Aria.
Slightly limping I made my way to the class, the feeling was awful; Not only my ankle was hurting but also there seemed to be a strange pain in my spine and more chest. Though my first shift wasn't today these sorts of signs were pretty much regular.
I sit on the chair and heaved out a sigh of relief but that didn't last long as I saw Hunter and a girl walking inside the class. The girl seemed pretty familiar and recognition drew upon me once I realized who this was. Samantha.... My cousin.
Well, Samantha liked Hunter from the start. She left no boundaries to try to get his attention even if it meant avoiding inviting me to a party so that she could get Hunter to focus on her only. And when nothing made it possible, she stopped for a couple of years until Hunter himself began turning into a monster towards me.
And now, Samantha left no chance to sneak into his pants. And it was no joke that she had slept with Hunter, not for one or twice in fact for countless times even though she knew Ashley was in some way Hunter's girlfriend.
My thoughts were broken when I heard the shuffling of the chair beside me, it didn't take me long enough to understand the person who sat beside me was my tormentor himself and beside him sat Samantha clinging to him.
I didn't shift my gaze toward him or at my nasty cousin.
"Won't you say hi to your cousin, Aria?" Samantha's voice felt like Sandpaper getting rubbed against my eardrums.
Oh, bloody hell! I hate this girl, even more than Ashley.
"I don't talk to sluts," I responded without looking at her.
I felt Hunter's intense gaze at me but I didn't look at him. It was of no use to try to even look at him.
"What did you just say?" her fuming voice echoed that drew enough attention towards her, that was what she wanted. Attention.
"I didn't know you are deaf, you should get your ears checked. A werewolf's hearing can't be this poor," I spoke nonchalantly and got my book out.
"You ugly bitch," From the loud slamming sound that was heard, I could tell she'd slammed her first onto the table but it wasn't my worry. I hated her anyway," How dare you call me a slut?"
So annoying.
This was when I finally shifted my stare at her. She was red in anger and her hands were shaking furiously as though she was ready to attack me but it didn't scare the nearest bit. Hunter on the other hand only looked at me, not even a drop of scrutiny seemed to have shifted towards Samantha.
"You know what? I take my words back," I smiled, "You can't be a slut because they are way better than you, you can be a...hmm.." I pretended to be in deep thought, "Get yourself a title that suits your character, I don't have time to waste on you."
She looked deranged. Yes. The insult perfectly hit her and a few laughs from the students around made it more likely to be effective.
I couldn't be happier. Watching her unable to speak up a word was a sight I'd pay for.
"I'll kill you," she stomped her heel on the ground and attempted to grab my hand but in the meantime, Hunter decided to stand up.
"Enough!" His eyes glared at me Despite wanting to shout back I couldn't say anything, nothing I say affects him so it would be a waste of effort.
"You shouldn't have spoken like this to Samantha," His voice was dangerously low and he grabbed my forearm jerking me to stand up. The action caused pain to shoot through my leg but I kept my lips pressed together to avoid any reaction that might give him the satisfaction he wanted.
"Say sorry to her," He ordered. I looked at him in disbelieve then at Samantha who now had the smirk plastered on her face caked with makeup.
Sorry to her? Not at all.
I'd let Hunter kill me today but saying sorry to someone like her was something I won't even do in my worst helpless situation.
"No," I responded keeping my fear aside.
I could say that Hunter hadn't expected me to disobey his order because of the flicker in his eyes and slightly raised eyebrows, after all, he was the Alpha.
"Say. Sorry. To. Her." He emphasized, his eyes daring me to speak another word.
Without any doubt, he was incredibly powerful and his aura was intimidating too but that couldn't make me say something I had already made my mind to disagree with. I was weak when it came to him but not when it was about others and today something inside me caused the fire to rise. I was not going to let him make me do anything that'd hurt my pride.
"NO!" I said louder.
"Aria, I said say sorry to her," He ordered in his Alpha tone, "Now!"
What is wrong with him? Why would I say sorry when it's not even my fault?
"A No means No," I removed my hand from his grip and grabbed my back before I proceeded toward the door without thinking about the consequences and considering the pain in my ankle that seem to increase with each rapid step I took, whatever it would be it couldn't be more worse than his treatment towards me.
"Where are you going?" His question stilled my legs and the low tone caused a shiver to run down my spine, I knew it wasn't a wise decision to disobey the Alpha but I couldn't refrain myself today anymore. Everything was too much to handle.
As if something wanted to burst out, the anger was boiling as if it would burn everything. I felt to destroy everything yet I wanted to do nothing other than go away somewhere where I could find peace. Save me from his hatred-filled gaze.
"Away from you, Alpha," I responded and walked out of the class.
