I'm finally free

It was a three-hour drive to his house, and the weather became more refulgent, showing it was a day off.

The driver stopped his car as he got closer to his side.

"I guess if I drop you here, you can find a way to your house." He said to him softly.

Bryan smiled. The joy he felt from sensing home again was all over the place, and he couldn't believe he could feel the airy breeze from outside—something he hadn't felt since he was locked in that Rubbies building—and that finally he was back home. He couldn't stop beaming. He couldn't wait to see his father, have him, and tell him how much he had missed him. Finally, his nightmare is all over.

"It’s all because of you; I’m back home after a long time of being away. Please come with me to my house. Let me introduce you to my father." He sounds so frail, and he was so grateful to the driver.

"No, don’t worry. I offer to help. Take care of yourself, and don't go out that late. Do you know it's dangerous out there?" the driver said, making Bryan smile. He couldn't imagine himself in his normal self coming outside that late, and he can't tell him the reason why he got to see him by that time, but all the same, he knew that he owed the driver a lot for savoring him.

The driver winked at his face as he turned his steering wheel and drove off. Bryan trekked down the streets excitedly, leading to the house.

Henry received a call from Jack saying that Bryan was nowhere to be found. He had ransacked the entire building but couldn’t find him.

"Where could Bryan be?" Henry questions himself after hanging up the phone. Duke prompts his mouth open, staring at him, wondering what he means by that.

what happened?" He managed to ask him.

"Bryan managed to break free," he said in a low, strained voice.

"How can Bryan manage to break free from the hefty gang around him?" Duke shakes his head vigorously.

"Even I can’t believe that Brayan can muster such courage, "Henry said. They heard a bump at the door.

"Please open the door. They are after me." They heard a voice that sounded familiar to them.

"That voice sounds like Brayan's, "Henry said.

"I guess he is frightened, "Henry said as he went straight to the door and shoved it open. He shoved the door open immediately, and Bryan rushed inside, shriveling in terror.

"Who is after you, Bryan?" Duke asked him as he quietly closed the door behind him.

"It's a good thing to be home again. I miss you guys so much. I stay in the dark and in terror, "he said as he hugged them. While his eyes were brimming with so many tears,

"I'm home at last." The tears that were brimming in his eyes slid down to his cheek.

"Where have you been? Your disappearance caused a great problem for us." Duke glumly said that even though Brayan doesn’t understand the problem he was talking about, he was pleasantly happy to be home again.

"You got us all worried; why didn’t you consider us when you left the house without telling us where you were heading?" Henry said he looks sulfry and unkempt, but they didn’t bother to ask him what had happened to him and his busy braid and hair; it’s unlike Brayan.

"I was kidnapped." His voice sounded so frail that he was tired, while tears dripped from his eyes.

"Kidnapped?" They both echoed together as they raised their eyes in shock. But Henry still thought it was crap for him to say that he was kidnapped.

"This is Codswallop, who will have the thought of kidnapping you, brainy of all people, Duke asks out of annoyance.

"I had thought of that, but I’m not suspecting anyone will have me kidnapped." Brayan's voice was so frail that he slumped himself in the chair.

He felt his stomach growl. He is hungry, and he looks so cadaverous.

"  hungry. Can I have something? "he" said as he yawned. Almost immediately, he looked around but couldn’t glimpse Nanny Kate. He was surprised; it's unlike her, who heard his voice but wasn't excited to see him.

"Where’s nanny?" He asked no one in particular. "Brainy! Nanny is no longer staying with us; she left for her hometown, Duke replied, making him glum as his stomach growled more.

Henry went inside the kitchen and brought the well-garnished Jollof rice they had just prepared with him to the sitting room.

"Here, Brainy, eat to the brim," he said, dropping the plate of food at the table by his side.

Without so much hesitation, Brayan took the food and chomped like a lion that was devouring Lesh.

"I have missed food as yummy as this, "he said at last. After chomping the food, he regained his composure after taking some chilled water.

"Bryan, what to you, and where have you been since' Henry managed to ask him, pretending not to know what happened to him.

Bryan didn't want to talk about what happened; it sent a shudder down his spine, but they keep firing him with questions. There is no reason he should bottle it up.

"I was abducted by this scary and hefty gang. I doubt if I have seen such people before. They were so scary enough to make me shriver with fear." He stopped, seeing how they stared at him surprisefully. Henry laughed at hearing how he was discribing them, but he didn't understand how he managed to break free. He was so curious to know everything.

"If they are this hefty, how did you manage to escape? I guess they weren't that monsterous you described them to be." He was still curious.

"Have you forgotten Mr. Smart?" he said, pointing at himself. They hail him. "Mr. Brainy," he smiled at them as he continued, "I can do anything." They chuckled at what he said. He guesses after telling them that they will not ask him any more questions; he doesn't want such an incident to keep occurring in his memory. It is such a nightmare. His gaze fell at the clock, and he noticed their father wasn't home by that time.

"What of Daddy?" He asked them with so much excitement; his eyes had grown so much from waiting for him. The two brothers gave each other their gazes, regretting telling him what happened in his absence.

"Bryan...........da.....d...i...s," Duke spluttered.

"Brainy, you need to rest. You don't need this right now." Henry chipped in, but then Brian was confused. He didn't grab what they were saying; something fishy happened in his absence, even though his mind wasn't prepared for bad news. But then he wanted to know everything now.

"What happened to dad?" Maybe something happened to their father. He hoped it was all a lie. "Can someone tell me what's going on here?" He raised his voice without meaning to

Since you insisted on knowing, it really saddened me to break this ugly news to you: " He paused and worried his lips, making him more anxious.

"We lost dad, Brainy, he howled as Duke joined him. On hearing this, Bryan broke down and collapsed in tears. "It can't be, "he quivered and he was racked with so much  tears and wondered how life would be without his father By himself.
