Unexpected 35: Understanding

Zandy slowly sat on the sofa when we got home. He was still grimacing because of the pain in his back caused by the lightning materials falling to him.

"Would you like us to hire a personal nurse who can take care of you?" Aunt Mandy asked as she sat down. Perhaps it feels sorry for the child's situation.

"Personal nurse? 'Mom, I'm not yet crippled to be taken care of by others. I can take care of myself," Zandy immediately protested.

"Zandy is right, mom, I'm here to take care of Zandy," I said, embarrassed by the last words.

Aunt Mandy's smile widened when she heard from me. "Are you willing to take care of my son, hija? I mean, you have your work, isn't that busy?"

I smiled. "No, mom, I'm the reason why Zandy became like that. I'm responsible for taking care of him," I said that was true to me. I want to take care of him so that at least I can make up for what he did to me.

Aunt Mandy's face brightened. "Wow! That's the wife," she praised. "Thank you, Miles."

I just smile. I turned
