CHAPTER 2

TAMSYN'S POV

I tied my soft brown hair into a ponytail as I stood in the small wooden room we had constructed before. I filled my black jean's pockets with chewing gum for my work. Looking around there was nothing that I hadn't packed. My phone rang at that moment:

 I saw the council's name and immediately answered the call.

“Tamsyn, the alpha is aware of your visit. Now do you need anything?"

“I need a packet of chewing gum still sealed. We need earbuds. We will all sleep in the same bedroom. Prepare for six beds. We need one laptop in our room. Then Alpha, tell him that we don't need Omega's to clean our rooms, we can do it by ourselves,"

Anderson chuckled softly:

“Anything else?"

“We need at least 3 notebooks and I think that is all,"

“Then I will call him to let him know. I wish you all the best Tamsyn,"

“Thanks, Anderson, "I whispered.

I turned to find my group members looking at me. Novalia then placed the map we have been using for our nomad life on my bamboo bed:

“So, the rising star pack isn't far from here. If we start in an hour, then eventually we will reach the rising star pack by tomorrow at dawn as you said," she said staring at me.

We remained silent then Lily asked:

“Did you at least order a packet of chewing gum?"

I nodded.

“So what is the plan?"Cruz broke the silence.

“We don't know our enemies yet so we are going to blend in as if we belong there. The person responsible for all that dirty work must come to the pack house at least once to know what is happening. Lily and Rose, you are in charge of reading minds."I said as they heard in silence.

Rose's eyes widened:

“Everybody's mind? Are you joking?"

“In each circumstance, I will give orders on whom to follow and whom not to follow," I said calmly.

“Great then," applauded Lily.

“Arden, we will place you as an army general. For that reason, we will be initiating the blood oath, since the most important part of a pack is the army. Any person who is a spy will die. It's lives of small pups which are in danger so the council had permitted the blood oath,"

“Okay. What else should I do?"He asked with his usual deep voice.

“You are going to behave as an army general but remember their levels of training end at level three. The rest is our secret,"

“Well received alpha," he said smiling.

I smiled back.

“Novalia, your cooking skills are needed. You will work in the kitchen. Remember, gossip takes place mostly in the kitchen. You are advised to be attentive. Keep an eye on every food that leaves the kitchen. Anything unusual you tell me, "I instructed.

“Of course. Do I have permission to eat as much as possible?" she asked with a smirk.

“Of course glutton. Just don't be constipated and forget your duty," Cruz taunted her.

We melted into laughter.

“Now guys we still have plans to trace. Now Cruz you will spend the whole day exploring the pack and some days you help as many people as possible. Unusual scents are to be reported. People with no scent are to be reported too, "I finished clearing my throat.

“Is that all I should do?"He asked scratching his blond hair.

“Avoid fights, please. Do not follow any stranger Cruz thinking you could take him down," Arden ordered him firmly.

His face darkened:

“It is only for your good so you better stop pouting," Novalia said with a smirk.

“Now upon our arrival, we will have their most trusted men. But still, we can't have total confidence in them. For that reason, we will be using our natural mind link, instead of theirs. Then our earphones will be used in communication with them"I finished.

“What will you be doing Tamsyn?"Lily queried grazing her nails.

“Simple love. I am going to integrate their system of government. I will have to be close to the alpha,"

“Wow! Is that alpha hot?" joked Novalia.

I raised my brow and she went silent:

“As a group on our own, we will be training on Saturday and Sunday.From 2 pm to 9 pm.Any worry?"

The silence told me no one had a question

“Kneel then guys, "I ordered doing the same.

We closed our eyes while holding each other's hands;

“Luna, we the blue-eyed rogues are going for another mission. And as usual, we know you are with us. Guide us Luna to take back these pups to their parents safely. May you show us the path to delivering them safely. Guide Cruz not to follow strangers and spoil our missions. Guide Novalia not to eat much and spoil our mission.Guide Lily and Rose to read the minds of the interesting facts not useless facts as they used to do. Guide Arden not to expose our fighting technics goddess. thanks, Luna for everything you have done for us before,"

The silence was intense but then Lily said:

“Luna may you help our leader not to fall in love with the alpha of terror"

Then they burst into laughter:

“Where did you hear that name?"I asked puzzled.

Rose looked at me and then said :

“I have my sources love,"

“I can walk for a long time in my human form. So who else can do that?"I asked.

The silence stunned me:

“I will carry our traveling back through the next four packs. If there is still no volunteer then I'll just drop it somewhere," I said smirking.

“I'll carry the bag when you're tired Tamsyn," Arden said in a gruff voice. I smiled.

