Chapter 9

"Hey, Do you think they are married?" I leaned towards Helen and whispered.

She turns and glanced at me helplessly, "Miss, We came here together so how am I supposed to know something like this"

Rolling my eyes I still looked at the side, "I thought you know everything about him, so you should know if he is married or not"

"Layla Erlod!" Hearing my name all of a sudden, I jerked up and looked around trying to find who called me.

"Miss, I think it's time for us to go in" Helen held until me and walked towards Alpha King Santiago.

Before I knew what was happening, I was already standing in front of the other lady.

"You called me?" I glanced at Santiago and asked.

"Let's go" He says his two words again while I can't help but glance at the other lady, and then it turns out that she is also staring at me.

"And who are you?" With arms around her chest and her chin up, she stares down at me with disgust and disdain.

Chuckling slightly, I look up at her not wanting to be weakened at all, "Do I have an obligation to introduce myself?" I asked her with my chin up and my hand pulling softly at my hair carelessly.

"Your Royal Highness, Won't you like to introduce your guest to me?" I watch as she peels her eyes away from me and asked Santiago who seems like he doesn't want to get involved in our little tantrum.

"It has nothing to do with you" He replies her and then turns to me, " let's go" He walked out without looking back whike I smile sweetly at the lady and followed right behind him immediately.

I followed him and Beta Erdogan, while holding Helen... "Miss The Castle is so Beautiful, I never knew a place like this existed in real life" She leaned on me and whispered with excitement.

"Then let's have a good life and don't let anybody bully us ok?" I pat her hand but my mind can't help but think of the lady I saw today.

Could it really be that he is married and right now, I am a third party in someone else's marriage.

Entering the castle, Santiago and Erdogan stopped on their steps as I and Amelia did so too.

"Why did they suddenly stop?" I muttered to no one in particular still holding Helen.

"Please come with us" A voice sounded beside me as I raised my head to look at the side as it turned out to be Helen they were talking to.

"Why will she go with you?" I held unto Helen tightly without letting go, she is my only mental support her.

If something happens to her, then I don't know if I will be here alone.

But Instead of replying to me, they dragged Helen, "Miss!" She screamed my name her eyes full of desperation.

"What's going on?! Where are you guys talking her to?!" I turned around as I asked both the people in uniform and also Alpha Santiago, at the sake time I held unto Helen tight without letting go

"You don't have to worry about her safety" An Elderly woman came to the front and bowed slightly, "She is safe here" She repeated and with a wave of hand Helen was dragged away.

I turned my eyes to Alpha Santiago who was already leaving, "Where are you going to?! You should at least explain to me where she is going to" Standing in front of him I swallowed slightly as I could feel my body still trembling from what happened earlier today.

Who knows if he is going to eat people,

"I don't eat people" He suddenly raised his eyes and looked at me.

"This is His Royal Majesty's private property and apart from this floor, The maids who are not authorized are not allowed to come up. Until your maid finishes the training, she is not allowed to come here and serve you" Beta Erdogan explained to me.

"Will she really be ok?" I asked.

"The Maids here are all well trained, and nothing will happen to her" He assured me as I felt a little bit relieved.

Following him we went all the way up to the last floor, I don't know where they are going but all I know at this moment is that, I just have to follow him.

It wasn't until we entered into a room that seems like a study room did we stop, looking around I can't help help but feel that the books that are here are all all centuries old.

Maybe if I have the opportunity in the future, I will come over and read one.

"You can leave" ALPHA SANTIAGO said .

"Ok" I nodded and turned to leave.

"Not you" His voice sounded behind him, I turn around confused only to see Beta Erdogan leaving.

Pointing at myself I ask, "Do you mean me?"

But he only glanced at me from his Silver mask and Sat down.

"Ok. I also think we have a lot of things to talk about" I went closer to him and found a sit too.

He placed on his face and adjusted his mask slightly,and says "You should know what to do and what not to do." It sounds like a threat but who cares about that now.

"I know, I should be grateful to you for your help" I replied self aware of my position here.

He raised his eyes and looked straight at me "You made this decision yourself and there is no going back" Those eyes sent shivers to my spine but if I don't challenge him will I still live up to my name as a troublesome person.

"So what if I regret it?" I ask provocatively with my chin raised.

"You want to know?" He stood up from his sit and walked to where I sat down.

"Not really you don't have to tell me" I pushed the chair back not wanting him to come even a step closer but before I even realized it he was already standing in front of me.

He raised his hand and slowly traced me face, and I can hear myself swallowing.

"You really don't have to..."

"Death" He spat out one word causing me to swallow back my words

"You told me that you aren't married" I finally decided to ask the questions that has been bothering me for a while now.

"I'm not married"

"Then, What about her?"

"Who?"

"Who? The one that just greeted you outside, "Your Majesty, You are finally back" I mimicked the girl.

"She is nobody, You don't have to care about her" He replies.

"You sure? She is not your mate? She is not your fiancee?" I asked again to confirm.

"I don't have a mate and I don't have a fiancee. Apart from me, Every other person here is not important" He says and before I knew it, he already left the study leaving me there all alone.

Well then, I can only listen to you.

"Miss, Come with me, I will show you to your room" The Head of the Maids that took Helen opened the door and came to me.

"Oh ok" I nodded and followed behind her.

"Stop!" Just as we got out of the study, An arrogant and rude voice cut us off just after we left the study.

"Let's keep going" The old maid said to me without caring about the person.

"I SAID STOP!"
