Daemon's Point of View

After listening to Adriana playing the piano and discussing it with Tyler, I sat in my office contemplating my next move. What was I going to do about Adriana?

"You're going to fix this?" growled Theo.

"That is what I am trying to do, you stupid wolf," I growled back.

Theo was anxious that I fix the disaster, as he called it, with his mate.

"She's my mate, too," I reminded him.

"Then act like it," he said snarkily.

Sometimes I wished I didn't have to share my mind and body with a wolf.

When Tyler suggested taking her on a date, I initially thought about waiting until closer to the weekend. However, with Theo's grumbling, I figured I'd ask her sooner. Maybe even tonight. I grabbed the laptop to see what other restaurants were available. Taking Adriana to Luna wasn't the best course of action. It might just cause more trouble.

There was a small Italian restaurant not far from Luna, so still in the centre of town. It wasn't run by shifters, but I had been

Adriana's Point of View I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Well, I could accept the stupid Omegas thinking Tyler was sweet over me because he was the only one nice to me so far. However, for Daemon to believe that and then remind me that I was his mate, I had to act like it. I had to act like it? Considering I was told not to tell anyone, he was unbelievable. "So, I'm your mate now, am I?" I asked snarkily. "Yes, you are, and you need to act like it!" he roared. "You are my mate, not Tyler's mate." It went from bad to worse. Daemon wouldn't listen to what I was trying to say, and now... he threatened to lock me in my room because Tyler grabbed my hand in a purely friendly platonic way. I guess Alphas are highly jealous creatures, but this one was borderline stupid. What was the Moon Goddess thinking when she matched me with him? "Are you going to listen to what I have to say, or just continue to make threats?" I yelled at him. Daemon stood there menacingly with his arms cross

Daemon's Point of View "You figure it out," Adriana said as she walked out the door to my office. "I just can't take your bullshit anymore. Either decide you want me as your mate and treat me like one or get the hell out of my life and let me go." Damn it! This was not how I wanted the conversation to go with Adriana. She was incensed that I would assume something was going on with her and Tyler. If I was being honest with myself, I trusted Tyler not to move in on my mate. But what about Adriana? The ultimate question was whether I could trust her. "If we mated with her properly, we would know we could trust her," Theo mentioned. "She probably won't want to mate with us now," I replied, sending Theo into the corner of my mind with his tail between his legs. I thought about Adriana and her actions. She didn't seem anything other than genuine, yet here I had accused her of trying to seduce Tyler. As for genuine, her anger at me was for sure. Then there was the fact that not only c

Mitchell's Point of View The questions that Daemon was asking made me think about former Luna Mara. She and her daughter, Ariana, Amelia or something similar, were the only other Alphas in the pack. If Daemon was picking them up, I would have to tell him everything that went on. He was going to be annoyed that I didn't tell him sooner, not to mention that I had allowed the young girl to work outside the pack without telling him. The first thing I needed to do was go and talk to Mara. It was essential to find out if Daemon knew about her and her daughter. My actions would be based on whether he did or not. What happened the day when Mara came here was tragic. Mara thought her pack was attacked because of the rare colour of their eyes. Traditionally shifters had brown eyes like their wolves. Occasionally, they would have blue. Eyes the colour of amethysts were totally unknown, except for her pack. Many generations ago, they had cross mated with another species, meaning they were hybri

Daemon's Point of View "I want you to follow Mitchell and see if he goes straight home." I had never felt I couldn't trust my father before, but the feeling was undeniable. There was something he wasn't telling me, and I was absolutely sure it had something to do with Adriana. "He is going into the Omega's section of the village," Adam reported back. "Keep following him at a distance," I replied. "Make sure he doesn't smell or see you, but if he does, tell him that you are on patrol through the village." An hour and a half later, Adam reported back to me with everything Mitchell had done. He had gone to Adriana's old house, but no one answered the door. That was to be expected, as her mother had passed away and she was with me. What surprised me was that he knew where a spare key was and went inside. Shortly, Mitchell came out and went to the neighbour's house. Adam wasn't close enough to hear what was said, but Mitchell went straight home after that. What was he doing? Why did h

Daemon's Point of View Over the next week and a half, Adriana and I had dinner at various human-owned restaurants three times. I still didn't want to take her back to Luna until we had mated fully and I had marked her. On the other nights, I made sure she and I dined in the small dining room together. I asked Adam and Tyler to eat elsewhere for a while, so I could take the time to get to know her properly. Each and every night, Adriana let me kiss her. Each and every night, it got more and more passionate. With each moan she made, I struggled to keep my wolf under control. I could smell her arousal and see it in her eyes. Her wolf was also at the surface, and she wanted me as much as I wanted her. I just didn't want to rush anything and risk losing her. When I asked Adriana if I had whisked her away from a boyfriend, she shook her head. Although she didn't say anything, I got the impression she hadn't dated before. Adriana did say that she was often asked out by humans when she wa

