The rest of the drive to Abigail's Grandmother's mansion was slow. She was a little extra careful now in case any other stupid person decided to head first into the traffic again. She wasn't about to be responsible for someone's death, and she definitely didn't want a lawsuit in her hands right now. Stephanie, her lawyer, would definitely freak out.
As she drove into the driveway of her Grandma's mansion, she spotted Maurice and Elise running towards her. They must have been watching her from the window."Mama.” They both called out to her as they ran towards her, their hands wide open for a hug. All the stress of the day faded away as she felt the ardentcy of her girls' embrace."You are late again?" Maurice protested."I'm sorry my loves. Mama was in a meeting she couldn't get out of. But I got you some chocolates and gummy worms." She brought out the bags from the back seat of her car. They both snatched it from her, leaping around her excitedly."Where is your brother?" Abigail looked through the door, puzzled by why he was not here with his sisters."He's in the game room playing video games with Mr Ben." Maurice replied, still fondling with the packet of chocolates in her hand."He's been losing too.” Elise chimed in. There was a glint of both victory and anger in her eyes."Did Denise not let you play video games with him again?""No, I beat him once and he got mad."Abigail chuckled at her daughter pouting. To her, it was so interesting how simple the beef between children could be.She knew the reason Denise did not want his sister playing with him.was more than the fact she beat him, knowing Elise and how competitive she was. She probably was being mean and boastful about it too."Are you sure it wasn't because you were mocking him again?""It's not my fault that he lost and that he can't take the heat.""Hey! That's mean."Maurice laughed as she watched her sister being scolded."Alright let's go in.""Aren't we going home tonight mommy?" Maurice asked. Abigail’s eyes twitched. Wasn’t Maurice the type to always ask questions?"Well, yes but Mama has to talk to Grandma first.” Abigail said as she led the girls into the mansion."Good evening, Mrs Weston.”Abigail gave a curt nod to James, the door man, as she walked past him. She found her Grandmother in the kitchen, baking again."Ohhhh. Abigail honey, you are here. It’s been a while since your old woman see those chubby cheeks..” Abigail rolled her eyes at her Grandmother's exaggeration."I was here last week, Gran.” Abigail said as she dropped her bag on the table."Only to pick up the angels as usual."Abigail rolled her eyes again. She thought she'd at least get 5 minutes of hush and quietness before the side remarks started coming in but she guessed it was too much to ask after all. It was impossible."How have you been, Gran?" She asked, trying to lighten the mood."I've been good, you know, where you left me. And you, daughter?”"The same.”Abigail's grandmother was a classy woman in her early 70's. She was gorgeous and refined and had a slender body that most teenagers would kill to have. And just like Abigail, she had her blonde hair in a low bun."How did the meeting go?""Same as always.”Abigail didn't want to worry her grandmother about her skepticism or give her more reasons to call her clumsy and incompetent, so she remained mum about her suspicions about Donald inc."Good, good and how's the search for a husband going?"Abigail lips thinned. Of course, she'd ask about that again and she wondered why she was barely ever over to visit."For God’s sake, Gran, we've had this conversation a million and one times. I am not interested in marriage.""Every woman should have a man by her side if she desires respect." Abigail’s Grandmother slaps her hand on the table in annoyance."Oh my goodness, not this again.""What again, me telling you the truth?" She sniggered."Look Gran I really would rather not have this conversation right now. I have had a very long day and right now, my whole body aches. So please grandma, not today." Abigail spoke in full authority. But her grandma wasn’t the type of woman that would cower on such authority. Abigail knew that wasn’t the end of it."I'm only concerned for you. At least, if you aren't going to do it for you, do it for your kids." Her grandmother spoke softly this time around."My kids are fine. They don't need a father. They have me and I'm enough.""Are you, really?" She dropped the question