Beginning Of A New Life

We returned home mated and marked. Zavion drove us home and he didn't let go of my hand during the whole ride.

"How do you think the family will take to the news?" I eyed him, a little nervous. His gaze was fixed ahead on the road before he turned his face to look at me.

"I am sure they will be ecstatic," he flashed me a gentle sweet smile. I smiled back, assured now. His effect on me was astounding. All my nervousness was put to rest merely by his smile. For someone who had lots of trust issues, it was so easy to trust him. I glanced at his mark and felt pride swelling in my heart.

"Ain't you going to hide it?" I nodded towards the mark. He already figured out what I was talking about.

"Nope. I am going to show it to the world. Back off bitches, I am claimed," he said mischievously and gave me a lopsided grin. I chuckled. It's very rare of him to speak so casually. But fortunately, I was seeing his play side more often. Ain't I one lucky woman? He is so charming when he smiles.