Adriana's Point of View Things had been going well with Daemon lately, and it was great. He had been treating me with much more respect since the argument and was trying to mend our relationship. I felt like there might be a chance for the two of us to make this mating situation work. I really hoped it would continue like this. We had been going out on dates and getting to know each other. Every night we came home after dinner, he would ask for a kiss. Just the touch of his skin against mine felt like I would combust. I was seriously wondering if he would take it further. Just when I thought he would, he stopped. What is with that? Does he even want me? While I was playing the piano, I started feeling very strange. Suddenly I felt like the room was sweltering hot, and I needed something, but I wasn't sure what exactly I needed. Maybe it was a cold shower I needed. I went into the bathroom, turned the shower to cold, and stripped. Sitting on the shower floor, I let the water wash ov

Daemon's Point of View "Make me yours, Daemon," Adriana panted breathlessly. Those were the words I didn't even know I wanted to hear. My wolf was howling with delight inside me as I lined myself up to enter her. "Relax, Adriana. It will hurt a little, but I will take it slowly and carefully," I said, pushing in gradually. A third of the way in, I was impeded by her virginal membrane, and unfortunately, there was no way I wasn't going to hurt. I leaned forward to kiss Adriana before pushing through. She screamed into my kiss as the sharp pain hit her, and I waited for her to relax around me. After a while, I could feel Adriana relax. She was so tight around me, so any movement I made would have to be controlled, or I would lose right there and then. "It's okay now," Adriana whispered, moving her hips. I reciprocated and thrust my hips to meet hers. A rhythm was created with our bodies rolling into each other in a carnal dance. Pressure built up between us as we sought a joint re

Adriana's Point of View For two days, Daemon and I mated and marked each other multiple times during my heat. Not only had I never been intimate with a man before, I hadn't even dated. I had nothing to compare to what I had experienced with Daemon. Despite this, I could tell it was incredible. Part of me was jealous that Daemon was so good at pleasuring me. That level of skill could have only come with practice with other women. I didn't want to know how many other women he had slept with, but I wanted to know that I was the only one he would sleep with going forward. What I didn't know was how to communicate this to him. Part of me was scared that he was still going to reject me, and it scared me. Mating and marking him had affected me profoundly. I was in love with him. At least I thought I was, never having felt like this before, and it left me feeling vulnerable. "Theo and Daemon will love us," Calliope stated confidently. "I wish I felt as optimistic as you," I told her. "It

Lucienne’s Point of ViewThe office was finally quiet, but the silence felt heavy, almost suffocating. The weight of everything that had just unfolded lingered in the air, pressing down on me as I sat between Marc and Cole. Their presence was steadying, but my thoughts churned with the complexities of what lay ahead.Marc’s voice broke through the stillness, soft yet insistent. “Lucienne.” His hand reached out, his touch grounding me. “We need to talk about what’s next.”I shifted my gaze to his, his piercing blue eyes steady and filled with concern. “I know,” I said, my voice firm despite the turmoil inside me. “There’s no running from it now.”Cole leaned forward, his elbows resting on his knees, his body coiled with protective tension. “We’ll protect you, Lucienne. No matter what happens, no one will touch you. Not Beatrice, not Elizabeth, not anyone.”I believed him. Truly, I did. His words resonated with the conviction I had come to trust. Offering them a faint smile, I let the s

Lucienne’s Point of ViewThe tension in the room was almost unbearable as Jeremy leaned back in his chair, the altered photo now replaced with its original. He had a big smile on his face as he cast his monitor to the office TV screen. The air crackled with barely restrained anger, the collective rage of the Alphas, my parents, and Marc and Cole’s father filling the space.Marc’s jaw clenched as he glared at the unaltered image displayed on the screen. “Beatrice,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous.Cole was less composed, slamming his fist against the table. “She dared to drag Lucienne into this—to humiliate her like this?”My father, King Daemon, was simmering, his powerful presence looming as he folded his arms. “The sheer audacity. This was not only an attack on our family but also on the future Luna.”Queen Adriana, calm but no less furious, turned to Jeremy. “Post the original photo on all pack social channels. Make it clear that Lucienne was the victim of this manipulation

But—”“There’s no other choice,” she snapped. “If you stay here, you’ll be locked up in the cells before sunrise. And don’t think for a second that I’ll sacrifice myself to save you.”Her words stung. Some mother she was, but I knew she was right. “Where am I supposed to go?”Elizabeth sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as if speaking to me was an unbearable chore. “There’s a rogue named Rodney. He was an associate of your father before he… met his unfortunate end. Rodney owes me a favour. He’ll help you—for a price.”I stared at her, stunned. “You expect me to run to some rogue and beg for help?”“You don’t have a choice,” she said coldly. “Rodney can get you out of the pack’s territory and keep you hidden. I’ve stashed money in several places—enough for you to buy his silence if necessary.”Elizabeth scribbled down an address and handed it to me. “Go there. Take the money, find Rodney, and sta

