When Lora saw Carol's excitement, she remembered how she was nearly raped earlier. "Carol, are you sure Marco told them not to harm me?" she asked coldly.

Carol paused for a moment as she was asked that unexpected question. She quickly said, "Yes, of course, I'm sure."

Lora could already guess the answer when she saw Carol's hesitation, and she yelled angrily, "That's ridiculous. Sanders claimed there was no instruction given at all. He even attempted to rape me."

"What? This happened? Perhaps I heard it wrongly," Carol said when she realized she could not hide.

"Really?"

"Of course! Did you think I'd lie to you? Given our relationship, how could I possibly lie to you?

"That's true. Perhaps I'm overthinking it," Lora said with obvious reservations.

"It must be. You still haven't told me how Henry is doing?" Carol could not help but keep asking.

When Lora heard that, her emotions became cold. She became increasingly convinced of Henry's words. Carol was a selfish person.