A lone tear slid down my cheek but I quickly wiped it off with the back of my hand. My best friend became my bully and I was still unaware of the reason, unaware of his intention, of what caused him to hate me so much.
Hatred is the reward I got from him and the tears were a bonus.
A bitter chuckle escaped my mouth as I let myself get lost in the long corridor. I wanted to stay away from him. Away.
Aria. The school had ended, without any further encounter with Hunter and I was thankful for it. I didn't want to get into any conversation with him, even being close to him hurt me.I absentmindedly walked to reach the exit, most of the students had left, and due to my injured ankle, I was the only one who seemed to be taking more time than anyone else. The only destination in my mind was home, I felt safer there.I sighed and tried to stop myself from thinking about him, but my thoughts were in a nutshell. And suddenly a hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me inside a room, I gasped in surprise but then my eyes took a glance at the owner of the hand. My breathing got caught in my throat as those dark brown orbs bore into my eyes."Alpha, what are you..." I couldn't complete my sentence as he suddenly slammed me hard against the door with my body completely pressed against mines. The slight twitch of pain was nothing compared to the fear that prompted in my nerves."You shouldn't have s
AriaThe ringing of the alarm woke me up from my doze. I sat up from my laying position and looked outside the window. The sun has set up.Well. Happy birthday to me, again!Last night's small celebration my parents and Alpha Brian and Luna Olivia arranged went well. We hadn't invited many people to my small birthday celebration, and since I didn't have any friends it was even easier to cut it short. Although my parents took the liberty to invite a few of the girls and boys around my age, they mostly ignored me so did I? The incident with Hunter a day ago still haunted my mind, I still tried to keep myself free from worry. After all, I might find my mate today! The excitement and nervousness both were there but I couldn't fathom why the feeling of something displeasing happening bugged me.I shrugged and got up to freshen up. After I was getting ready, I headed downstairs."Oh, honey. You're awake," My mom exclaimed watching me walking down the stairs."That's a bit earlier than you
Aria."Aria, please open the door sweetheart," Dad's concerned voice requested."Please, my baby. Open the door," I could understand my mom's voice that she was on the edge of crying.I had kept myself locked for almost the whole day. The first few hours mom and dad didn't bother me as I had asked but after that their concern kicked in. It had been more than an hour since they are trying to get me out of my room. The tears hadn't stopped since, but they surely lessened. The ache in my cheat was what increased time by time.I could hear my parent's continuous questions asking me what happened and why I have locked myself. But what will I tell them? That I found out my mate kissing another she-wolf? And my bully is who turned out to be my mate? They didn't even know that Hunter and my relationship has turned into something like this. I myself couldn't understand what was the reason behind his change them how would I have explained it to my parents? "Aria, please open the door," Dad re
AriaEverything around was surrounded with dark as if dark clouds had descended from the sky and enveloped the atmosphere in a never-ending haze. The rainforest was even darker than ever despite the moonlight that shone at its best. One by one, I let the forest engulf me deeper into it. My skin was burning, the more it burned the more accurate I knew when my wolf was going to come out. I opened my clothes and let them rest beside the tree.Out of blue, a pain hit my abdomen. The agonizing scream tore from my throat at the abruptness of it. Before the aftershock from the previous hit could end another pain hit from my spoke. The sound of my bones cracking became the only sound I could hear. The burning sensation increased to the point where I could feel the tears gathering at the corner of my eyes, a cry slipped past my lips before I even knew it. As I started to notice the white fur appearing on my skin, something heightened my grief even more--She was beautiful but because of me she
Hunter. She fainted in my arms, her head fell on my chest, and inchmeal her heavy breathing started calming down. Her luscious dark hair shined even in the dark, her skin was shimmering in sweat and soft as rose petals. She looked like a goddess.I didn't deserve her. I didn't even deserve to touch her. After how I'd behaved with her over the years, I didn't even deserve to talk to her.I had fucked up very badly. In the ways to erase her from my heart, I had committed something I can't even fix now. She deserved happiness, and I'd taken it away from her. She used to be so happy and I took that smile away from her face just for some sick fear of losing her.Aria had been and always was the most beautiful female in our pack, everything about her was beyond astonishing. Her smile, her eyes, every little detail of her thrived me. I loved her, I still did but I pushed her away. From the very start, my demeanor was completely contrary to what Aria wanted in her mate, she wanted someone who
