Chapter 25: Distract Him

I spent my whole evening finishing my work.

Unfortunately, Desmond was watching me the whole time. He wouldn't remove his gaze away from me. He kept staring at me while I tried my best to concentrate on sewing his trousers.

"You know what is best to do at this point, Seraphina?" Desmond asked.

I tried so hard not to yawn and focused my eyes on the needle I was using. "To sleep, yes," I said, not interested in engaging in conversation with him.

He chuckled darkly. "Are you that sleepy?" he asked softly.

I didn't answer and just released a sigh. I was too tired not to say anything. All I wanted was to finish this. I felt like I was returning to the same workload back when I was working at Madam Ibanez.

Ah, yes. I would be able to finish this tuxedo and would return to that kind of environment soon.
