"You know what the wolves did for us. They taught us how to hide. How to control ourselves. Turning our back on them would be like signing all their death certificates." I watched as my mate stood up to his father with ice dripping into his voice.
"They'll be fine." His father spat in a dismissive tone and Ace scoffed.
"You always said fight for what I believe in, and I believe in this. So with or without you I'm going to help them." Ace snarled and I shuffled my feet.
His father was quiet for some time before he sighed.
"You're right... So how are we going to do this?" His father said giving us both a look.
"Easy. Go to Clayton's and Katlyn's pack house. I'm sure they'll have one somewhere." I said speaking up.
"Do you know we're they are?" My mate asked giving me a long look. I closed my eyes and concentrated. Every vampire had a special power, mine was the sight. Ace's was teleportation. His father's was manipulation.
I let my mind's eye travel to the two wolves and I gasped.
"What is it? What do you see?" Ace's voice cut in and I opened my eyes.
"I know where they are. They're not alone, they have more with them." I said and Ace nodded slowly. His father hurried away before returning with two gallon jugs full of red liquid.
"Well if we're going to go we've got to have something." He said when Ace and I gave him a look. I giggled and connected my mind to Ace's showing him what I saw.
"Can you teleport us?" I asked and he nodded. I looked at the gallons.
"Are you sure we need that much?" I asked.
His father gave me a long look and said, "We're going to be around a lot of people Harp, better safe than sorry." He shrugged and I nodded.
"Well it's all up to you babe." I said nudging Ace and he gave me a smirk before wrapping an arm around my waist. He held his hand out to his father and grabbed his arm.
"Here we go." Ace said and we where whisked away.
I decided to give the story another twist.
How do you like it?
Guys I can't express how grateful I am for your support and reading of my story.
Check out my book 'Blackbane' as well if you're liking this one.
Thank you!
I sat in the living room. Everything had gone pretty well. My hands tingled softly as I sat there on the couch. Outside I could hear murmurs of the many wolves socializing between one another. Suddenly a yell rang out and I hopped to my feet in urgency.
"What's wrong?" I called outside as I made my way to the door but everyone looked around in confusion.
"Someone was here but..." I person said and suddenly I felt a whoosh beside me and I gasped as three people appeared beside me. One was a female with dark hair and glowing eyes. A man stood beside her with glowing eyes and I soft look to his rather intimidating figure. An older man was beside them holding jugs of red liquid. I tensed as I smelled blood and the girl gave me a look whereas the man gave me a fanged grin.
"Vampires." I gasped and the wolves around us went into a frenzy.
"Not possible. They're extinct." Someone howled.
"Just because you cant see air doesn't mean its not there." The older man said and the younger one chuckled before offering a hand to me.
"We're here to help." he said as I hesitantly shook his hand. The girl, I'm assuming his mate, gave me a nod and shook my hand as well. Clayton came outside to stand beside me as well as the other alphas and lunas.
"We're going to help you since wolves helped us. One of your kind taught us long ago how to control our forms... wolves saved us, so its only right we help you as well." The young man said and dipped his head to us.
"Thank you." Clayton said as he looked at the vampires in mild shock. They nodded and looked around.
"So... where should I put the blood?" The older man said and everyone looked at each other.
Sorry it's short guys but I honestly couldn't think of anything.
We'd got the whole vampire thing situated and they were given rooms along with the rest of the new-coming werewolves. Clayton had retreated to our room and when I came to see him he was discussing something over the phone. Other packs wanted to join our coalition. Now he just growled and paced.
I checked the time and sighed.
"Clayton it's three in the morning. Get some sleep." I sighed past a yawn. I'd just woken up from my hours long slumber and came to see why he still wasn't in bed.
"Katy even if we do fight... what will be the cost?" Clayton suddenly said as he abruptly stopped pacing. He turned to me and frowned slightly. I met his gaze and sighed.
"Clay there's bound to be some casualties." I said softly and he frowned.
