Lunch

Ruby was woken by the sun's rays streaming through the window. She turned several times before she finally opened her eyes. She stretched happily and turned only to see that she was alone in the bed.

Her cheeks grew hotter as the images of all that transpired the previous night started replaying like a movie in her mind.

She grabbed a pillow and shoved her face into it as she screamed. She brought it down and patted her flaming cheeks.

“Did that really happen last night?” She thought aloud and squealed like a teenage girl that just been complimented by her crush.

She hugged the pillow tightly as she remembered the sweet words that Jaxon whispered to her.

“He cares about me. Does that mean he is beginning to love me!” She felt giddy as she talked to herself.

She hurriedly got down from the bed and went to take a warm bath. She prepared a rose scented bath for herself and soaked for about fifteen minutes before she patted her skin dry and applied her moisturizer.
