Chapter 4: My Second Chance Mate

Vince’s POV

I saw the face of almost every she-wolf present in the ceremony. But I didn’t have the courage to Ask any of them to act like my fake girlfriend or lover. The whole thing looked adequate, but when the time came to execute the same, I started acting up. I left the ceremony after serving food to all the Alpha Female and Beta Female. Some were good, but I hate their attitude.

So I decided to distance myself from the premises. “What are you doing here?” I heard Hailey’s voice when she found me alone, far away from the Place where the ceremony was held.

“Hailey. I don’t think I should go with all the things you explained. How about If I  attend the Luna Ceremony And sulk in pain?” I murmured while deep down I was in pain with this idea. 

“And why is that?” She narrowed her eyes. 

“I can’t do this, Hailey...I can’t. I'm bad at acting,”I answered. “I don’t dare to ask any she-wolf to  Pretend to be my fake girlfriend or lover. But I also can't deny the fact that I’m desperate to find one.”

“Why don’t you ask the girl standing behind you?” Hailey said, making my eyes popped out of The socket with a thought that someone is listening to a conversation. 

Does God know what She would think about me? I turned around. The she-wolf about whom Hailey mentioned was right beside me, looking so stunned at my face. She looks so beautiful. She looks more than beautiful. I can’t even think of an adjective to describe her Beauty. She flashed me a brilliant smile that made my world turn upside down and every nerve in my body tingle.

“Ummm…” I prepared myself to ask. 

“Can you pretend to be my fake girlfriend, Miss….?” I asked, mustering all the confidence I could manage and hoping to Moon goddess that my voice didn’t sound squeaky. 

I knew she was an Omega for sure because I didn’t find her sitting in the chairs where Alpha females and Beta Females were seated. But I also knew that she was the most beautiful girl I had ever met.

“Crystal. Crystal Knight." She replied with a slight smile.

“Crystal.” Her name slipped from my mouth accidentally, and I saw her eye color changeda bit as if her wolf had come on the surface. “So, will you be my fake girlfriend, Crystal?” I waited for her answer, but it seemed like she was in deep thought. 

I saw Hailey leaving, giving us privacy. 

“I will pay you. And I'm sure that after that amount, you don’t have to work as an Omega for at least a few years.”

She chuckled and smiled. Awww! She looked so beautiful while smiling.

“I don’t think you can afford me, Handsome.” She said in a soft tone.

“Everything and everybody has a price. I mean, I am not insulting you in any way.” I said, refusing to back down. I don’t look that bad that even an Omega could easily reject me; who am I?

“True. Everything and everybody has a price, but I am not trading equipment, neither am equipment that needs to be traded.”

“I’m Alpha Damien’s Son. So, I have lots of money. I promise I will pay really good. You just have to act for one week, And all you have to do is that you have to work like an Alpha’s daughter, confident and strong. I will buy you costly clothes and shoes and everything you need.” 

She raised a brow. “You are desperate, aren’t you?” I took a deep breath and stared back at her. But I didn’t say another word.

“Why all thing?” She asked softly.

“You wouldn’t believe it if I told you.” I said to her.

“Try me,” She illustrated with a wink.

“It’s a long story,” I announced.

“I‘m here until the ceremony ends. If I find your reason really genuinely then I will help you for sure.”

I sighed. “Okay, where do I start?”

“From the top?” She winked. And she flashed me that gorgeous smile.

“Okay. I‘m Alpha Damein’s Eldest son among all three. Technically, I had to become Alpha of this pack but I don’t know why I‘m not able to shift until now. I mean, I am 23 years old now. Until the day before yesterday, I had everything in my life, a loving mate I was in love with...the dream of becoming Alpha. My life was perfect, even though I had no wolf,” I continued.

“But the day before yesterday’s night, my father He announced that he would pass the Alpha title to Andrew, my younger brother, and notified me as an Omega. And then I found my mate sleeping with my own brother. Instead of feeling guilty, she Rejected me. And this was not the end; she spread the news that I was the one who rejected her. Everyone already believed her fake story without giving me a chance to justify myself. To cut a long story short, my world fell apart.” Again, I reminded myself about how sad my life was.

“I was at the lowest phase of my life. And then yesterday, Hailey informed me that my father had held the Luna Ceremony just a week after Andrew’s Alpha ceremony and commanded me to attend this ceremony and watch everything with my own eyes To make things worse, I have to keep a straight, brave face in front of my family and pack members. I‘m going to attend that ceremony.”

Crystal had a severe look on her face. She didn’t say anything, but I knew she understood how I 

felt. I took another deep breath.

“I already start to dislike your father,” She hissed. “So, you want a fake girlfriend just to make your ex-Mate jealous?” She asked.

 I’m not sure, but she felt hurt while reciting that; but Why will she?

“Hell, No.” I shook my head. “I don’t want her back. I want to show them that I have someone much better than Rachel, whom I love so much, and can’t keep my hand off her. I want to show Rachel that what she has lost.” I terminated my sad story and looked at her. 

I saw that her expression was soft, and something else was there which I couldn’t figure out.

“Do you think I am capable of making your ex-mate feel that I’m way better than her?” She inquired softly.

I grinned when I realized that she was saying yes indirectly. “Needless to say, you are a thousand times sexy and beautiful than she is.” She chuckled at my comment. 

“Now, listen to my first plan; I'm sure that you would have come here with some of Alpha’s daughters for sure. And generally, all the Alpha Female is friendly with her Omega. You have to talk with her and swap the role with her for just a week, you will have to act like an Alpha Female, and that Alpha female will have to work like an Omega.”

“Okay!”

“And in case your Alpha Female won’t agree, then I will make the Alpha Female of an unknown place, Just like Jennie made Aladdin a prince for Jasmine. In the same way, I will make you the Alpha Female, and no one will come to know about it.” I explained.

“First option is fine with me.”, She said calmly. 

I looked at her and somehow her expression was 

warm and genuine. It seemed that my story moved her, and she was helping me out to help me out. I‘m not expecting my second chance, mate, till soon, but the moon goddess is planning to bless me with a second chance, then I want someone like her in my life.