Beatrice’s Point of ViewThe walls of my room felt like they were closing in. Michaela’s pacing grated on my nerves, but I couldn’t show it. Not now. I needed to stay calm, composed, and in control. Even though my heart was pounding and my palms were clammy, I refused to let her see how badly things were falling apart.“Stop pacing,” I snapped, my voice sharper this time. Michaela froze mid-step, her wild eyes locking onto mine.“Do you even realise how screwed we are?” she hissed, her hands gesturing wildly. “That tech guy—James… Jeremy or whatever his name is—he’s exposed everything, Beatrice. Everything! They know it was fake. And now they’re talking about us all over the pack! We’re finished!”I rolled my eyes, masking the unease twisting in my gut. My hands itched to wring something—anything—to release the tension coiling in my body. “They don’t know anything for certain,” I said, forcing my voice into the cool, detached tone that always worked to keep Michaela in check. “Rumours

Lucienne’s Point of ViewI felt their stares long before I saw them. The weight of jealousy and resentment hung heavy in the air, a palpable tension that seemed to press against my skin. It wasn’t hard to guess where it came from.Beatrice and Michaela.Their presence alone was enough to make the atmosphere shift, the air thick with their unspoken animosity. I could almost feel their eyes on me, sharp and judgmental, like knives slicing through the crowd. Every time I moved, I could sense their gaze following me, each glance laced with disdain.Beatrice’s was the worst. Her hatred was like a quiet storm brewing just beneath the surface, held back by the thinnest veil of civility. Her eyes, dark and calculating, constantly scanned me, looking for any weakness she could exploit. Michaela’s, on the other hand, was more evident in their venom. She didn’t try to hide her disgust, the sneer on her face ever-present, her body language tense with barely contained aggression.Michaela was pred

Beatrice's Point of ViewSitting in the corner of the grand hall, I felt the familiar heat of resentment burning in my chest, twisting and coiling like a venomous serpent. The festivities for Marc and Cole's Alpha ascension were in full swing, an endless parade of opulence and celebration. Laughter echoed through the cavernous space, the clinking of glasses blending with the rustle of silken gowns and sharp suits. But amidst all the luxury and grandeur, my focus was drawn to one thing, and one thing only: her.Lucienne.What was so special about her? My jaw tightened as I watched her glide through the crowd with ridiculous grace. She wasn't even beautiful. Too tall, too muscled, too… intimidating. That wasn't what a Luna should be. A Luna should be soft, delicate, someone who brings a sense of calm—not someone who commands the room like a damn soldier. The very sight of her made my blood boil. Dressed in a gown that shimmered like moonlight, her presence was enough to draw every eye i

Marc’s Point of ViewThe ceremony hadn’t even started, and already, my patience was wearing thin. Ryan and Lochlan couldn’t keep their damn eyes off Lucienne, and it was taking everything in me not to let Cassius, my Wolf, now Lycan, surge to the surface and make our position clear. It wasn’t just the way they looked at her—the subtle smirks, the lingering glances, the way they angled themselves to be closer to her. It was how they spoke to her, all charm and thinly veiled admiration.“She’s ours,” I growled through the mind-link to Cole. His jaw ticked as he responded, “Trust me, I know. But we can’t afford to lose control. Not tonight.”Cassius rumbled his discontent. He hated that we were holding back and not marking our territory more obviously. But I knew better. Tonight wasn’t about flexing power or giving in to primal instincts. Tonight was about stepping into our new roles as Alphas, showing the pack—and the visiting Alphas—precisely who we were.Still, as I glanced at Lucienn

Cole's Point of ViewThe warmth of the morning sun barely filtered through the thick canopy of trees surrounding the packhouse as I stepped out onto the balcony, my muscles still humming with residual energy. Last night's run through the forest with Marc and Lucienne had been like nothing I'd ever experienced. Completing the mate bond with Lucienne had already left me feeling whole in a way I couldn't describe, but shifting into my Lycan form? That was something else entirely.I leaned against the railing, staring out over the clearing. Every part of me felt sharper now—my senses heightened, my body stronger, and my instincts more primal. I'd heard stories about Lycans, of course—their strength, agility, the uncompromising dominance they commanded. But no story could've prepared me for what it actually felt like.I heard footsteps behind me, pulling me from my thoughts. I turned to see Marc coming through the French doors. He stepped out onto the balcony, already dressed and looking a

Lucienne's Point of ViewAs we collapsed onto the bed, tangled in each other's arms, I felt the bond between us thrumming with an intensity that was both exhilarating and terrifying. Their touch had ignited something primal within me, but the deep connection of our souls—woven together by the Goddess herself—left me trembling. The sensation was overwhelming, as though my heart, mind, and essence had been fused with theirs.Marc shifted to lie on his side, his arm draped lazily over me, while Cole reclined against the headboard, his chest rising and falling heavily. None of us spoke; words felt unnecessary after such intimacy. But soon, a strange tension rippled through the air.Marc's hand, warm against my skin just moments ago, clenched suddenly. He groaned, his body tensing as his brow furrowed in discomfort. Cole's jaw tightened, and his breathing became shallow as he rubbed at his arms like they were aflame."What's wrong?" I asked, propping myself up on one elbow, worry coursing
