Avril's Point Of View

We were finally going home.

Home.

As I made my way out of the grand hall, my thoughts were in a state of chaos, overwhelmed by the events of the past few weeks. The memories of those incidents were still fresh in my mind, and I couldn't shake off the unease that had haunted me ever since.

Upon our arrival, all my attention was directed towards Duan and Neri as I was determined to break off my betrothal contract. However, the others were preoccupied with supporting Mother and dealing with her issues. Little did we realise that our problems were related and would involve a monumental conspiracy to oust my mother from the rightful position of the Fae Queen. It was a complex situation that required our utmost attention and effort to resolve.

The protective shield that encircled our borders was a formidable force that kept the Dark Fae at bay. Now, with the collective power of all the magical beings present, it has been fortified to an unprecedented level. The shield'

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Future Books

Hi, all my lovely readers.Book 3 is finally finished and published. While I have started the next book, I will also be writing a side quest that really should be told first. It will provide the necessary background for Books 4 and 5. These two books are set in the future and are based around Prince Cedric and Princess Lucianne. The side quest, Dragon Princess, involves Christina, who is Daemon's younger sister.A few other side quests, stand-alone novellas involving Aurora, Evangelos, Ruby, and Lysandros, are also planned. They will happen later.I will not be posting Side Quest 1 chapters as I write them, as school report season is approaching, and I will be swamped with them. If you notice any mistakes, please leave a comment. I have endeavoured to find as many mistakes as I can, but have no doubt missed a few.

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess

Hi everyone.Dragon Princess is finally finished, despite a few accidents, including a dented shin bone and ripped stitches. Not to mention work, with it being a production year. Glad that is over. I will be posting it here, and it will be available in book form as well. I am arranging covers for books 2 and 3 and the current one. There are another couple of side quests, which I may write at a later date, but I want to start book 4 at the end-of-year holidays.I hope you enjoy.

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 1 The Lycan King's Ancestry

Christine's Point Of ViewStanding in the kitchen of the new packhouse, I was preparing bottles and baby cereal for the twins, Cedric and Lucienne. They weren't awake yet, but it wouldn't be long. It was Adele, their usual nanny's day off today. My brother, Daemon, and his mate, Adriana, had been away for almost two weeks now. It was a long time since they had been away from the twins. They would be missing the twins immensely.I kept telling the twins about their Mummy and Daddy and how they were off saving the nice Fae from the evil Fae, not that I used the term evil. Even though they probably didn't understand me, I would still tell them.I was deep in thought, looking out the window at the forest's edge. The late morning sunlight filtered through the canopy and cast a warm glow over the leaves. Suddenly, I heard voices coming from the dining room. One of the voices belonged to Perry, Adriana's Beta, who managed the Kingdom's affairs for her. He was originally a representative of t

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 2 The Search Begins

Christine's Point Of ViewI couldn't believe it. Both Daemon and I were not only ascended from Wolf Shifters but also from Dragon Shifters. To say that I was excited would be understated. Finally something was happening to me, and there was the probability of an adventure."I might be able to shed some light on that," Mum said. "There was a story told to me by my Mum. She said that her mother was kept from her fated mate by his people. They wouldn't allow them to stay together. My grandmother and her fated mate had obviously been together for enough time for her to go into heat, be mated, and get pregnant with my mother. She had to give birth without her mate there and died of a broken heart in the end. It was tragic."It was decided that Mum would go and get her DNA test as well to determine whether our Dragon ancestry came from her or

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 3 Meeting Agatha

Christine's Point Of ViewThe sun had barely risen as we embarked on our journey to the remote town where Agatha supposedly lived. My excitement kept me wide awake despite the early hours. We were travelling by SUV, of which Daemon had lent us three of them. With only nine of us, we would be transported in comfort.Beside me sat Hannah, the witch who had agreed to come along, who seemed calm and focused. Our driver was one of the six Royal Pack warriors. Richard was in the lead SUV with two warriors, while the remaining three were in the final vehicle. The six warriors and Richard, our Royal Guard, surrounded us in a defensive formation, as protective as possible while travelling this way. It felt both empowering and a bit overwhelming to have such an entourage. We reached the small town by e