AriaI woke in a familiar atmosphere, in my room. The rays of the morning sun peered through the gap of the curtain and fell on my face waking me up from the slumber that I wished would never end.The surreal memories of last night attacked me from every side, the rise and fall of my chest increased as the pace of my heartbeat gradually turned rapid. The tears once again began gathering in my eyes but what could they bring? Nothing.Except for adding more to my misery, these tears were as useless as the mate bond between me and Hunter Rodriguez. He despised me, all he had ever shown to me was his hatred and this mate bond was not a blessing, it was a curse. A curse that was going to ruin my life completely, snatch the last hopes that I had left inside, the hopes that gave me the strength to keep my shattered life together.I did not have any idea what I should do.I was a mess! And just when I was on the verge of breaking down once again, a sudden knock on the door broke the chains of
Aria"Aria, sweetheart get ready quickly. Okay?" Dad asked as he noticed me walk upstairs after I was done with a small baking session with mom."For what?" I asked, confused. To keep my mind off of things, I had decided to bake some cookies with some and I'd be a lie if I said that it helped me in any sort of way. The entire time I had to force myself to concentrate on baking. It was as if there was no other thought left in my brain except for that one person and what made it worse was that I could feel the emotions Sierra was going through. The mate bond was affecting both of us and the distance and the abortive future I could see had given my pain a few more reasons to increase."Your mom hasn't told you yet?" Dad asked before he tilt his head to glance back mom who was storing the freshly baked cookies in the jar, "Honey, why haven't you told her that we and some important pack members who are in charge of the pack along us are invited to Brian's house?" Mom's mouth formed 'o'
AriaAlpha Brian and Luna Olivia greeted us as we reached their mansion."How are you, sweetheart? Olivia walked closer to me and caressed my cheek."I am fine," I flashed her a smile which she gladly returned."Come on everyone, let's have a seat," Brian guided us inside. This was the first time in the last four years that I have stepped into this house, from the time being Hunter draw the distance between us I never tried to look back not even thinking of coming here on the occasions. But today I had to...Because after all these years, I finally decided to face him. Running and keeping away from myself due to the fear of facing his gaze full of hatred was not what I am going to do anymore. We all took seats around the round table. There were plenty of people here today, and Hunter's beta and gamma were there too. They flashed me a small smile like they always had every time we'd ever met."What's it about, Brian? An announcement you were talking about, what's it?" Dad asked.Brian'
Aria"As far as I knew, wedding nights were supposed to be super romantic," I fought my giggle when he aggressively opened my wedding dress letting it fall on the floor before he hastily moved on to unclipping my bra."So what does this seem to you? Unromantic?" He rose one of his eyebrows as he ripped open my panties and the sound broke through the not-so-existing silence in the room."No, but you are acting like a hungry animal," A chuckle finally left my mouth.Suddenly with one swift yank, Hunter pulled me towards him so that my naked chest come colliding against his one. Goosebumps raked my body and heat entrenched into my skin."You are right because I am starving," His growl alone made the wetness gather between my thighs. He picked me up by my thighs and hooked my legs around his hips, slipping my arms around his neck to keep myself steady."And now that my prey is right in front of me, I am not going to hold back anything," He put me down on the bed, hovering over me and he w
AriaI did not know where I was. All I could see was darkness and darkness; Nothing other than that.Only one question that rose in my mind was—Was I alive or dead? However, my questions went answered and unanswered at the same time when I felt someone's presence beside me. It could be just a hallucination or it could simply mean nothing. But then I felt someone's touch that sent bolts of electricity to my whole body. Because of the chaos of thoughts, at first, I could not recognize the feeling but then once I felt the scintillas spreading throughout my body, I figured out that these were the sparks of the mate bond. The weight on the eyelids that kept me unable to open my eyes slowly vanished, and I fought the weakness to open them. It took me a few seconds before I finally managed to open them.Glaring sun rays hit my eyes, forcing me to rapidly close them once again. A small groan left my mouth automatically and I shifted a bit to avoid the light, lifting my aching arm to cover my
Aria"Sorry, beloved," Knight whispered before he pulled the knife out and thrust it into my stomach once again, "Revenge is more important to me than possession, but don't worry..." he once again pulled out the sharp weapon and insert it into the same place with double force, "Once I kill your mate, I'll save you because I have plenty of things I haven't done with you yet." He finally withdrew the knife and let go of me; The imbalance left me stumbling a few steps backward. My hands moved to press onto the wound. The blood endlessly gushed out it, covering my hand and dripping down to the floor, the pain was unlike anything. Everything in front of my eyes went blank for a second and I found myself falling to the ground. But my body did not end up colliding against the floor— Before I could fall to the ground, Hunter caught me in his arms."Aria..." He began hesitating, his eyes wide in horror and hands vigorously shaking as he watched the blood gush out of the deep wound continuous
