Adriana’s Point of View

"So Tyler, why have you come to visit?" I asked him.

"Well, the pack elders have requested a meeting with us. Perry and Delilah said they would be there too. In case there is any trouble."

"Do they know that Daemon rejected me?" I asked, feeling deflated.

"I think they know something," he answered, "but remember that Perry will be there as the official representative of the Council of Alphas. What he says goes. Also, Mitchell will be there as well. Neither Alana nor Mitchell accepted what Daemon did. As far as they are concerned, you are still Luna, and... you are still Queen.

Tyler and I finished up our coffees, leaving the twins in Maye's capable hands. As we entered the Alpha's office, we were greeted by six older men, including Mitchell. I had met them before when Daemon introduced me to them before we had our combined mating and Luna ceremony.

"Adriana, dear," said Mitchell, greeting me.

I smiled gratefully, knowing I would have at least one of the e

Adriana’s Point of View After the meeting with the elders, I bid Tyler goodbye. We had agreed that he would look after the day-to-day responsibilities and only call me in for specific tasks that needed the Alpha. Unbeknownst to me, Daemon had set me up a while ago to be able to sign on his behalf. Later on today, the pack legal team would be coming through for me to sign the documents. Perry would be present as a witness. "So if the elders had refused for me to continue on as Luna and lead the pack, what would have happened?" I asked Tyler. "They would have been outvoted," he answered. "The Alpha's wishes outweigh everything." "But.." I started thinking back to his rejection. "But nothing," Tyler answered. "The Alpha was under blood magic and not able to make a sound decision. You are still Luna, regardless." Feeling somewhat better about my position and future in the pack, I went to the Medical Centre to sit by Daemon's bedside. "Morning, Luna," called the receptionist as I w

Adriana's Point of View Doctor Samuel and I waited anxiously at Daemon's bedside; our concern was definitely etched across Samuel's face and no doubt mine. We knew Perry and Delilah's arrival was vital, as Samuel had an idea to discuss with them. Although Daemon's blood showed that the wolf's bane had gone from his system, I was beginning to suspect that some other form of poison still lingered in his bloodstream. My mind raced, contemplating what idea Samuel had come up with. I wasn't going to ask any questions until Perry and Delilah arrived since I doubted that Samuel wanted to repeat explaining his ideas. Finally, Perry and Delilah arrived, their presence bringing me the much-needed explanation. Samuel wasted no time explaining his concerns about a lingering poison and his proposed solution. He feared that Daemon's blood remained tainted and wondered if a transfusion could combat whatever was still there. "What do his blood tests tell you?" asked Perry. "It tells me that the

Adriana's Point of View It had been a long and arduous week so far, and there had been no signs of improvement in Daemon's condition. I was exhausted. Every day I made time to visit the Medical Centre to spend at least an hour with Daemon. I preferred to spend more, but sometimes Luna and mother's duties made that problematic. I had wondered about bringing the twins here. Maybe hearing them would help. Next time I would. Doctor Samuel had been candid about the recovery process, cautioning that it could be a slow and unpredictable journey. Still, each passing day seemed to stretch endlessly, and the hope that had initially buoyed my spirits was now waning. With the thought of continuing life without my mate, I found myself spiralling down an emotional abyss, consumed by feelings of despair and uncertainty. The only thing that kept me going at the moment was spending time with the twins. They were a precious gift, a living testament to the love Daemon and I had once shared. Their in

Adriana’s Point of View After bringing the Royal Guard to the packhouse, Tyler organised their accommodations into small cottages nearby. While the guards were getting organised and having a meal, Perry discussed with Delilah how the blood oath would go ahead. Once the guards had eaten, Perry gathered them together to discuss the various administrative details. As they delved into the logistics of leadership and scheduling, I listened attentively, knowing that the safety of our packhouse relied on well-organised and efficient pack warriors; therefore, the safety of my children and myself relied on a well-organised and efficient Royal Guard. Although not part of the discussion, I listened intently. The discussions revolved around determining who would assume leadership roles and how the guards would be assigned to different shifts. Expectations and responsibilities were outlined for both the guards and myself, as I held the dual positions of Luna and Queen. It was a lot to take in a

