Daemon's Point of View

A Month Later

I woke up in a fuzzy state. The darkness slowly dissipated, revealing blurring shapes bathed in dulled light. As I blinked away the remnants of consciousness, my surroundings began to take shape, transforming from vague silhouettes into familiar objects. I recognised I was in the Medical Centre. In the same room, Adriana had given birth to our twins. What the fuck?

"Theo!" I called my wolf. "Theo?"

There was no answer. I could sense him, so I knew he was still there, but he wasn't answering me. It was like a complete disconnect.

"Adriana?"

Again, no answer. I was starting to panic now. What the hell had happened?

"Tyler?"

"Alpha?" he answered. "Thank the Goddess, you are awake. I will be there soon."

Tyler arrived in minutes, but I felt like it needed to be sooner. He'd better have some answers as to why I was a patient in the Medical Centre and why I couldn't mind-link Adriana or my wolf. Inside I was panicking.

"What the hell happened?"

Daemon’s Point of View A few days later, I had two visitors turn up at the front gates asking for Mitchell. The guards, however, mind-linked me rather than my father. I thought it was strange, and given the last time my father overstepped the boundaries ended in Adriana taking off and getting abducted, I was slightly worried. I was glad I went down to the gate because Alpha Rikard was there, as well as his daughter, Mandy, Mary, or something like that. Who cares... "Alpha Rikard," I called, "How can I help you?" "I just wanted to talk to your father," he answered. "May I remind you that I am Alpha here, not my father, and seeking to enter my pack lands without informing me is a breach of the Council of Alpha rules. So I ask again, how can I help you?" I fumed with the audacity of it. "In that case," Alpha Rikard said sheepishly, "may I proceed to your office to discuss my reason for coming here?" I mind-linked my guard to let them both in, as well as informing Tyler, Adam and Ad

Daemon’s Point of View As I looked around the room, I could see the concern and curiosity in the eyes of my pack members. Adriana was the first to speak up, her voice steady but filled with caution. "As much as I don't trust their motives, I think we should consider helping them, Daemon," she said. "If both of our packs are under attack, it may not have anything to do with Kree. I gather you consider them allies, in which case, we need to protect any alliances and maintain a united front against rogues." Tyler nodded in agreement. "I agree with Adriana. It's in our best interest to assist them. Besides, uncovering any information about the culprits could prevent future attacks on our pack." Adam chimed in, his expression thoughtful. "I understand the hesitation, Alpha, given what happened with your father's interference before. But this could be an opportunity to prove ourselves as capable leaders and build trust with neighbouring packs. We should at least investigate and assess th

Daemon’s Point of View As everyone dispersed to their respective duties, I was alone with Adriana. I approached her, gently taking her hand in mine. "I understand your concerns, my love," I said softly, looking into her eyes. "Rest assured, I won't let anything happen to you or our pups. We will be cautious and vigilant throughout this process." Adriana nodded, a mixture of worry and trust in her gaze. "I know you'll protect us, Daemon. Just promise me that we won't let our guard down." I pulled her into an embrace, holding her close. "I promise, Adriana. You, our pups, and our pack's safety are my top priority, and I will do whatever it takes to ensure it." Adriana and I decided to take some time out of our busy day to enjoy each other's company and strengthen our bond. With the pups in the capable hands of my mother, we went up to our bedrooms to explore each other. As soon as we tumbled into the bedroom, we were kissing and touching each other frantically. The hunger we felt f

Daemon’s Point of View Conversations were kept light tonight. Neither I nor Adriana engaged in conversation with the Alpha and his daughter. They were situated at the other end of the table deliberately, so I didn't have to contend with either of them. I was so untrusting, but I wasn't alone. Unfortunately, his daughter insisted on trying to bring me into the conversation. "What do you think, Alpha Daemon?" she cooed obsequiously me. "What do I think about what?" I queried unsmilingly, as I couldn't really be bothered with this. "What do you think are the reasons for the rogue attacks?" she asked. "That is not dinner time conversation," I replied with annoyance. "No need to be rude, son," Mitchell mind-linked me. I was quick with my reply, "I don't trust them. Something is not quite right, and you taught me to listen to my hunches, remember? You always said hunches were the world's way of telling you something important. Besides, she is flirting with me in front of my mate! No

