CHAPTER 35

As soon as I got to the office my dad was sitting at his desk and this time he didn’t have anyone else in there with him. I was surprised by that.

“Where are the warriors who are looking for mom?” I asked as I sat down.

“They checked in this morning. They don’t have any new leads. I think I might have to call them back in.” Dad said.

“You’re giving up.” I said.

“They can’t just keep looking aimlessly. I mean, this is a really big country to search. We need to find more concrete evidence.” Dad said.

“Maybe I should go out there and look. I would probably have better luck.” I said.

“Absolutely not. Not when we know that there are hunters out there. They will do anything to get their hands on an Alpha’s daughter.” He said.

So I turned the computer on and I grabbed some files but instead of doing what I was meant to, I got on the dark web again.

I put that photo of my mother tied to the chair on there with the caption ‘if anyone notices this location please let me know’.
