ELLA

"No!” I screamed, and my eyes flew open.

I gasped loudly, sitting up.

My entire body was drenched in sweat. My nightwear stuck to my skin, and perspiration beads dripped down my temples and back. My heart hammered in my chest.

The dream I just had played in my head.

Those black wolves.

In the dream, they pounced on me.

Who knows what would have happened if I hadn't woken up when I did? Would they have torn me apart in that dream?!

'Ella?' Ava called, her voice sounded worried. 'What's wrong?'

"I'm okay," I whispered under my breath. "I'm okay."

'What happened?' she asked again.

I wiped the sweat off my brow and closed my eyes. I inhaled deeply.

It was just a dream. I'll be fine. It was only a dream—a bad one.

“I had a dream,” I told Ava, continuing to tell her about everything that had happened in the dream.

I told her about the two black wolves and how, in the dream, I was a wolf, too.

ELLA"Get in," A voice spoke from inside the car.It was Tristan. At my silent refusal, he popped his head out. Winking at me, he said. “Hey, Ella, you look stunning."My cheeks flushed red. “Where's Wendy?" I asked."She had something to do and asked us kindly to pick you up," Tristan replied. He stretched out his hand for me to take it.I didn’t accept his offer."Accept my brother’s hand, and let’s go, Ella. We are already late." Nathan said, walking to the driver's seat and climbing in.He started the ignition, and that was my cue."Thank you for picking me up then,” I said to both brothers and entered the backseat.I didn’t accept Tristan’s hand, and he rolled his eyes. “Stubborn, stubborn, Ella.”“But she will be at the party. Right?”I wanted to confirm Wendy’s attendance because she was the only reason I attended. I didn’t say that last bit out loud, though."Yeah, sure, she will. She just got held up on the way." Nathan said. He turned, leaning over the headrest of his driver

ELLA‘Dear Ella, will you forgive me?’I blinked twice. This wasn’t real, right? This wasn’t Grace, the bully, speaking. She sounded so genuine it almost fooled me.“You want me to forgive you?” I asked, stunned.“Yes.” She replied and stretched out the cup of drink to me again. “Take it. It’s a token from me for my apology.”I collected the cup and took a small sip.It tasted harmless and sweet. Orange and lemon juice.Nice."I have to go now. I think my friends might be looking for me,” Grace announced with a guilty smile. She touched my hand lightly, "Again, Ella, I hope you forgive me truly. I look forward to being your friend.”The cup was on my lips, and I nearly sputtered out the juice."It's fine," I said slowly, suddenly uncomfortable, "Besides, I have to find my friend, Wendy, too.""Okay, then! I'll catch up with you later, and maybe we can have another drink or two together!" she said and blew me a kiss. Before I could reply, she had walked away, swaying her hips to the mu

Evan cursed at me, his hand going to his crotch and eyes popping wide with horror and pain.Pulling away from me, he looked to the side and wailed in agony for a while.Seizing the opportunity, I continued screaming while using all the strength I could muster to drag myself out of the room.“Help…Help me. Help—““Shut up, you bitch!” I heard him shriek from behind me, and before I knew it, he grabbed a fistful of my hair.“You think you can escape me, huh?!” He growled in my ear. “You think you can—““Arghhh!” I screamed, buckling my feet. I gave him a backhanded kick. His grip on my hair loosened, and he fell backward.I turned to face him, heart racing. His agonizing growl got cut off mid-way as he slammed into the thick block. Then his mouth fell shut, and his body went limp.A dull thud sounded on the floor, and the next I knew, he was passed

