Adriana’s Point of View

Daemon's voice quivered as he spoke, his gaze filled with a renewed determination, "We cannot waste any more time. Let's remark each other, ensuring that our connection remains intact. Our strength relies on it."

I blushed at the suggestion. The last time we had made love was mere days before he rejected me. I wondered if I was ready for this level of intimacy yet, given that I was still hurting.

"Daemon," I murmured, feeling my face heat up in embarrassment. "Let's talk about this privately. Later."

"Perry, before we go," I said. "What are the legal requirements for executing the prisoners?"

"The Council of Alphas are sending a new representative to liaise with you. They will undoubtedly want to hear the evidence for themselves since it involves an Alpha and his daughter."

I remembered that Perry was here originally to investigate Daemon for killing Alpha Brandon. Delilah had been able to supply the Council, via magic, with the proof they needed, so Daemo

Daemon’s Point of View I felt invigorated now that the bond between Adriana and me was fully connected again. Theo was finally communicating with me again, letting me know in no uncertain terms how he felt about rejecting our mate. While Theo understood on one level why it had happened, he couldn't fully understand why I couldn't stop myself from rejecting her, so he was angry. It would take time for him to get over it. Over the next few days, I made a concerted effort to bridge the gap between Theo and myself. I approached him with empathy, acknowledging the pain I had caused him by rejecting our mate, Adriana. I explained how blood magic controlled my actions rather than being a true reflection of my emotions. Theo listened, his anger slowly giving way to a glimmer of understanding. He eventually realised that this was a complex situation. We spent time talking, sharing our thoughts and emotions, gradually rebuilding the trust that had been shaken. I thought spending more time wit

Daemon’s Point of View "I believe it would be entirely possible for that to work, but our priority is the Queen and her heirs and to you as Royal Consort, to a lesser degree. No pack law could override that directive." Adriana had asked her Captain if she and the other Royal Guards would join our pack. Charlotte had an excellent point; Adriana and our pups would be the focus of the Guards. As the Alpha of my pack, they wouldn't necessarily submit to me. Was that necessarily a bad idea? As I contemplated the situation, I realised that having the Royal Guards in our pack could be advantageous. They were highly skilled and experienced warriors, and their presence would strengthen our already formidable pack. While they might not submit to me as their Alpha, they would respect and follow my leadership, knowing our ultimate goal was to protect the Queen and her heirs. But there was another side to this decision. If the Guards joined our pack, they could also bring their own traditions a

Perry’s Point of View A Week Later Since Adriana had made me her Royal Beta, I had never been busier. The first thing I did was contact Sebastian, who was my colleague on the Council of Alphas. I hoped to persuade him to take over from me as Liaison to the Crown. Sebastian and I had been good friends for years, ever since we first met while training to become Alphas. He was a strong, determined alpha with a keen sense of justice, making him the perfect candidate to fill the role of Liaison. With permission from Alpha Daemon, I set up a lunch meeting with Sebastian at a small café in the heart of the Black Wolf Pack village. It wasn't really that small a village when I thought about it. There were paved streets with a couple of cafés, some dress and shoe stores, a grocery store, and various others, including a library. In the centre, there was even a well-kept park. As I walked into the café, I spotted Sebastian sitting at a table near the window, engrossed in a book. He looked up

Sebastian’s Point of View Adriana's smile widened, and she extended her hand towards me. "Welcome to the Royal Pack, Sebastian. Undoubtedly, you will be an invaluable intermediary between the Council and us." I took her hand, feeling a jolt of electricity surge through me. At that moment, I truly understood why Perry had chosen to follow her. Adriana possessed a charisma and aura that was impossible to resist. She was destined to lead, and I was honoured to be a part of her journey. As we released our handshake, a sense of purpose settled over me. I was ready to embrace my new role, support Adriana, and protect her pack. Was this what Perry had felt when he met her? Or was it since she had shifted to Lycan? Adriana continued, "I think the next step is to meet Daemon. He is on his way and will be here shortly. He was just discussing training logistics, combining the Royal Guard and our warriors. Considering the Royal Guards had only been formed six weeks ago and had never trained or