and it bounced out a sturdy reaction from Abigail. She changed her sitting posture, focusing her face on her granny."What's that supposed to mean?" Abigail snapped."I'm just saying if you won't heed to my threats or the contract, you might as well let your kids have a normal childhood. They are Westons, sure, but they still need a father figure. You are just not enough.”Abigail felt hurt by her grandmother’s word, but refused to show it.She sighed… “Have the kids said anything to you.""When haven't they said something?" Mrs Weston scoffed."Everytime they come here, they tell me how you won't let them meet their dad and how their friends make fun of them at school."Abigail sighed in exasperation. She did not realize her kids' incessant questions about the identity of their father would extend to her Grandmother's ears. God knows who else they've told about their lack of father figure."You are doing great but at some point, you are going to need a man to take care of not just your kids but you. It is high time you knew that.”Abigail mused silently about her Grandmother's warnings. She had employed a new tactic. It was no longer the constant threat of never passing down the company to her like her father intended. Her father's condition was she was to be married before she could inherit his shares — now she was using her kids to manipulate her."You know I'm right, honey. Give this kids a chance to have a normal life, they deserve it.”**********It was 6pm the next day and Abigail found herself in a bar, few blocks away from work. It wasn't the usual bar she visited often. She wanted a change of scenery. The bar was fully packed, but it didn’t stop her from walking with her poise head on into it.She motioned to the bartender who immediately came right to her. Abigail’s breath was interrupted immediately she saw his face. The man standing before her was simply breathtaking. This has to be work of art. Anything, but definitely not human! He had brown hair that was the pigment of mahogany, and a jawline identical to the Roman and Greek Gods. There was no way a man like this worked as a bartender. Abigail mused silently. He wore a black T shirt that stretched across his chest but was loose around the hem. As he got closer, Abigail caught a whiff of his cologne. She taught he smelled of lavender and aftershave and something else. Alcohol maybe, she couldn't tell, aftersll she was in a bar."What can I offer you ma'am?" He asked with a smile. His voice was deep, almost too deep but smooth too. There was a hint of accent in his voice that Abigail couldn't quite place. Abigail didn't bother to return his smile, "A double Martini.” She said curtly. The bartender nodded and started to prepare her drink. She watched as he made her a drink with so much precision. He had a smooth way of doing things, she observed.Abigail took her time to study his features. She felt that something about him looked familiar, she just couldn’t get her fingers around it yet. Suddenly, flashes of the day before when she almost hit a man resurfaced. Yes! She remembers now. It was definitely him."Long day at work?" The bartender spoke as he swiftly went about making her drink."Excuse me?" Abigail didn't expect the man to speak to her with words like that."Your shoulders look stiff and you've been tapping on the table relentlessly. Plus, you are wearing a suit, you just seemed like you had a stressful day at work."Abigail thought about ignoring his question. Who did he think he was analyzing her like that? Did he know who he was speaking to so casually?"Are you getting paid to make useless observations too?" She asked, curtly."Ah, I get it..""Get what?""You are one of the brooding types. The very work-oriented kind of woman that believes she can conquer the world.""I have conquered the world.” She snapped. The Bartender smiled with glee. He knew he was right about her. Abigail was flustered by the man's audacity. All her life she had been told she was difficult to read or approach, and that she had to loosen up but she was uninterested in what people had to say about her and her character. This was why most people stayed out of her way. But why did this man think he could speak to her?The bartender slides her drink to her."Enjoy.” He said before walking off to a group of girls that had been trying to get his attention.Abigail watched him leave. He was a good flirt too as he made the girls giggle and