Sacrifice your Love

Anastasia was bewildered when Alexander placed his lips on her forehead. She pushed him away and wiped the skin where Alexander had kissed her. “Are you nuts? I told you not to kiss me,” Anastasia yelled at him. Alexander was enjoying how Anastasia got furious just with a kiss. 

Anastasia was baffled to see Alexander who was smiling. This infuriated her more. She motioned her hand towards him but he caught it in the middle and pulled her towards him. “I did not do anything wrong. Just a peck because I wanted to,” Alexander proclaimed, giving a sly smile to her.

Anastasia was out of words. Since it was early morning, she did not want to ruin her mood. She turned and sat on the chair in front of the dressing table. ‘I won’t talk to him. How dare he do that? I told him that it’s a marriage of benefit which will end as soon as I will be selected as the leader  for the company,’ Anastasia talked herself. 

Alexander went towards the couch and sat on that, wanted his wife to get ready first. He closed his eyes and rested his head on the couch. Anastasia glared at him for a few seconds before averting her gaze from him. She brushed her hair and then checked the other suitcase of handbags. Picking one handbag, she put her phone inside that. After that she picked a pair of sandals for her with the dress and walked out from there. 

Alexander found Anastasia was engaged at him. He looked at himself in the mirror, checked his hair and walked behind Anastasia. Outside the house, Alexander saw Anastasia was waiting for him. A white car was already there which was sent by Anastasia’s father to pick them up.

“We need to lock the house,” Alexander said. 

“The House butler is here. Get into the car,” Anastasia told him. The driver of the car opened the backseat door for him and she got inside, followed by Alexander. The drive drove away the car from there. Anastasia was busy with her phone, ignoring Alexander every time he tried talking to her. 

‘Try getting touching me without my permission and I will ignore you till my last breath’ Anastasia thought in her mind. 

The car was halted in front of the Spanos Mansion. The driver opened the door for them and the two came out of the car. The two then walked inside the mansion where everyone was waiting for them. 

Lucas was impatiently waiting for her daughter to come there and could be seen pacing in the living hall. “Lucas, sit down. Ana is going to arrive soon,” Icarus stated but Lucas did not listen to him. Sofia told her husband not to say anything. 

The house butler, Adrian came there, informing them about the arrival of Anastasia and Alexander. Lucas was delighted to hear about that. In a few seconds, Anastasia and Alexander showed up in the living room. 

They greeted the elders. Lucas went to Anastasia and hugged her. “Are you okay?” Lucas asked his daughter. 

“Yes, father,” Anastasia replied. Lucas then looked at Alexander and embraced him too. Patting his back he welcomed him to home. 

“Have a seat,” Sebastian told them. Anastasia looked at Alexander and the two sat on a couch there. 

Cassandra, the wife of second son of Sebastian, George Spanos, has a displeasing look on her face. “Why his clothes are looking so old?” Cassandra whispered in the ear of her husband who told him keep quiet. 

The water was given to them. Alexander thanked the maid and drank the water. “Whoa! This water tastes is quite different from the normal water we drink,” Alexander said. Anastasia looked at him when a voice was heard by her which was of Anastasia’s cousin brother, Jason Spanos, son of George and Catherine. 

“It’s the most expensive water that’s only affordable by the 1% people of Greece. It’s just a normal water for us. But we can understand that it’s quite new for you,” Jason pronounced. 

“Ana, you surprise everyone here by marrying a penniless… forgive me, my tongue slipped… I mean our sister surprised us by marrying a person who is the grandson of the best friend of grandpa,” Nicholas stated.  

The smile from Alexander’s face disappeared upon hearing that which Anastasia noticed. 

“Nicholas, where are your manners? Apologize from our son-in-law,” Sebastian menacingly said. Sofia looked at Icarus, gesturing him to stop his father. 

“It’s fine, grandpa. I don’t need the apologies of Elder Brother of Ana,” Alexander stated. “It is true that I’ve gotten no fortune like the Spanos’ brothers. Even I could not get a good job,” Alexander asserted. 

Anastasia snickered upon hearing this response of Alexander. 

“Let’s have a breakfast, first. Then we will talk about the other things,” Sebastian stated and stood up from the couch. Lyra, Sebastian’s wife, also stood up and they all went towards the dining room. 

Once they had taken the seats, the breakfast was served to them. Alexander was surprised to see such kind of breakfast. “So, this is the breakfast of the rich people!” Alexander remarked. 

Sofia and Cassandra made faces seeing the reactions of Alexander. 

“Ana, last night when I cooked for us, I don’t think that it matched the level of food you had here before marriage,” Alexander stated. 

“So, you know cooking? My little sister Ana does not know cooking. It’s good that she got a caring husband like you,” proclaimed Nicholas and looked at her. 

“You all can talk later. Finish your breakfast first,” Lyra pronounced. Everyone got silent and quietly finished their breakfast. Once they finished, Sebastian told Alexander and Lucas to follow him while Anastasia was taken by her cousin brothers. 

They were in the common room when Nicholas handed a gift box to Anastasia. “I could not give you anything on your marriage. I cannot deny the fact that you are my younger sister so, keep this,” Nicholas proclaimed. 

Anastasia thanked him as she was grabbed the gift box. She opened that and saw a key. “You wanted this car so, I decided to gift you. These are one 10 in the world and now you also own it,” Nicholas stated as he took the seat on the sofa chair. Anastasia thanked him and put the box aside. 

“I will gift you soon. Since you married in such a haphazard way so I could not be able to prepare the gift for you,” Jason told Anastasia. 

“Thank you for thinking about me. So, why did we gather here?” Anastasia queried. 

“For having some conversation with each other,” Nicholas replied. “We met your boyfriend yesterday. He had created a ruckus in your marriage but we controlled it,” Nicholas added.

Anastasia’s eyes turned misty upon hearing that. “For company you should not have to sacrifice your love. You might regret it later,” Nicholas proclaimed.