TRISTAN’S POVThe car pulled up in the driveway of the Blackwood mansion, and my brother killed the engines, turning to look at me."What?" I snapped in irritation. "Why are you giving me that look?""You know exactly why I'm giving you that look." He replied, turning in the seat and fully facing me. "You saw what happened today. Or didn't you?""What happened today?" I asked. A lot of things happened today. "Which one?""With Ella.""You mean the part where that bastard laid his hands on her?" Anger flared up inside me.The memories hit me hard, forcing me to clench my fists. The dark look in Nathan's eyes mirrored mine. "No, I was referring to the part where Ella displayed unnatural strength." He clarified.Oh, that. "And?”"She's starting to transform," Nathan said, and he didn't need to explain anything further. ELLAThe ringing of my phone pulled me from my slumber. At first, I lay still, letting the ringtone play in the corner of my mind. But when the loud sound of someone banging on my door accompanied it, I jumped up in a start."Ella! Shut that damned phone up!"It was Jack's, with his usual morning grumpy, angry voice.Cursing, I grabbed my phone off the nightstand and quickly turned it off."Fucking hell!" Jack spat again and rattled the doorknob, screaming when the door didn't open.I grabbed my blanket and held it up to my chest, thanking the heavens that I’d locked the door before bed last night. He tried unsuccessfully to open the door, and when it didn’t budge, he left his curses fading with his retreating footsteps.Sleep had deserted me already, so I got out of bed.I checked the alarm and let out a small gasp.Though it was the weekend, I had to get to work, and it was already late.I must have slept through my alarm somehow.Running the shower, I quickly got ready for work and

Because that was the only way I could escape this.Or should I lie back and wait for death to come because there was no way I could fight off these wolves? The wolves got closer, and my heart raced even more. But I don’t want to talk about that now.” Nathan ran his fingers through his hair. “Why don't we try and fix this, stop her from leaving?"“And how do you suggest we do that?" It was hidden perfectly in the ground, or at least I thought it was perfect. There was only one logical explanation for this. Only one person could have done this to me.I threw the box on the floor and stormed downstairs. At that moment, all I could think about was rage.God, I was so angry.Mom and Jack were on the couch watching a TV show when I got to the living room.Everything that’d happened earlier seemed like a myth, and they were all loved and coupled up. I almost gagged.Walking towards them, I stopped in front of the television and crossed my arms, my eyes brimming with unshed tears."What is the meaning of this?” Mom hissed, but I ignored her."Which one of you took my money?" ELLATEN YEARS LATER“Welcome, Luna.” The small, bespectacled woman bowed with a smile. “The kids have been waiting. They can hardly sit still at the moment.”I favored her a warm smile. “That is to be expected of kids. Right this way, please. Would you like anything to drink? Tea or coffee, perhaps?” She gestured to the hallway ahead, where the walls were painted a soft baby pink with motifs of flowers, rainbows, and stick figures playing in green fields. We walked down the hall side by side.“Water is good.”“I shall arrange for that.”We paused in front of a door. From the glass screen, I could see the kindergartens running about, smiling brightly as they chased one another

  • Her Twin Alphas   Chapter 108 Defeating The Witches

ELLADr Celia was dead.We found her body and that of the witch who was controlling her outside of the altar, badly burned up.The altar itself was on fire, but the fire was going down as if being suppressed by an invisible hand.Magic was probably at play, we guessed so.Some of the saved werewolves offered to bury the dead.Even as I stared at the dead body of the witch who controlled and killed my mentor, I didn't feel any feeling of satisfaction that she was dead.I would have felt a million times better if I were the one to tear her apart bit by bit and leave her body parts for the vultures and crows to pick her bones clean."There's someone inside there," Tristan said as I watched the wolves dig a grave for Dr Celia.I turned to him. He and Tristan had gone to check the altar, but they didn't get as far as the door."There's a witch inside." Nathan said. "Just how many of them are they?""It's a coven." I said and turned to the altar. "There's a lot of them. And we're going to k

ELLA“What the fuck is that thing?" Tristan asked, his voice carrying the awe and surprise we all felt. The large circle was the size of a small football field. The land strips around it looked like they had been lynched of all life. The circle glowed a pulsing red, dark and ominous, like something from a horror movie."A circle," Wendy said, her voice shaky.I couldn't even speak."I can see that it's a fucking circle, Carter. But what exactly is it?!""We don't know," Nathan replied. "We don't fucking know."We had been able to save most of the werewolves who had been mind-controlled and injured.I couldn't shake off the feeling of something being wrong. Then we noticed a light in the distance, not far from the altar, and traced it to this weird circle."You've got to be fucking with me," Tristan said, his voice cold and angry."Oh my goodness." I gasped, my eyes going wide.Out of the circle werewolves, many of them coming out in their numbers. Their eyes glowed red, signifying tha

I screamed out, my voice laced with horror. I rushed to her side.Wendy's head rolled to the side, and she looked at me.Her eyes were blood red, similar to the wolves who had been under the witch's mind control.