Adriana’s Point of View The air was crisp, carrying a sense of purpose and anticipation as I walked the short journey to the pack house. It was a spectacular morning sky. The sun cast a warm glow upon the pack house grounds. My first duty of the day was to meet with Adam, Tyler and Perry. "Luna," "My Queen." "Morning, gentlemen," I greeted them, my voice steady and laced with confidence. "What do we have planned for today?" "First of all, I wish you would reconsider living in your mother's house," said Tyler. "I know you didn't want to stay here because of what happened with Daemon, but hear me out. It would be closer to the Royal Guard and the office; regardless, you are our Luna." I shook my head at Tyler, saying, " I am not ready for that yet." I wanted to cut off that conversation at the head. Until such time that Daemon was awake and able to confirm or deny his rejection, I would not be moving back to the packhouse. Adam stepped forward with his commanding presence, exud

Adriana’s Point of View It was decided. The two top warriors, Charlotte and Richard, were going to fight. Neither Adam nor I told them they were fighting for the position of Captain of the Guard; we just informed them that, as the two top warriors, we wanted to see how well they did against each other. This was also not a fight to the death, nor would they be allowed to use weapons. "Fight well," I stated before Adam rang the bell for them to start. With hushed anticipation hanging in the air, Charlotte and Richard stepped into one of the training rings we had on the training grounds, ready to engage in a battle of pure skill and physical prowess. Surrounding them were the rest of the Royal Guard and our top warriors. The afternoon sun cast its warm glow on the open field, amplifying the seriousness of the moment. No weapons adorned their bodies, emphasising that this was a contest of hand-to-hand combat, a genuine test of their unarmed combat abilities. Charlotte and Richard face

Adriana’s Point of View In the following week or so, I divided my mornings between looking after the twins, spending time at Daemon's bedside, and dealing with Luna duties. However, Tyler thankfully did much of the work. In the afternoons, I spent time learning about the monarchy and discussing the upcoming coronation with Perry, and finally, training with my guards. Life was exhausting. I diligently engaged in the training sessions with my guards, pushing ourselves to new limits. It was vital as I needed to make sure I could defend myself, especially with Kree still out there. I didn't know how many packs she had managed to turn against me, but the Council of Alphas was out there investigating. A new liaison would be coming along soon to replace Perry. As the guards and I honed our skills, Adam observed our progress discerningly, noting how remarkably the guards' skills were developing. He marvelled at their dedication and expressed his admiration for the strides they had made. Th

Daemon’s Point of View What do you mean I can't go and find Adriana now?" I yelled at Tyler. "She is my mate, and I want to see her!" "I understand your frustration," Tyler said calmly, trying to diffuse the tension. "But until we are sure that all of the blood magic controlling you is gone, there is no way you are seeing Adriana. Tyler had recounted all the events leading up to Adriana's transformation into a Lycan. Apparently, she was a beautiful Lycan. Despite the description of Adriana's newfound beauty as a Lycan, I honestly couldn't care less at this stage. My focus remained solely on trying to get to her and the worry because I couldn't mind-link her or Theo. I was desperate to reach Adriana, longing to find out if she could possibly forgive me for what that fucking bitch, Melinda, had done to us. Until we had a chance to talk, I couldn't be sure if she had accepted my forced rejection or not. The hurt she experienced when Melinda kissed me added to the anguish I felt, leavi

Adriana’s Point of ViewThe room where Elizabeth awaited her fate was dim and unwelcoming, its sparse furnishings and plain white walls starkly contrasting with the lavish surroundings she had once commanded as Luna. Two pack warriors stood guard at the door, their expressions unreadable but their stances alert. Inside, Elizabeth sat stiffly on a plain wooden chair, her back straight and her chin raised in defiance. Her once-impeccable appearance was fraying; her outfit was wrinkled, her hair slightly out of place, but her pride remained intact. When the door opened, Duncan entered first, followed closely by Daemon and me. Duncan’s face was set in a grim mask, though a flicker of pain crossed his features as his gaze met Elizabeth’s. She didn’t flinch, but her icy blue eyes narrowed, her lips curling into the faintest sneer. While I could just as easily adjudicate the proceedings, I was happy to let Daemon take control. “Elizabeth,” Daemon began, his voice cold and authoritative, “you

Lucienne’s Point of ViewThe office was finally quiet, but the silence felt heavy, almost suffocating. The weight of everything that had just unfolded lingered in the air, pressing down on me as I sat between Marc and Cole. Their presence was steadying, but my thoughts churned with the complexities of what lay ahead.Marc’s voice broke through the stillness, soft yet insistent. “Lucienne.” His hand reached out, his touch grounding me. “We need to talk about what’s next.”I shifted my gaze to his, his piercing blue eyes steady and filled with concern. “I know,” I said, my voice firm despite the turmoil inside me. “There’s no running from it now.”Cole leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees, his body coiled with protective tension. “We’ll protect you, Lucienne. No matter what happens, no one will touch you. Not Beatrice, not Elizabeth, not anyone.”I believed him. Truly, I did. His words resonated with the conviction I had come to trust. Offering them a faint smile, I let the s

