Chapter 7

I woke up drenched in sweat. Had a puddle laying beneath me. I say up and saw it was still light outside. I went to stand but got super light-headed and ended up smacking the floor instead. Rylin jolted up out of his sleep and rushed to me.

"You dofus, you're going to hurt yourself. You body is literally changing right now and adjusting to not having that poison in your system. You can't just get up and walk around yet." He said with this husky deep sleepy voice.

He scooped me up and felt how hot I was and carried me to the bath tub. Sat me down in the chair next to it and walked back in the room to get me so soap and shampoo.

He ran the water for me and then the doctor came in.

" Let me get your temperature Kalina." He said with a concerned look on his face. Stuck the thermometer in my mouth and went and chatted with Rylin in the room briefly.

I could hear the sheets being stripped from my bed as the doctor walks back in.

"Goodness 104, we're going to put you in a cold bath and up your dosages. Then I just want you to sleep. Rest will help with all of this and get you feeling right. I'm going to send Rylin in here to help you get ready for the bath. I started to protest but before I opened my mouth he was out the door and Rylin was walking in.

I glared at him" Keep your eyes above the chest you hear me." He laughed at me.

"Yes ma'am. I'm just here to help." He grinned at me. He was really enjoying this.

He helps me in the bath but I couldn't lift my lower half up high enough so he had to grab a hold of my butt and lift me into the tub. He really was starting to rub off on me. He seemed to genuinely care for me but I still have him an evil side eye for touching my butt. I've never been with anyone and only person to every see me naked was mom. This was terribly awkward for me but he seemed to enjoy it.

I look up at him while I shiver in the cold bath and ask "Why was all the poison in me? Do you think it was my mom?"

He sat and thought about what he was going to say before he opened his mouth."if you're wondering if you're mom was trying to harm you, no I don't think she was but she was definitely trying to suppress you're wolf form, I believe to protect you."

I didn't say anything back. I just stared off into the distance.

"There's a lot you're going to learn in the next few weeks and honestly I wish she hadn't hid all of it from you because you're going to feel bombarded with everything. There's rule and many things that will seem odd at first but you'll soon feel at home and grasp everything. For now it's just getting you adjusted to you becoming one with you're wolf."

"You know for a kidnapper, you're pretty nice. Guess I lucked up on this one." I snickered to him. He let out an adorable laugh.

I really felt drawn to this man who was still such a stranger to me. But somehow he knew more about who I was and what I needed more than myself. Plus he genuinely seemed to care for me.

He looked at me with his Amber eyes still looking sleepy as they seemed heavy and said I'm going to have the doctor come in and get your temperature before we get you out. He didn't even leave the room and then we heard a knock on the door. The doctor walked in handed me the thermometer and walked back out.

what was this mindlink thing. Were they like telepathic or something, I was starting to have so many questions that were going to need answers I probably wasn't ready for.

The thermometer went off and doctor walked back in.

" 99.8, Good she can get out now. Let get her back to bed and have her rest some more." He walked out the bathroom and Rylin got up and grabbed a few towels.

He started to drain the water and waited until it was empty before setting a towel over me and wrapping me up to cover me. He sat me on the chair and handed me some underwear and a sport bra. I slid them on slowly my body feeling 50 pounds heavier. He wrapped a towel over my shoulders to stop my hair from soaking my back. He then picked me up and started his way to the bed.

"No clothes?" I said feeling way to exposed.

"No you're body's to hot." The doctor states as Rylin starts to lie me in the bed. "I upped you're antibiotics, I'm going to let you rest some more and I'll be back in a few hours to take some labs and see how well your body's responded.

I sat there for a while not being about to fall back asleep. Looking over at Rylin he was watching over me without trying to be so obvious about it.

"What's a mindlink?"

He fiddles his thumbs,"well it's something Alphas can do with their packs and their mates after they are marked and mated to each other. Its a way to communicate through the mind so that your pack can get informed quickly and be able to act swiftly to your command."

"Mates?" I say raising my eyebrows feeling my forehead wrinkle up.

You could tell he wasn't ready for all the questions and definitely not so early in the morning.

"The moon goddess picks our mates once we've had our first shift you can sense who you're mate is by the first look at them. Love at first sight if you will. Their fated to be together and they feel it in their bones."

"Moon goddess?"

He's now chuckling at me. " Yes, like I said there is a lot for you to learn. Now get some sleep once you're out of here tomorrow we've got a big day and a lot of you're questions should get answered.

He rolls over in his side closing his eyes and I watch him drift off to sleep. He was so handsome. He slept with his mouth open and slightly snored. Crinkling his nose with each snore that seeped through his perfectly plumped lips. His arms wrapped around his pillow showing off his well chiseled biceps. As I stared and basically drooled over him I slowly drifted to sleep.