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 4 Unveiling the Hidden

Christine's Point Of ViewAgatha's hatred for shifters was born from those traumatic experiences, making it difficult for her to trust anyone from the shifter communities, let alone help them.Sitting here in Agatha's living room, I tried to digest everything she had shared with us. It was certainly an emotional rollercoaster, ranging from sadness, some anger, all the way to astounded. She had been through a lot in her long life, and to learn that it was at the hands of Wolf Shifters both angered and saddened me."I understand why you might be reluctant to help us," I said softly, my voice filled with empathy. "Your story is heartbreaking, and I'm truly sorry for what you've endured. But this is important to us, to understand our lineage and perhaps even to make amends for the wrongs of the past."

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 5 Encounter with Prince Asher

Christine's Point Of ViewAfter leaving Agatha's house, we went to Ernesto's, one of the two restaurants in this little town. For such a small place, there were quite a few shops and eateries. The number rivalled our own pack village, and I would guestimate that we had more pack members than residents in this town."How many residents are in this town?" I asked the waitress when she delivered our drinks."Around 350, I think," she answered, "But we have tourists in the summer and winter months. In summer, they come for nature walks and treks. The scenery is something, is it not?"I nodded, even though I really hadn't taken much notice. Our own pack lands were surrounded by similar surroundings, with the benefit of no humans.Taking my nod in

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 6 Getting To Know Each Other

Asher's Point Of ViewLeaving the ancient building on the mountainside behind, I couldn't shake off the unease simmering beneath my excitement. The journey to the Royal Pack with Christine and her entourage felt like stepping into a new world filled with potential challenges and unknowns. Despite my outward calm, the weight of what lay ahead pressed heavily on my mind.It took us all day and well into the night because we reached the Royal Pack. During that time, Christine and I got to know each other. Talking was all we could do, considering the witch, Hannah, was in the vehicle with us. I was ready and willing to mate and mark Christine, but it would have to wait. From what I could see from the vehicle, the Royal Pack's lands were vast, with sprawling forests and well-maintained buildings. Its lands were far more extensive than our wei

I hope you enjoyed that short story. It was rather important because it was the beginning of the Supernatural Council, which is mentioned in Book 4.Book 4: The Gamma and her two Alphas follow Princess Lucienne and is set just over 18 years into the future. Lucienne is not entirely happy being a princess and certainly is not all ladylike like her mother, Queen Adriana, wishes she was. In fact, she can be a bit of a rebel at times and pulls no punches if you piss her off. Book 4 has been started and will be posted starting January 2025.Check out my I*******m page (nikoradepressedpoet) for pictures of the latest covers. Each book will be available in paperback. I am rewriting parts of Book 1. The covers for books 4 and 5 are already designed.

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 30: A New Dawn

Asher’s Point of ViewAndreas fell to the ground, crumpling against the cold tiles, his body barely clinging to consciousness. The fury in his eyes was still present, but it was mingled with something else—fear. “You may have won this battle, but there are others who believe in the purity of Dragonkind,” he rasped, his voice barely a whisper. His words hung in the air, a twisted echo of the truth he could no longer deny. The irony was palpable; he had sought power through a dark alliance, yet he spoke of purity as if it still held weight. He had traded the purity he claimed to uphold for power, and now, even that was slipping through his fingers.Father stepped forward with the Council behind him, his expression one of grave disappointment. “Andreas, you and your father have sown discord among our people and disgraced your family name. T

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 29 Clash of Fates

Asher’s Point of ViewMy Dragon and I were enraged by Andreas’s words describing our fated mate as a dog. Rin placed her hand against my arm, its muscles tense and coiled tightly, fists clenched in anger. Her gentle touch acted like a soothing balm, softening my clenched fist.Slowly, I felt the anger beginning to dissipate, the pressure easing as I relaxed under her calming influence. The contrast between my earlier state and this new sense of peace was palpable, reminding me of the power of our bond. There was nothing Andreas could say that would make me turn against Rin. I would rather lose my crown than be without her.The tension in the council chamber was electric as Andreas continued to spew venom, his arrogance infuriating. I could feel the Dragon within me thrumming, eager for a confrontation. “Enough!” I

