Jaxon's mind was running in circles as he pulled up at the house.

He had told Ruby he would handle the press and he did just that when he had called Damon and told him to get all news of them off the press.

They had succeeded at first when all articles were removed and things had gone quiet. But that was only for a few hours.

What Jaxon wasn't capable of stopping was word of mouth. People still talked about the articles, and before he knew it, new, more outrageous articles and magazines had come up with a more scandalous version of the story.

They had written something about Ruby being a prostitute and secret employee of his whom he had paid to keep other women off his back because he didn't actually want to get married and wanted to change women as often as he liked.

And that was the least scandalous story of the bunch. The truth of the matter was in there somewhere but it had quickly been distorted with the amount of lies being added to the story. He had to give it to the press,