Daemon’s Point of View Knocking on Delilah's door, we waited for her to invite us in. She greeted us with a warm smile, her eyes filled with wisdom. "Daemon, Adriana, what brings you here?" Looking in, I could see that Perry and the other two witches were indeed there. Adriana and I entered. I wasted no time and explained the strange occurrences during dinner, the disconnection with Theo, and the inability to communicate with Adriana or my wolf through our mind link. Delilah listened attentively, her expression thoughtful. "Hmm, it's indeed unusual. I've encountered situations like this before, although rare. It could be the work of a powerful supernatural force or an enchantment specifically targeting your connection. I can look into it further and see if there's any relevant information in our archives." "I think we should take a blood sample," said Perry. "Wolf's bane will do that as well. We want to rule out poisoning." I nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope, "Please do, Delilah

Daemon’s Point of View In the morning, as the guests gather for breakfast in the dining room, I see that Alpha Rikard and Melinda have joined us. They had a fully stocked kitchen in their cottage, so there wasn't any real need for them to be here, yet here they were. I intentionally excluded my parents from the invitation list. I didn't want either of them getting in the way of the investigation. This reminded me that I wanted to discuss with Perry and Delilah if there was any way to record their private conversations. Despite the prior conversation, Melinda continues to flirt with me in front of Adriana. I could feel Adriana becoming increasingly angry at this. "I wonder what on earth would possess a person to flirt with a mated wolf," expressing her frustration out loud enough for Melinda to hear, "particularly in front of their mate." I could see Melinda bristling at that comment, although it looked like Alpha Rikard had no problem with what Melinda was trying to do. Adriana c

Daemon’s Point of View "I, Daemon, Alpha of the Black Wolf Pack, reject you, Adriana, of the Silver Wolf Pack as my mate and Luna." Present Time "Please tell me that everything I remember is wrong!" I cried, tears rolling down my face. I didn't care that I was an Alpha because I was utterly horrified when the realisation hit me that I had rejected Adriana, my mate and Luna, the love of my life and the mother of my pups. The weight of my mistake and the consequences of my actions weighed heavily on my heart. How could I have done such a terrible thing to the person I cherished the most? The pain and regret flooded over me, and I longed to go to Adriana immediately to apologise and beg for her forgiveness The thought of the pain I had caused her was unbearable, and I desperately wished that I could turn back time and undo my rejection. The guilt consumed me as I grappled with the consequences of my impulsive decision. I could only hope that Adriana would find it in her heart to for

Adriana’s Point of View "I, Daemon, Alpha of the Black Wolf Pack, reject you, Adriana, of the Silver Wolf Pack as my mate and Luna." This past month has been the most agonising period of my life. From the moment Daemon, the Alpha of the Black Wolf Pack, uttered those crushing words, rejection has gnawed at my heart. The pain was beyond comprehension. A Month Ago On that night, I stood tall. I refused to let that fucking despicable bitch, Melinda, witness any further weakness in me. As Daemon's rejection resounded in the air, he collapsed into a comatose state, leaving Melinda to revel in her victory. She gloated, revelling in the fact that she would now become Luna and demanded that I leave the pack. However, I was determined to hold onto something amidst the devastation—I would take the pups with me. That much, at least, I could salvage from this heartbreaking situation. Strangely enough, instead of succumbing to overwhelming despair, Melinda's words fueled an unexpected anger wi

Elizabeth’s Point of ViewThe chill in the air seeped into my bones as the guards marched me from the packhouse room to the cells. The walk wasn’t long, but it felt like an eternity—a gauntlet of humiliation hammering home how far I had fallen.Entering the pack prison, the guards’ heavy boots thudded against the cold stone floors, a steady, merciless rhythm that echoed in my ears. The frigid air wrapped around me, biting at my skin and worming its way into my core.Though I walked with my chin high and shoulders back, I couldn’t shake the heat of their gazes—guards, warriors, even pack members who had dared peek from doorways. Silent witnesses to my disgrace. Once their Luna, now reduced to this. Each step felt like dragging iron weights, yet I refused to falter. My pride was the only armor I had left. The sharp clang of the iron door jolted me from my thoughts. I didn’t resist as the guards shoved me inside, though every movement I made was deliberate and controlled. My posture rema