Lucienne’s Point of ViewThe tension in the room was almost unbearable as Jeremy leaned back in his chair, the altered photo now replaced with its original. He had a big smile on his face as he cast his monitor to the office TV screen. The air crackled with barely restrained anger, the collective rage of the Alphas, my parents, and Marc and Cole’s father filling the space.Marc’s jaw clenched as he glared at the unaltered image displayed on the screen. “Beatrice,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous.Cole was less composed, slamming his fist against the table. “She dared to drag Lucienne into this—to humiliate her like this?”My father, King Daemon, was simmering, his powerful presence looming as he folded his arms. “The sheer audacity. This was not only an attack on our family but also on the future Luna.”Queen Adriana, calm but no less furious, turned to Jeremy. “Post the original photo on all pack social channels. Make it clear that Lucienne was the victim of this manipulation

Beatrice’s Point of ViewMy heart sank. I couldn’t believe my mother’s words. “Leave? But—”“There’s no other choice,” she snapped. “If you stay here, you’ll be locked up in the cells before sunrise. And don’t think for a second that I’ll sacrifice myself to save you.”Her words stung. Some mother she was, but I knew she was right. “Where am I supposed to go?”Elizabeth sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as if speaking to me was an unbearable chore. “There’s a rogue named Rodney. He was an associate of your father before he… met his unfortunate end. Rodney owes me a favour. He’ll help you—for a price.”I stared at her, stunned. “You expect me to run to some rogue and beg for help?”“You don’t have a choice,” she said coldly. “Rodney can get you out of the pack’s territory and keep you hidden. I’ve stashed money in several places—enough for you to buy his silence if necessary.”Elizabeth scribbled down an address and handed it to me. “Go there. Take the money, find Rodney, and sta

Beatrice’s Point of ViewThe walls of my room felt like they were closing in. Michaela’s pacing grated on my nerves, but I couldn’t show it. Not now. I needed to stay calm, composed, and in control. Even though my heart was pounding and my palms were clammy, I refused to let her see how badly things were falling apart.“Stop pacing,” I snapped, my voice sharper this time. Michaela froze mid-step, her wild eyes locking onto mine.“Do you even realise how screwed we are?” she hissed, her hands gesturing wildly. “That tech guy—James… Jeremy or whatever his name is—he’s exposed everything, Beatrice. Everything! They know it was fake. And now they’re talking about us all over the pack! We’re finished!”I rolled my eyes, masking the unease twisting in my gut. My hands itched to wring something—anything—to release the tension coiling in my body. “They don’t know anything for certain,” I said, forcing my voice into the cool, detached tone that always worked to keep Michaela in check. “Rumours

It wasn’t hard to guess where it came from.Beatrice and Michaela.Their presence alone was enough to make the atmosphere shift, the air thick with their unspoken animosity. I could almost feel their eyes on me, sharp and judgmental, like knives slicing through the crowd. Every time I moved, I could sense their gaze following me, each glance laced with disdain.Beatrice’s was the worst. Her hatred was like a quiet storm brewing just beneath the surface, held back by the thinnest veil of civility. Her eyes, dark and calculating, constantly scanned me, looking for any weakness she could exploit. Michaela’s, on the other hand, was more evident in their venom. She didn’t try to hide her disgust, the sneer on her face ever-present, her body language tense with barely contained aggression.Michaela was pred

Beatrice's Point of ViewSitting in the corner of the grand hall, I felt the familiar heat of resentment burning in my chest, twisting and coiling like a venomous serpent. The festivities for Marc and Cole's Alpha ascension were in full swing, an endless parade of opulence and celebration. Laughter echoed through the cavernous space, the clinking of glasses blending with the rustle of silken gowns and sharp suits. But amidst all the luxury and grandeur, my focus was drawn to one thing, and one thing only: her.Lucienne.What was so special about her? My jaw tightened as I watched her glide through the crowd with ridiculous grace. She wasn't even beautiful. Too tall, too muscled, too… intimidating. That wasn't what a Luna should be. A Luna should be soft, delicate, someone who brings a sense of calm—not someone who commands the room like a damn soldier. The very sight of her made my blood boil. Dressed in a gown that shimmered like moonlight, her presence was enough to draw every eye i
