Chapter One Hundred and One

Emma’s POV

“Here with you?” I asked, raising an eyebrow.

“Yes,” he replied, smirking a bit.

“Please,” I scoffed. “What exactly does that mean?”

“Nothing,” he shrugged his shoulders, trying to act innocent.

“Mhm,” I replied, sarcastically. “I don’t even want to know,” I rolled my eyes.

“My bad,” he said, raising his hands in defense.

I shook my head but didn’t say anything, then I yawned.

“You tired?” he asked, looking up at me.

“Yeah, kind of”.

“Alright, I had better take my leave then”.

“I didn’t say you had to go right now though. I’m not trying to kick you out or anything,” I said.

“Nah. Don’t worry. I didn’t even take it like that. I understand. Besides, it’s my fault for not spending the better half of the day with you. I came around too late so I’m not bothered by it,” he said, looking at me with a mix of sincerity and a tinge of sadness in his eyes.

“Okay then,” I said slowly as I stood up from the bed. “I guess this is goodnight then”.

“Yeah,” he said, standing up