"But they know our weaknesses Kate. They have tanks and machine guns. We have claws and fangs. Sure we can get our hands on some artillery but we need a solid plan if this is going to work." My mate sighed and I walked over to him. I slid my hands up his arms and gently rubbed his shoulders.
"I know but you need rest Clay... come to bed okay?" I pleaded softly as I looked into his eyes, studying his face. It had begun to darken under his eyes and unkept stubble littered his jaw. He looked so tired.
"Katlyn..." he began but my growl silenced him.
"Clayton. Bed. Now." I ordered and he raised his eyebrows but didn't object when I dragged him to bed. He flopped onto the mattress and sighed.
"Sleep." I said and started for the door. I needed a drink.
"Stay." Clayton groaned from the bed and I looked over and locked with his pleading eyes.
"Clay-" I started.
"I said stay!" He suddenly snarled and I backed away in shock. His eyes turned red but he blinked it away and gave me an apologetic look.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to snap at you." He sighed and said, "I don't know what happened I just feel so protective and... I can't explain it. Baby I'm sorry if I scared you." He said with a look of self loathing and I made my way toward him.
"I just wanted some Dr. Pepper milk." I said softly and he scowled.
"What?" He asked with a dubious expression and I held back a laugh.
"It's where you get some ice in a cup, then pour in your milk and add some Dr. Pepper..." I said softly.
"And you drink it?" Clayton said sounding uncertain. I looked at him and smiled."Don't be preposterous, of course not, you use it as shampoo... Yes you drink it!" I said and he made a face of disgust."That's gross Katy." He said and I frowned as he sat up a bit as I made it to the bedside."It's actually not too bad." I said enjoying his horrified look. He sat up fully and shook his head."Come on then I'll prove it." I said grabbing his hand and pulling him out of the room.We stopped in the kitchen and I didn't hesitate in pulling out some milk from one of the fridges. I put the jug on the counter and went in and pulled out a cold Dr. Pepper. I shut the door and turned back to Clayton with a grin.I set the can by the milk and smiled as Clayton handed me two glass cups."So you're trying it?" I asked and he let out a small laugh."Did I have a choice?" He countered raising an eyebrow."No." I said with a smirk and put some ice in our cups. Clayton scoffed as I poured milk over the
"She's what?" Clayton said and looked at me in surprise. I was frozen in shock."Pregnant?" I breathed."Yes." Alex said and I almost collapsed. I was pregnant?Yes we're having a pup! Storm's voice echoed in my head and I felt sudden joy swarm through me. I felt myself frown.I'd always wanted to be a mom, but was I ready?"Katy?" Clayton's voice said and I looked over at him. His eyes shown with emotion and he locked eyes with mine. I smiled nervously and he rushed to me as Alex stepped away."I'm gonna be a dad?" He asked in my ear and I wrapped my arms around him and nodded my head. A smile broke out on his face."I'm gonna be a dad!" Clayton yelled and grabbed me twirling me around.Congratulations started being said and people started clapping when a rough voice spoke."You got my daughter pregnant?" My father asked harshly and I pulled away from Clayton and looked at my dad. He glared at my mate. My mother stood beside him with wide eyes. Clayton met his eyes coolly."Yes." Cla
The man's tongue slipped into my mouth and no matter how much I wanted to pull away I couldn't bring myself to do so. He groaned and pulled the ropes from my hands and instead of pushing him away I pulled him closer. He unbound my feet and instead of running or kicking I flung my legs around his body. He gave an approving grunt."Err... boss?" A voice said and for a second the man pulled away."Out." He ordered and I heard the opening and closing of a door. Then his lips met mine again and his hands gripped my butt before laying me down under him on the cold ground. I couldn't think straight. I wanted this man, but at the same time I desperately wanted Clayton. Clayton. Where was he?"Where's Clayton?" I said and the man growled. He locked his dark eyes on mine."Back at his home. Probably forgetting about you." He said with a sad look. I blinked feeling pain pierce my heart."He wouldn't forget about me. He's going to find me... he loves me." I said. The stranger just shook his head.