Adriana’s Point of ViewThe room where Elizabeth awaited her fate was dim and unwelcoming, its sparse furnishings and plain white walls starkly contrasting with the lavish surroundings she had once commanded as Luna. Two pack warriors stood guard at the door, their expressions unreadable but their stances alert. Inside, Elizabeth sat stiffly on a plain wooden chair, her back straight and her chin raised in defiance. Her once-impeccable appearance was fraying; her outfit was wrinkled, her hair slightly out of place, but her pride remained intact. When the door opened, Duncan entered first, followed closely by Daemon and me. Duncan’s face was set in a grim mask, though a flicker of pain crossed his features as his gaze met Elizabeth’s. She didn’t flinch, but her icy blue eyes narrowed, her lips curling into the faintest sneer. While I could just as easily adjudicate the proceedings, I was happy to let Daemon take control. “Elizabeth,” Daemon began, his voice cold and authoritative, “you

Lucienne’s Point of ViewThe office was finally quiet, but the silence felt heavy, almost suffocating. The weight of everything that had just unfolded lingered in the air, pressing down on me as I sat between Marc and Cole. Their presence was steadying, but my thoughts churned with the complexities of what lay ahead.Marc’s voice broke through the stillness, soft yet insistent. “Lucienne.” His hand reached out, his touch grounding me. “We need to talk about what’s next.”I shifted my gaze to his, his piercing blue eyes steady and filled with concern. “I know,” I said, my voice firm despite the turmoil inside me. “There’s no running from it now.”Cole leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees, his body coiled with protective tension. “We’ll protect you, Lucienne. No matter what happens, no one will touch you. Not Beatrice, not Elizabeth, not anyone.”I believed him. Truly, I did. His words resonated with the conviction I had come to trust. Offering them a faint smile, I let the s

Lucienne’s Point of ViewThe tension in the room was almost unbearable as Jeremy leaned back in his chair, the altered photo now replaced with its original. He had a big smile on his face as he cast his monitor to the office TV screen. The air crackled with barely restrained anger, the collective rage of the Alphas, my parents, and Marc and Cole’s father filling the space.Marc’s jaw clenched as he glared at the unaltered image displayed on the screen. “Beatrice,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous.Cole was less composed, slamming his fist against the table. “She dared to drag Lucienne into this—to humiliate her like this?”My father, King Daemon, was simmering, his powerful presence looming as he folded his arms. “The sheer audacity. This was not only an attack on our family but also on the future Luna.”Queen Adriana, calm but no less furious, turned to Jeremy. “Post the original photo on all pack social channels. Some mother she was, but I knew she was right. “Where am I supposed to go?”Elizabeth sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as if speaking to me was an unbearable chore. “There’s a rogue named Rodney. He was an associate of your father before he… met his unfortunate end. Rodney owes me a favour. He’ll help you—for a price.”I stared at her, stunned. “You expect me to run to some rogue and beg for help?”“You don’t have a choice,” she said coldly. “Rodney can get you out of the pack’s territory and keep you hidden. I’ve stashed money in several places—enough for you to buy his silence if necessary.”Elizabeth scribbled down an address and handed it to me. “Go there. Take the money, find Rodney, and sta

Beatrice’s Point of ViewThe walls of my room felt like they were closing in. Michaela’s pacing grated on my nerves, but I couldn’t show it. Not now. I needed to stay calm, composed, and in control. Even though my heart was pounding and my palms were clammy, I refused to let her see how badly things were falling apart.“Stop pacing,” I snapped, my voice sharper this time. Michaela froze mid-step, her wild eyes locking onto mine.“Do you even realise how screwed we are?” she hissed, her hands gesturing wildly. “That tech guy—James… Jeremy or whatever his name is—he’s exposed everything, Beatrice. Everything! They know it was fake. And now they’re talking about us all over the pack! We’re finished!”I rolled my eyes, masking the unease twisting in my gut. My hands itched to wring something—anything—to release the tension coiling in my body. “They don’t know anything for certain,” I said, forcing my voice into the cool, detached tone that always worked to keep Michaela in check. “Rumours

It wasn’t hard to guess where it came from.Beatrice and Michaela.Their presence alone was enough to make the atmosphere shift, the air thick with their unspoken animosity.