Aria"Hunter..." His name fell off my lips before I even knew it."I see...so your mate's here." He spoke, lowly, "Too bad he has invited his own death.""Or maybe, it's you who's going to die."He laughed, looking at me in disbelief, "You really think so? Guess, you can comfort yourself by saying that but for now, my beta and gamma are enough to take care of your mate since after defeating all the rouges I put to guard, it's impossible for him to defeat them." "You are really a victim of the disease that destroys people, and you know what it is? It's your fucking overconfidence." I spat."But as far as I can see it's you and your mate who are going through the demolition," He said raising one of his eyebrows, "Anyways, let's see what's your mate doing downstairs...has he died yet or not, perhaps—" A loud growl of Hunter buzzed throughout the mansion once again causing Knight to stop in the midway of his sentence."Or maybe, he just killed your dear companions." It was my turn to ra
HunterKnight was smart enough to choose to build his mansion in the middle of the forest, but not enough to choose a forest that did not have only a slight distance of a few hundred miles like this one had.Once I entered the forest, using the mate bond to track where Aria exactly was. I became aware of the fact that Knight was not that confident about how he sounded on the phone because on every corner he kept rouges as the guards to prevent me from reaching his mansion. However, I did not let his arrangements succeed because I tore down every one of the routes into pieces just like I had told him. I knew my Aria was with him, captured by that son of a bitch and I needed to get her out at any cost. I wanted to rescue her as fast as possible before he could hurt her. I did not want to lose her.And I was like a ravenous animal who had no mercy left inside of him. I had forgotten everything, the only thing that was in my mind was that I needed to save my mate before that monster could
AriaWhen Knight hung up on his call with Hunter, at first I did not have any idea what was I going to do and what was going to be Hunter's decision when Knight intentionally put him in the middle of such a dilemma. Knight has no intentions to kill, he has told me by himself even though his intentions were far worse than killing me.Knight's agendas were so vicious and tricky. It was impossible to learn what was going to be his next move going to be.And that was why I did not want Hunter to reach here. Yes, I did not care or give a damn about what was going to be my state but I did not want my mate to get hurt or injured. Only because of that, I tried to send Hunter a signal to stop him from trying to reach where I was, taking Sierra's help to convey the message.I still had no idea if I had succeeded in doing that because Hunter's mark on me was still fresh and raw. But at the end of my attempts, I began badly regretting my decision.I did not know how that signal went, I did not ha
Hunter"Where is Aria? Where have you taken her? You fucking bastard!""Ugh! Why are you shouting," He groaned, "What is wrong with you and your mate, huh? You both keep shouting like mad dogs.""Shut up, motherfucker. What do you think of yourself? Trust me, the moment I see you, I am going to kill you." I growled."Sorry my friend, I can't trust you on that." His vicious laughter sounded through the phone, "There are two reasons, first there are close to zero chances that you'll reach your mate, second within only fifteen minutes the rouges who are all around your pack are going finalize the attack and before you holler up with your overconfidence, let me tell you they are not at all the ordinary rouges you have ever come across. They are filled with hunger and vengeance, and the blood and flesh of your and Deadcrest packs' members are going to quench their thirst."I became hyperaware of the entire situation. The dismay for the pack's safety stirred awake within me along with the c
AriaSince the past hour, I had not been able to move an inch from where Knight tied me. These ropes were so tight that every time I moved my hands my skin would end up getting sliced, the more I strained against it the more it'd hurt me.Tension, fear, anxiety— I felt all sorts of emotions attack me from every side.I had to do something to save my pack but here I was, under this brute's captive. And if I can't get out then he'd destroy my pack, he'd succeed in his mission. I needed to warn the members about Knight's plan.I struggled against the restraints, ignoring all the pain it was causing me. The gag muffled my groans and screams, almost suffocating me.And then suddenly the door opened and entered none other than the demon himself—Knight.Amusement shined in his atrocious grey eyes, "I see, you haven't given up yet."He stalked closer, there was a plate of food in his hand and he rested it on the side table."Although I'd love to have you tied and gagged this is not the way I'
Hunter"Hunter, calm down," Mom said, "Breaking things like this is not going to solve the problem.""I don't have any idea where the hell she is, she is not in the pack, mom. Do you fucking understand what that means? Do you even understand the things that can happen to her?" I shouted, "There are enemies everywhere, they can seriously hurt her, and I might never be able to get her back.""We will get her back, son. Please calm down." Dad spoke."No, I can't calm down. I can't until I find her," I threw away the chair against the wall, till now the entire office was a mess; Everything was destructed to the point of no return but I could care less about that, all that was in my mind was my Aria.It was all my fault.I should have told her about everything. How much pain she must have gone through! The look on her face from last night was still haunting me. She looked so...broken; It was all because of me.I knew she was in danger, it was so obvious. She has gone through the toughest