“Come here guys for a last hug," I revealed opening my arms.

They instantly came to hug me. They could be ass' sometimes, but I loved them that way.

“Now let go kick some ass, "giggled Lily.

Cruz helped me carry the heavy traveling bag that contained all our belongings. Then I headed outside the cabin we had constructed before while the others followed.

I watched my siblings strip naked, and then each of them shifted into wolves.

I turned to Arden who was still in his human form, his piercing blue eyes shining into the night.

I observed him as he set our tents ablaze.

After making sure everything was reduced to ashes, he turned to us :

“Alright, guys let's go for our next mission. Wish the best for all. And know I love you all," he said through our mind link.

Our trip began and as usual, it was fun. Lily and Rosa throw jokes, Novalia whines about how hungry she is, and Cruz talks of how he dreamed.

Then, Arden being Arden, just smiled and was very reserved. I watched them joking with each other and I remember when we had our first mission.

Then when we had our most dangerous mission. I almost lost Cruz, I decided it would never happen again. I decided to always keep an eye on him.

“We will do that too Tamsyn. We are going to be there for each other, "Lily's mind linked to me.

“Were you reading my mind again flower?"I asked

“I can't help it Tamsyn" she chuckled.

The journey was long. At some point, Arden finally helped with our traveling bag.

When it was dawn, we took a rest for an hour then we continued our way.

I have always admired Arden but at this point, I couldn't say if it was respect or admiration. He remained calm and reserved, he did not show any signs of tiredness. He was indeed older than me by 2 years. For that reason, he behaved like the older brother I never had.

When the first Sun rays appeared, I smiled.

“We have reached the rising stars pack," Lily said happily through our mind link.

“But didn't the alpha say he was sending someone to receive us?"Rose queried with her eyes searching for a presence around.

“As you can see, he didn't have the good manners to welcome us properly."Lily shot back.

It was weird that none of them came to show us the way:

“OK, Guys calm down. After all, we are rogues, what could we have expected?"I asked smiling as I felt tension rising through our link.

“Now that we have the council's order, we are going to enter the pack. Whether they welcome us or not, we have access to their pack. So Can we go now?"

The silence told me I had won the battle. The only problem was that we never come to this pack before, so how to know where the pack house was?

Then I continued moving forward and soon I realized I may have entered the central pack which was breathtaking. They belt sky creepers, their gardens were magical. The only problem was I saw only one car.

I wondered why. Apart from that, everything was modern and beautiful.

I continued to walk while observing the beauty of the park when I heard someone scream:

“Rogues entered the pack,"

Before we knew it soldiers had circled us ready to kill without hearing what we had to say.

“What the hell is this? Weren't they aware we were coming?"Cruz asked confused.

Just at that moment, someone threw a needle with wolf'sbane, I dodged having no intention to fight but when one of the soldiers attacked openly, I lost it.

“Arden Keep the others safe please, "I said and attacked. The soldier was young and I didn't want to hurt him but all he aimed for was my throat.

Tired I gave him a blow behind his head, and he fell to the ground. Two others moved forward with swords: there were two of them. Openly flicking, I landed behind their backs.

Giving them my best kicks, I landed on the floor while they crumbled to the ground. But the other one was insisting, tired of him, I plunged his partner's sword into his belly. He could heal but not easily.

“What is happening here?"A voice thundered plunging the crowd that had gathered into silence.

I found myself forming a circle with my siblings who had shifted and were now naked except Arden who carried the heavy bag.

“I should be the one asking that question. We were informed that someone would be waiting, but no one was at the border. Who do you take us for?"I asked filled with anger.

Finally, someone moved forward. He had black hair and deep green eyes:

“I am sorry. When we heard tomorrow we didn't expect you people at 6 almost 7. We thought maybe at nine," He smiled apologically.

“Well, you thought wrong. Now someone should show your pack members some manners," I said eyeing the crowd.

“I apologize for their behavior. I am Aslan, beta of the rising stars pack," he said waving for the crowd to disperse.

“Apology not needed since the did has been done. I would have been happy to meet you but not in this circumstance. I am Tamsyn leader of the blue eyes rogues."

“Am sorry again Tamsyn.This way, please. We will go to your room, you freshen up before we meet the alpha." he said smiling again.

“Someone who has some manners in the rising stars pack"Lily commented making the beta turn red.

When we reached the door he turned to us and said;

“Welcome to the Rising Stars pack. I hope you enjoy your stay here," he said before disappearing.

“I doubt that," replied Novalia bitterly.

Ignoring her, I entered the room and they followed. Just like that, I fell on the soft bed and forgot everything. What a day we had!!!