Daemon’s Point of View "Perhaps it's time we paid a visit to Alpha Rikard," I suggested to Sebastian. I was angry about this whole debacle and wanted to kill Rikard and his daughter. How dare they come between me and my mate! Both Rikard and his daughter Melinda were associated with the blood witch, Kree. It was entirely possible they had knowledge that could lead us straight to her. I was determined to do whatever it took to get that information. As for that fucking kitchen Omega... According to Adriana, Diana knew nothing. She was just the person who facilitated giving me the potion. I would deal with her as part of pack justice, which would involve her death. "You have not questioned them yet?" Sebastian asked. Adriana was also angry and interjected," I questioned them originally to determine what part they played in forcing Daemon to reject me, but I have not interrogated them further. I decided to let them rot in the cells for a while." At Perry's suggestion, we gathered De

Daemon’s Point of View Neither Rikard nor Melinda knew Kree's location since she no longer resided with their pack. No doubt, Kree had run as soon as she realised her plan to get Adriana had failed. It had finally dawned on them that they had outlived their usefulness. After questioning Rikard and Melinda while they were under the control of Adriana, Sebastian took a deep breath before finally addressing the prisoners. "Rikard, Melinda, you have been found guilty of betraying our pack and aiding a blood witch. Not only that, you came between fated mates, which is against the laws decreed by the Council of Alphas. Since one of the intended victims was the Lycan Queen, your actions are now considered treasonous," he announced. "The punishment for such treason is death." A momentary silence filled the room as the weight of those words hung in the air. Rikard and Melinda exchanged a glance, their stubbornness momentarily replaced by fear. Then they started screaming and yelling. As th

Adriana’s Point of View Daemon and I had spent the last two days in a whirlwind of emotions, trying to cherish every moment we had with the twins. They were the light in our lives, and we couldn't bear the thought of leaving them behind. But deep down, we knew it was the right decision. Their safety was our priority, and bringing them into the unknown dangers we were about to face would only put them at risk We were becoming no strangers to the dangers that seemed to lurk in the shadows. Despite their being Council members and warriors at the two packs we would be going to, we were still uncertain as to what would await us. After all, I had inadvertently caused the deaths of two Alphas, creating a volatile situation that would undoubtedly follow us wherever we went. Would the remaining pack members harbour resentment towards me? I had no idea what the other pack members had been told. Did they know their Alphas were breaking Council laws while attempting to subvert another pack? As

Adriana’s Point of View After being at Half-Moon Pack for a little over two weeks, I was glad to be home, even if it was for only a week before we left to go to the Red Devil Pack. Again, we would be leaving Maye to look after the twins until we were sure they wouldn't be in danger. I was not looking forward to the trip. From what Perry and Sebastian told me, it would be more complex and challenging than the Half-Moon Pack. Rikard may have been a lousy Alpha, but he didn't involve his Beta or Gamma in his plans, which simplified things. At least Half-Moon had someone who could take up the leadership mantle. The Red Devil Pack, however... We travelled to the Red Devil Pack with the same team as Half-Moon Pack. Wilson and Perry swapped vehicles this time, as Perry wanted to discuss what had happened so far. "The Council Representative on site will be Roger," said Perry. "There will be twice as many Council warriors to enforce rules there as in Half-Moon." "Is it that bad?" I asked.

Adriana’s Point of ViewThe room where Elizabeth awaited her fate was dim and unwelcoming, its sparse furnishings and plain white walls starkly contrasting with the lavish surroundings she had once commanded as Luna. Two pack warriors stood guard at the door, their expressions unreadable but their stances alert. Inside, Elizabeth sat stiffly on a plain wooden chair, her back straight and her chin raised in defiance. Her once-impeccable appearance was fraying; her outfit was wrinkled, her hair slightly out of place, but her pride remained intact. When the door opened, Duncan entered first, followed closely by Daemon and me. Duncan’s face was set in a grim mask, though a flicker of pain crossed his features as his gaze met Elizabeth’s. She didn’t flinch, but her icy blue eyes narrowed, her lips curling into the faintest sneer. While I could just as easily adjudicate the proceedings, I was happy to let Daemon take control. “Elizabeth,” Daemon began, his voice cold and authoritative, “you