listened to whatever they were saying. She seeped her drink in silence or at least as silent as it could be in a crowded bar.She was lost in the reverie of the ring when her phone rang. She picked it up, and it was Mark."What do you want Mark?""Why so serious, my love?"She could hear the smile in his voice and she clenched her fist."Don't call me that, what do you want?""Look behind you."Abigail turned to find Mark sitting in a booth, smiling from ear to ear."Join me.""Not interested." Abigail said and immediately hung up.She went back to her drink. She wasn't about to do this tonight. She was here to unwind and forget about her problems even if it was just for an hour or two, and she'd be damned if she let one of them stress her out.Her phone rang again and with a sigh she picked it up."What?" She snapped looking behind her again only to find Mark waving at her."Come sit with me, we need to talk""I told you, I'm not...""Trust me you'll want to hear what I have to say.”Abigail's hands balled as she heard that. She had a nagging feeling that Mark was about to blackmail her and she didn't like it. Something in her gut told her to ignore him but she had always been a curious girl. She needed to know what he knew so she could control things. She tried to pay for her drink but the bartender told her it was already taken care of by Mark. She walked towards Mark, her face unreadable. She could feel the stares of both men and women on her as she moved past, but she ignored them all. She was used to attention after all."This better be good.” She gritted her teeth as she took her seat opposite Mark."Hello to you too, and I'm doing great this evening."Abigail rolled her eyes… "What the hell do you want?""Do you want anything to drink?""No, tell me why you called me here?" She snapped impatiently."Well, I've been thinking about this for the longest time now, and I know it's sudden, but will you…marry me?""I beg your pardon?""Will you marry me?" Mark asked again. The look on Abigail's face was of utter confusion and shock. She wondered if she had heard him wrong, afterall the music was loud but after the second time, she knew it wasn't her hearing. Mark had really asked what she thought she heard. When he told her they needed to talk, never in a million years did she expect she was about to be proposed to."I heard you the first time, Mark. Is this some kind of a joke?""Of course not. I wouldn't joke with something as serious as a lifetime partnership" Mark smirked. There was something knowing about his smile that irked her. Abigail stared at him. A blank expression coursed through her face that she couldn't tell if this was some stupid prank he had devised yet again to piss her off. It wouldn't be the first time anyway, but this one was new.Mark was the son of the top 10 billionaires in the United States, and ever since his father retired and he became CEO, he had made it his life mission to try and sa
Walter walked into Abigail's office with a suitcase that unmistakably belonged to Stephanie. Abigail's lawyer."How's my favorite client doing." Stephanie sauntered in wearing her signature bright coloured suit. She was wearing a Yellow suit this time and somehow still managed to look good in it. Her red curls were packed in a low ponytail."Hey Stephanie!""Now tell me, what have you done now?""What's that supposed to mean?"Abigail protested. Stephanie was one of the handful of people Abigail loved and respected. "Well the only time you call these days is to get you out of some trouble, you got yourself into and most time it's trouble you cause on your own" "Accusations!""...That are true!Abigail smiled from ear to ear, she loved their little banter. Abigail met Stephanie in college, she was a sorority girl, with the biggest crowd in campus. They had met at a party and Stephanie saved her from a possible sexual assault. A bunch of people hated Abigail at that time, and some b
"Dude what the fuck, I asked For whiskey this is Beer." The voice of an angry customer dragged Marcel out of his thoughts. He looked up to find a furious brown haired man standing directly opposite him holding a glass of amber liquid. Marcel did not recall attending to this man or even taking his order. He must have been on autopilot when he took his order."What's going on?" Jerry, Marcel's manager asked as he made his way to the bar. He wore grey slacks and a green T shirt, his thick rimmed glasses were atop his head."Are you the manager?" The customer asked."Yes sir, what seems to be the problem?" Jerry asked again."Well, I ordered whiskey and this young man" the customer pointed at Marcel with his chin "...gave me beer or whatever is in this"Is that true Marc?" Jerry peered up at Marcel. A stern look that didn't seem to fit him etched on his face."I'm sorry sir, it was an accident..""You have to stop making accidents like this" Jerry turned to the customer to apologize. "I