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 28: Truth and Treachery

Christine’s Point of ViewThe air felt thick in the chamber, as if the magic that summoned Andreas and Viggo hung around, binding us in an unseen net of tension. Viggo’s face was drawn tight, his eyes flickering with a dangerous mix of fear and rage. At the same time, Andreas’ expression remained cold and calculating. His eyes darted around the room, assessing, scheming.Andreas recovered first, straightening as if pulling on an invisible cloak of authority. “What you claim is… nonsense,” he panted, glaring at Eiríkr. Fighting the compulsion to tell the truth was taking its toll and making him sweat. “I’ve been… nothing but… loyal… to our kind. This… is a… farce!” He was panting now from the sheer exertion.Asher stood tall next to me, his ha

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 27 The Unraveling Web

Christine’s Point of ViewWe slowly made our way back, twisting and turning through the enchanted passages to the awaiting Council Members. Asher had already mind-linked his father, who assured him they would be waiting. We weren’t the only ones who had news since the archiver from the Council of Witches and Warlocks had found some interesting information. The Council Chambers buzzed with a quiet intensity. Though our alliance remained steadfast, the growing unrest among the Dragon-Shifter populace threatened everything we had built. Outside these walls, whispers of dissent were rising, fueled by fear of change and manipulation by those who sought to close our society once again.Asher stood beside me, his expression grim as he explained what we found in the books. “While we have nothing concrete at this stage, if we do

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 26 Secrets of the Past

Asher's Point of View"So you think he's using his own son as a pawn?" Adriana asked. Her question was answered, "I think Viggo would use anyone—blood or not—to get what he wants." I agreed with Father. This was part of the reason why I didn't want much to do with my uncle, aunt, and cousins. My grandfather had forced Father and Viggo to take chosen mates, ones he thought were acceptable for the Royal Family. Both were well-educated, refined women from noble families. My parents had at least fallen in love eventually, even if they weren't fated mates. Father had never met his fated mate, or at least, that was what he had told me. When my mother, Áslaug (AWS-lough), died, he was heartbroken but still able to function.Viggo

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 25 The Gathering Storm

Asher's Point of ViewThe council chamber felt colder than it ever had before. No matter how many fires roared in the hearths or candles flickered against the heavy stone walls, a chill seemed to seep into my bones. I couldn't put it entirely down to tiredness, even though I was exhausted fighting two battles in such a short time.No. It was a combination of many things. Andreas' smirk, the flames from the explosion, and the insignia of the Purists haunted me as I sat at the table, my hands clenched so tight that my knuckles were white.Rin sat beside me, her expression hard but eyes betraying the same exhaustion and worry I felt. It had been hours since we returned from the first fight, but with the second battle, we hadn't had a moment to breathe. There was no time for rest when the Purists were gaining ground. My cousin, Andreas, was

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 24 Flames of Betrayal

Asher's Point of ViewAs soon as Rin and I returned from the marketplace attack, we called for an emergency council meeting. The tension in what we now referred to as the council chamber hung in the air, thick enough to cut through. The servants had been busy changing the room. It was now a place of stark contrasts. Ancient banners from each species hung from the high vaulted ceilings, their vibrant colours dulled by the weight of war. The air smelled faintly of smoke and iron, a reminder of battles past and future.Every seat around the grand, circular table was filled. Dragons, Wolves, Vampires, and the Lycan King and Queen united under one roof. Yet, for some reason, it felt as if we were all divided by the constant threat looming over us.The Purists were growing bolder, and tonight

  • Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)   Dragon Princess - Chapter 23 Shadows of Resistance

Christine's Point of ViewThe days that followed were a whirlwind of activity. We launched joint patrols, organised public gatherings, and ensured that every species—Dragons, Wolves, Vampires, Fae—was represented. It wasn't easy. There were still plenty of sceptical people, glares, and whispered doubts. But slowly, I began to see a shift. In the streets, I saw Wolves patrolling alongside Dragons. Vampires and Fae worked alongside Dragons in the markets to keep the peace. It wasn't perfect, and tensions were still simmering beneath the surface, but it was progress. And I started feeling hopeful for the first time in what felt like forever.Asher and I stood on a balcony overlooking the domed city one evening, watching as the lights of the stronghold twinkled in the darkness of the weir. The air was cool, carrying the scent of snow from ou