Lucienne’s Point of ViewThe office was finally quiet, but the silence felt heavy, almost suffocating. The weight of everything that had just unfolded lingered in the air, pressing down on me as I sat between Marc and Cole. Their presence was steadying, but my thoughts churned with the complexities of what lay ahead.Marc’s voice broke through the stillness, soft yet insistent. “Lucienne.” His hand reached out, his touch grounding me. “We need to talk about what’s next.”I shifted my gaze to his, his piercing blue eyes steady and filled with concern. “I know,” I said, my voice firm despite the turmoil inside me. “There’s no running from it now.”Cole leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees, his body coiled with protective tension. “We’ll protect you, Lucienne. No matter what happens, no one will touch you. Not Beatrice, not Elizabeth, not anyone.”I believed him. Truly, I did. His words resonated with the conviction I had come to trust. Offering them a faint smile, I let the s

Lucienne’s Point of ViewThe tension in the room was almost unbearable as Jeremy leaned back in his chair, the altered photo now replaced with its original. He had a big smile on his face as he cast his monitor to the office TV screen. The air crackled with barely restrained anger, the collective rage of the Alphas, my parents, and Marc and Cole’s father filling the space.Marc’s jaw clenched as he glared at the unaltered image displayed on the screen. “Beatrice,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous.Cole was less composed, slamming his fist against the table. “She dared to drag Lucienne into this—to humiliate her like this?”My father, King Daemon, was simmering, his powerful presence looming as he folded his arms. “The sheer audacity. This was not only an attack on our family but also on the future Luna.”Queen Adriana, calm but no less furious, turned to Jeremy. “Post the original photo on all pack social channels. Some mother she was, but I knew she was right. “Where am I supposed to go?”Elizabeth sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as if speaking to me was an unbearable chore. “There’s a rogue named Rodney. He was an associate of your father before he… met his unfortunate end. Rodney owes me a favour. He’ll help you—for a price.”I stared at her, stunned. “You expect me to run to some rogue and beg for help?”“You don’t have a choice,” she said coldly. “Rodney can get you out of the pack’s territory and keep you hidden. I’ve stashed money in several places—enough for you to buy his silence if necessary.”Elizabeth scribbled down an address and handed it to me. “Go there. Take the money, find Rodney, and sta

Beatrice’s Point of ViewThe walls of my room felt like they were closing in. Michaela’s pacing grated on my nerves, but I couldn’t show it. Not now. I needed to stay calm, composed, and in control. Even though my heart was pounding and my palms were clammy, I refused to let her see how badly things were falling apart.“Stop pacing,” I snapped, my voice sharper this time. Michaela froze mid-step, her wild eyes locking onto mine.“Do you even realise how screwed we are?” she hissed, her hands gesturing wildly. “That tech guy—James… Jeremy or whatever his name is—he’s exposed everything, Beatrice. Everything! They know it was fake. And now they’re talking about us all over the pack! We’re finished!”I rolled my eyes, masking the unease twisting in my gut. My hands itched to wring something—anything—to release the tension coiling in my body. “They don’t know anything for certain,” I said, forcing my voice into the cool, detached tone that always worked to keep Michaela in check. “Rumours

Beatrice's Point of ViewSitting in the corner of the grand hall, I felt the familiar heat of resentment burning in my chest, twisting and coiling like a venomous serpent. The festivities for Marc and Cole's Alpha ascension were in full swing, an endless parade of opulence and celebration. Laughter echoed through the cavernous space, the clinking of glasses blending with the rustle of silken gowns and sharp suits. But amidst all the luxury and grandeur, my focus was drawn to one thing, and one thing only: her.Lucienne.What was so special about her? My jaw tightened as I watched her glide through the crowd with ridiculous grace. She wasn't even beautiful. Too tall, too muscled, too… intimidating. That wasn't what a Luna should be. A Luna should be soft, delicate, someone who brings a sense of calm—not someone who commands the room like a damn soldier. The very sight of her made my blood boil. Dressed in a gown that shimmered like moonlight, her presence was enough to draw every eye i