Abigail admired the sun through her amber tinted sunglasses. She was on the rooftop of her favorite restaurant. It had been ages since she went out just by herself without the kids and truth be told she had not really planned to go anywhere after she finished from work, her plan was to pick up her kids from Maya, then tuck them into bed and reward herself with a relaxing bath in her Jacuzzi. But when Stephanie came barging into her office with a promise of sponsoring her lunch she couldn't exactly refuse. Taking her champagne from the table She took a small sip and proceeded to bask in the sun. She turned as she heard footsteps to see Stephanie walking back to their table. "You took a while in there. Got lost?" "I was there for 5 minutes!" Stephnanie countered, smoothing her short skirt before taking her seat. "Nope, you left at about 5:19 , its 5:31." "Oh my God, no wonder your workers can't stand you, you are a fucking control freak." Stephanie yelled throwing hee hands up
"So what do you think?" Marcel asked, concluding his story. He told his sister everything, from the first time he met Abigail to the proposal. By the time he was done Hailey had gone through several different emotions most of which was disbelief. "Are you fucking joking, of course you are going to take it" The look on Hailey's face suggested that it should be obvious what her brother should do. Hailey had always been a head first kid. Marcel knew this but he always admired her for it and how quick she made decisions and how rarely it ever backfired. She was only sixteen and she had acquired so much that Marcel was more of a proud father rather than an older brother. Out of his three sisters, Marcel was closest to Hailey. She was his little baby sister, feisty and strong-headed just like their late mother. "You think so?" Marcel asked, running his fingers through his hair like he was unsure if it was a good idea. "Do I? bro, you can't possibly be thinking of passing up an o
A bouquet of flowers arrived at Abigail Weston's office on Monday morning. She was busy getting ready for the monthly board meeting when Walter burst into her office holding a huge rose bouquet that covered his face and almost the top half of his body. He was doing his best not to look surprised at what he was carrying as he placed the flowers on a brown marble table close to the entrance."This came for you ma'am." Abigail looked at the bouquet of flowers as if any moment it would sprout out snakes and bite her. "For me?" She questioned, her tone flat. She was still staring cautiously at the flowers."Who are they from?""A Mr Marcel Williams Ma." Walter read the card out loud.Walter handed the card to her and Abigail took it, dismissing Walter.*Start your week with a bouquet of flowers and enjoy good fortune.* Abigail's brows furrowed in confusion. What did that even mean?? She thought.A tiny piece of paper fell from the card and she bent to pick it up. "In honor of our contrac
It was a Tuesday evening and Marcel had just come back from his evening run. All he wanted to do was take a shower as he was sweaty. Wiping sweat off his forehead and with the anticipation of getting into the shower, he opened the door to his apartment to find his sister, Hailey on his couch. "Hey Bro." Hailey smiled at her brother as soon as he entered. Marcel jumped in surprise, cursing under his breath. He had not expected to meet her there. Of course he decided to give her a key to his apartment. He briefly regretted his decision. "What the hell are you doing here?" He asked a slight annoyance in his voice. "What I can't come say hi to my favorite brother anymore?" She asked. "Wow, money really do change people." She added huffing. "Why didn't you call first at least?" He groaned internally, didn't need any of snide remarks. "I have to call to be able to get into your house now? You gave me a spare key!" "You know sometime I regret giving you a spare key to my apartment."
