bowing my head slightly in respect.“Well, not yet,” he replied with a small smile, his tone light but his gaze intense.“You will be soon,” I said, forcing a smile of my own. || Lilac's POV || As we walked into the house, the familiar scent of home wrapped around me like a warm blanket. The tension from the council meeting still clung to my shoulders, but the sight of Mom rushing toward us, her face etched with worry, made me push it aside. She had been waiting anxiously, her hands wringing together as she paced the living room. The moment she saw us, her eyes lit up with relief. “How did it go?” she asked, her voice trembling slightly. I could see the worry in her eyes, the way her brows furrowed as she searched our faces for answers. Before I could respond, Ezra stepped forward, his excitement bubbling over. “You should have seen Lilac out there!” he exclaimed, his voice filled with pride. He launched into a dramatic retelling of the events, his hands flying as he mimed punches and jabs. “It was like Lilac threw a jab at Kael one from the left, one from the right and he couldn’t dodge any of them!” Mom’s eyes widened as she listened

    || Alaric’s POV ||She pulled away just enough to look up at me, her tear-filled eyes shining with something that made my chest ache. Anguish. Hope. Desperation."I can’t find Runa… I’m trying, and trying, but still no sign. Will you help me?" Her voice trembled, breaking slightly at the end.I stilled.Runa? The name was unfamiliar, but the way she said it like it meant everything sent a prickle of unease down my spine. Was it the alcohol talking? Some buried fear surfacing in her vulnerability? Or was there something deeper, something she hadn’t told me yet?I didn’t know. But right now, I didn’t care. All I knew was that Lilac was breaking in my arms, and I would do anything to hold her together.I cupped her face gently, wiping a stray tear from her cheek with my thumb. Her breath hitched, something unreadable flashing across her expression. She seemed lost, caught between past and present, between hope and despair.

  • His Abandoned Luna   56. Her Vulnerability-I

    || Alaric’s POV || I never thought I would feel this way for someone. Every little thing about her made my heart race. Her smile, the way her loose curls framed her face, the mischievous glint in her eyes when she teased me. But there were moments, fleeting and rare, when the warmth in her eyes would vanish, replaced by a hollow emptiness that made her seem like a completely different person. It was as if she carried a weight too heavy for her shoulders, a pain she refused to share. And then there was her scent lavender, soft and intoxicating, driving me and my wolf to the edge of madness. What kind of spell had she cast on me? I didn’t know, but I was utterly and irrevocably under it. This cabin had always been my sanctuary, my solitude. It was the one place where I could escape the chaos of the world and just be myself. I had never brought anyone here before. It was too personal, too sacred. But here she was, lying on my lap as if she had always belonged here, as if this

    || Lilac’s POV ||The cabin was bathed in the soft glow of the firelight, the warmth of the flames casting flickering shadows across the room. The scent of herbs and spices filled the air, mingling with the earthy aroma of the wood and the faint sweetness of the wine we had been sipping. Alaric moved around the kitchen with practiced ease, his muscles flexing as he chopped vegetables and stirred sauces. I couldn’t help but watch him, my eyes tracing the lines of his broad shoulders and the way his hands moved with precision and grace. There was something mesmerizing about the way he worked, the rhythm of his movements almost hypnotic. He was completely in his element, his focus entirely on the task at hand. But every now and then, he would glance over at me, his eyes meeting mine, and a small smile would tug at his lips. It was a smile that made my heart skip a beat, a smile that made me feel like I was the only person in the world.“Enjoying the vie

    || Lilac's POV ||After a few moments, Alaric led me to the kitchen, his hand still wrapped around mine as if he had no intention of letting go. The warmth of his touch sent tiny sparks up my arm, and I couldn’t help but revel in the feeling. The kitchen was just as breathtaking as the rest of the cabin rustic yet elegant, with wooden countertops, exposed beams, and shelves lined with neatly arranged jars of herbs and spices. A large window overlooked the vast forest beyond, the moonlight spilling in and bathing the room in a dreamy silver glow. It felt like something out of a fairytale our own little world tucked away from reality.Alaric finally released my hand to pull open the fridge, his sharp eyes scanning the contents.“Fish or chicken?” he asked, his voice light, as if this was just any other night, as if the weight of the world didn’t sit on our shoulders.I blinked, caught off guard by the question.“What are you up to?” I as

  • His Abandoned Luna   53. A Hidden Heaven-I

    || Lilac’s POV ||The car glided smoothly through the winding roads, the city lights fading into the distance as we ventured deeper into the woods. The trees grew taller and denser, their branches forming a canopy overhead that filtered the moonlight into a soft, silvery glow. The air was crisp and fresh, carrying the earthy scent of pine and the faint rustle of leaves. It felt like stepping into another world one untouched by the chaos and noise of the city.Alaric drove with ease. The road was lined with wildflowers, their colors muted in the moonlight but still vibrant enough to catch my eye. The further we went, the more the landscape changed. The woods gave way to rolling hills, and soon, towering mountains loomed in the distance, their peaks kissed by the stars. The beauty of it all took my breath away.“Where are we going?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper as I took in the scenery.“You’ll see,” Alaric replied, a small smile playing on his

    || Lilac’s POV || The hum of the car’s engine filled the silence as we drove away from the house, the city lights fading into the distance. My mind, however, slowly filled up with multiple thoughts which were anything but quiet. I tried to push it aside and focus on Alaric, but it was too late. “Okay, what’s bothering you?” Alaric’s stern voice cut through my thoughts, making me jump. “Nothing,” I replied quickly, my voice a little too high-pitched to be convincing. “It’s not nothing. You were fine just a second ago. Don’t lie, Dove,” he said, his tone firm but not unkind. He glanced at me briefly before turning his attention back to the road. I sighed, knowing there was no point in hiding it. “Well, a lot has happened lately,” I admitted, my voice soft. “And?” he prompted, raising an eyebrow. “There’s been an incident I didn’t tell you about,” I said, hesitating for a moment before continuing. “Unexpectedly, the Nightshades covered our bill at Moo

    || Lilac’s POV ||He left a lingering kiss on my forehead, his lips warm against my skin, before turning and walking away. The warmth of Alaric’s presence lingered in the room even after he left, his words echoing in my mind like a melody I couldn’t shake. My fingers brushed against my lips where his kiss still lingered. The intensity of his emotions, the possessiveness in his touch, and the vulnerability in his voice had left me breathless. I couldn’t help but smile, my cheeks flushing as I replayed the moment in my head. I stood there for a moment, my heart pounding, before I finally snapped out of it and rushed to my wardrobe.I opened my wardrobe, the rows of dresses and outfits staring back at me. I wanted to look perfect for tonight, not because I needed to impress Alaric, but because I wanted to feel confident, beautiful, and like the version of myself I was slowly becoming. I pulled out a few dresses, holding them up to the light and scrutinizing each one.

I closed my eyes, trying to calm the storm in my mind, but it was no use. Just as I was about to give up and get up, I felt a familiar presence in the room. “Alaric,” I whispered, sitting up abruptly. He was there, standing in the shadows, his presence both comforting and unsettling. Without thinking, I jumped off the bed and ran to him, wrapping my arms around him and inhaling his familiar scent of pine and earth. But something felt off. His body was tense, his arms stiff at his sides. “So, you still remember me?” His voice was harsh and low, sending a shiver down my spine. I pulled back, my heart pounding as I searched his face. “What do you mean?” I asked, my voice trembling. His hand pressed against my jaw, his grip firm but not painful, as he claimed my lips in a kiss that was demanding and possessive. It was unlike any kiss w
