Jaxon kept glancing at Ruby as he drove away from the graveyard. He felt helpless tad he watched the soft shaking of Ruby’s body as she cried.

She was looking away from him and Jaxon hated that. He didn’t want her to ever feel the need to hide her pain away from him. Ruby was staring out the window and Jaxon sighed softly as he placed a hand on her thigh.

“Gem, are you okay? Do you need something?” Jaxon softly asked and Ruby’s heart clenched as her crying reduced to small sniffles.

“I’m fine and I don’t need anything.” Ruby sniffled.

Jaxon's heart felt heavy with the weight of Ruby’s sadness. He didn’t like seeing her sad even though he knew she needed to mourn her sister. He silently tapped her thigh with his hand, a silent display of comfort and support. He wanted her to know that he was there for her.

His eyes were filled with concern as he desperately thought of ways to ease her pain and make her happy. He was desperate to take away her pain. His heart was aching with the desire
