Chapter 74 - Nyx

It’s about three hours before the Riding Hoods are supposed to enter the fae realm. I made sure that I was “chosen” for guard duty earlier today so that I could get my warding materials out to the entry point and the beginnings of the spell started. I had to be careful not to do too much. The Red One would notice if any part of the spell was activated or if too many of the ingredients started to hold a charge. And that would be a problem.

Though, she would be even more pissed if she had any idea how many of her witches liked to go into battle stoned as fuck. We each had plots of land in the ether that we used to cultivate whatever we needed to grow for our spells. I had an entire acre dedicated just to weed so that I could use it to barter with those witches. They seemed to think that it helped them access their powers. What it really did was dull their senses and make them less afraid. But it also made them slower to respond and eaiser to get the jump on.
