Jess did not want to let Henry go, but she could not ignore Sergeant James' orders.

Even though her father was Sergeant James' superior, she avoided using her family connections. Her colleagues were unaware that she was the daughter of Paul Drayson, the provincial department's Secretary of Discipline.

After hanging up the phone, Jess told someone to unlock Henry's handcuffs and said coldly, "Henry, you're quite capable. Are you pleased now?"

"Not really; I didn't do anything. I hope your team conducts a thorough investigation to find the real culprit."

"Don't worry, I will. But I'm worried it will implicate you again. By then, no one will be able to help you."

"That won't happen!" Henry smiled slightly.

He stood up and said, "I'm leaving now, Ms. Drayson. See you when I see you."

"We'll definitely meet again," Jess said coldly.

She reasoned that Henry should avoid crossing her path, or he would regret it.

She would not back down if there were evidence, even with Sergeant James