Marcel walked past Eustas who was holding the door for them, into the study. Hailey towed closely behind him looking out of place. She wore a Blue Jean and grey T shirt and held a back pack. Marcel wore something similar, A T shirt and Jeans. He locked eyes with Abigail who was sitting behind her desk, and smiled, Abigail didn't reciprocate his smile.. even though her eyes were fixedated on him. She watched as he approached her, like a hawk would watch his prey before striking. Her hair was in a bun again, Marcel was almost convinced that the bun was permanently glued to her head because of how often she wore it. She wasn't wearing any make up or if she was he couldn't tell. She truly is a beautiful woman. Marcel couldn't understand for the life of him why she would need to pay someone to act as her husband. There were plenty of men who'd be lucky to have her despite her rude nature. As he got closer he noticed another woman sitting beside Abigail. A slim curvy woman with curly
"I can't believe you guys would dump your own wedding reception! We were looking for you guys." Hailey exclaims walking into the hotel room Marcel and Abigail were in. "Here is the clothes you asked me to get for you.” Hailey glared at her brother handing over a bag to him."Sorry, and thanks." Marcel winks at his sis, getting up from the bed with a bed sheet tied around his waist, he walked into the bathroom so he could put it on. "I have to say that I did expect this from my brother, but not you Abigail. Couldn't you have stopped him, the elders weren't really pleased with you guys absence." Hailey sighs plopping down on the bed. Abigail blushed, how could she tell her sis in-law that she didn't even try stopping him, in-fact.. she was in agreement with them leaving their own reception. "I guess Marcel and I would have a lot of apologizing to do after our honeymoon." Abigail sighs. "Yes of course, you do." "I don't really see why we have to apologize for being a normal couple
"Congrats on your wedding Abigail, and this taco's taste delicious. Don't tell me Reggie made it." Racheal greets Abigail sitting down beside her, on a seat meant for Marcel.A little bit of jealousy grew in Abigail's heart, knowing that Marcel had taken Racheal to street food location and that, they probably went there for dates a lot."Yes it's Reggie." She faked a smile, using her eyes to find Marcel. "If you are looking for Marcel, I saw him having a conversation with your grandma, by the ice cream and waffles stand." Racheal informs on noticing the look Abigail had in her eyes, Racheal did not need anyone telling her those eyes were in search of only one person, Marcel."Ohh I see." Abigail replied awkwardly. "Uhm.. I just well, wanted to congratulate you on your wedding. I will go mingle with the others and see if I can find myself a husband of my own." Racheal winked at her standing up then walked away.Yeah.. do that, Abigail thinks watching her go. "Don't tell me the bride
"What? Divorced? What do you mean you are getting divorced?" Mrs Williams asked her daughter standing up abruptly."I never loved Harry, I only agreed to marry him just so I could be far away from the house. But it turned out that it was the most stupid decision I have ever made in my life." Mabel voiced out blinking back tears."What do you mean you wanted to get out of the house??" Mrs Williams asked looking confused."Daddy had just gotten his knee broken, and he was all over the house with his angry nature. And you.. you weren't helping either, every little thing back then irritated you because you were the only one bringing money into the house, cause I couldn't get a job. I felt so cramped up in the house and that was why I agreed to get married to harry." "Ouch." Sophia let's out and Hailey glared at her.“I didn’t know I made you feel that way.” Mrs Williams voiced out, feeling sorry.“Well you did, I felt pathetic.” Mabel looked down at her plate of food.“I’m sorry my child
***************************On A Friday: Hailey’s school***************************"I can't believe my baby is finally done with high-school, and now wants to go to Harvard." Mrs Williams cried out, caressing her daughter's face, then she pats her hair lovingly. "Mum, can you please stop re-fixing my hair and please, let go of me so I can go join my classmates, where they are all seated." Hailey said frowning at her mother with great displeasure, today was her graduation and her whole family was here to support, including Abigail and the triplets. "Of course I should, but I am so happy for you child." Mrs Williams poured out hugging her daughter once more. "We are all happy for her mum, so why don't you let go of her? And congrats sis." Marcel winked at Hailey, helping her to bring the hug to an end. Hailey quickly walks away, while mouthing the word.. "Thank you." "Mum, let's go seat with the rest of the family." Marcel suggested, leading his mother to where.. Mabel, Sophia, hi
*************************Sunday morning.