"You're still caught on that mongrel?" He said sounding exasperated."That mongrel is my mate and father of my child." I hissed and the man growled."Oh yes, I'd almost forgotten... Do you know what a male lion does when it conquers a pride?" He asked and smiled letting go of my hand."No." I sighed scowling at him.A glint formed in his eyes. He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear and I was once again comforted."He gets rid of all the original male's offspring so the females will realize who's in charge." The man said nonchalantly and left the room before his words kicked in.He was after my baby.Drew's P. O. V.I gulped as Clayton rushed through the rooms. Claw marks ran along part of the wall. His eyes glowed red. Everyone had retreated outside and I mean everyone. An angry alpha is not one to be around... but one who can't locate his mate? Even worse."Where is she?! Katlyn!" He howled. A note lay crumpled in my hand.Who will protect mommy and baby? It read. It'd been hours.
"He didn't kill anyone." I said in relief. The man nodded slowly."Yes but he frightened many. Remember fear is the best weapon and your worst enemy." The man cooed and I wrinkled my nose. He smirked and kissed my nose before I pulled away. He smiled at my frown and brushed some hair away from my face... well attempted to before I grabbed his wrist. I stared at him. He had high cheekbones, a perfect jawline, nicely shaped eyes, pouty pink lips... I had to admit he was quite attractive but this was getting old."Don't touch me." I growled. He sighed and his other hand grabbed my waist and he pulled me against him. I gasped at the sparks and he chuckled."Remember darling, what I can make you feel. Taunting me won't do you any good. It just makes me want to ravish you on this floor. I'd be somewhat gentle." He said slipping his hands down my body, picked me up by my thighs and had my legs flinging around his waist. He groaned as our bodies collided and huffed, "Maybe ravishing you isn't
"I wish I knew." Drew said bowing his head and Convel threw his head back.Lexi whined and held onto Mike. My cousin groaned and kissed her forehead softly as he hugged her to him.Convel howled a roaring cry. The noise was such a sound everyone stopped to listen. It was full of rage, anguish, and just a smudge of hope. His howl was long and seemed to make one remember everything done wrong to them in their life as well as every sweet memory. "Emillia." She said and I finished, "Thank you Emillia." She looked at me and smiled softly."I'm really sorry about all this, people are just fearful of Droen. I'll try my best to get you out Katlyn." Emillia said softly and before I could say anything the door opened.A tired looking Dominic walked in and shut the door, before he spoke Emillia beat him to it, "I told her Dominic. No need to be hostile." Immediately Dominic relaxed and an actual smile came to his face."Thank you Em. Look Katlyn I am really sorry about my behavior... I never wanted to hurt you." He said looking down at his feet. I nodded slowly and Kaden gurgled. Dominic looked up and smiled at him. He took a cautious step toward me."Can I hold him?" He asked and I nodded softly and he strolled over to the bedside. He held out his hands and took him from me gently. Dominic smiled and held him to his chest."What's his name?" He asked staring at him with a small smile."Kaden." I said softly and Dominic smiled wider.
Well that's got to be about the saddest thing I've ever written.Yes Dominic was a good guy. Shocker, I know.Poor Kaden... I'm crying. How will Clayton/Convel react?***"It doesn't always work out, sometimes someone has to be put 'in check' as some would say."~ Anonymous Lexi's P. O. V.Convel prowled around the house. Literally around the house. He'd made a trail in the grass from his constant walking. My heart throbbed for him. It'd been months...The moon hung in the sky. My eyes trailed the large mass of wolves. It was fairly peaceful. I smiled as I saw Harper and her mate drinking some blood and pups watched them with shocked gaping mouths. Her mate's father sat beside them telling something to the pups that made them gasp and grimace before trotting off to play.Mike sat beside me by the fire. His arm was wrapped around my shoulders. The light of the flames danced against his red-brown hair and twinkled in his amber eyes. He was so cute. I leaned against him and he sighed