*************************"Ahhh, Marcel.. oh myyyyy, ahhhh." Abigail moaned her voice resonating in the hotel room, her fingers clutched onto Marcel's back as he plunged into her repeatedly."I.. think.. ahhh, I'm going to cum!" Abigail yelled, "Then do it." Marcel replied breathlessly, beads of sweat dripping from his face as he increased his pace, bringing not just Abigail but himself into full release mode. Sputtering all of his seeds inside of her.He fell down beside her on the bed, his chest heaving heavily. "If we go on this way, I might just become addicted." Abigail murmured laying her head on his chest."I don't mind.. cause I'm already addicted. I'm addicted your moans, the curve of your body, the way you moan out my name.. I'm addicted to everything." He whispered huskily biting down on her ear lobe. Biting her ear lobe was one of the things he was becoming really addicted to. Abigail felt something twitch on her leg, she looked
Abigail opened her eyes sleepily, she stared at the empty space beside her on the bed and wondered where Marcel had gone to. “Marcel?” Abigail called standing up from the bed, wrapping the white bed sheet around her body. “I’m here.” Marcel answered from the balcony. Abigail walked over to the balcony and saw him standing, his body resting on the railings. “Good morning.” Abigail greets wrapping her arms around his waist from the back. “You mean good afternoon, right?” Marcel asked turning around and placing a kiss on her forehead. “What? There’s no way I would have slept that long.” Abigail replied frowning. “Well you did. And I can’t blame you, after what went down all through the night.” He smirked at her, Abigail blushed. Her stomach suddenly rumbled, and she held it in embarrassment.“It’s nothing to be embarrassed off, after the hot section we had last night, plus you sleeping till 3 in the afternoon, definitely you would be hungry.” He chuckled, Abigail blushed again, “
"Thank you Hailey, for agreeing to watch the kids for the week." Abigail appreciates as both her and Marcel walks out of the house, with Hailey right behind them."The both of you should spend a lot of time rolling on the sheets, so I don't regret it." Hailey replied grinning. Abigail blushed."Well.. see you on sunday evening sis." Marcel said opening the car door for Abigail, and then he runs over to the driver seat and got in."So.. where are you taking me to?" Abigail asked. "How was your talk with Mark?" Marcel asked putting aside her question, for some reason he felt jealous that she would go visit the man in prison, he couldn't understand why she had to do that. The idiot tried coming in between then, not to forget he almost took her company from her and also killed his own baby."It went well.. we kind of made up." "What?" Marcel cast a quick glance on her then returned his gaze back to the road.Abigail giggled at his reaction, "Uhm, I kind of found out why he hated me.. l
***********************Friday; Prison.***********************"Why are you here?" Mark asked folding his arms on his chest, staring at Abigail with disdain."To come see you of course, and cheer you on. I heard you would be taking to court on Tuesday." Abigail replied with a smirk, sitting down opposite him in the visiting room."Yeah, and who's fault is that! We had a deal Abigail, but you chose to backstab me on the back. Just know whenever I do get out of here, you would be a dead meat." Mark banged his hand on the table between them, his eyes dead serious. But that did not scare Abigail one bit."How about you deal with your lawsuit first, before worrying about how to kill me." Abigail states leaning back on her chair, a smirk dancing on her lips. "Why are you here? To gloat?" "Nope, I was curious about something but now that I see you, I don't feel like quenching my curiosity anymore." Abigail shrugged her shoulders."What do you mean? Curious about what?" Mark frowned.Abiga
“What’s wrong Marcel? Why are you staring at me in such manner?” Abigail asked frightened by his cold gaze.“Why did you do that? Why?? She’s a woman just like you and you were okay with what happened to her.” Marcel breathes out in disbelief, he punched the wall next to him driving Abigail into a state of shock. “Just the mere thought of you watching that video and not batting an eyelid makes me wonder who the heck I had fallen in love with, you make me want to puke Abigail!” He screamed at her, his fist having an engagement with the wall repeatedly. He knew if he did not find a way to tame the building anger inside of him, Abigail might be the recipient of his punches. “Marcel stop, please stop, you are hurting your hands.. oh my God, you are bleeding.” Abigail panics, she reached out her hand so she could hold his.. taking a step closer towards him.“Don’t! Don’t, come any more closer. I don’t know what I would do next and who I would be doing it to.” He said calmly, his gaze me
