"Officer I thank you from the bottom of my heart for rescuing my daughter. You have no idea how extremely grateful we are. We are indebted to you for your kind work." Me Spikes took the hands of the inspector in his as she shook them frantically.

The inspector chuckled and shook his head slowly.

"No, Mr. Spikes. You should direct that gratitude to this young lady." He gestured to Janice Jordan who stood beside him, wringing her fingers nervously.

"She saved your daughter, not me. She reported to us otherwise we wouldn't have known a single thing till this very moment. So, therefore, Janice here owes all the accolades."

Mr. Spikes kept a stay narrow gaze trained on Janice for some moments, making her extremely uncomfortable as she shifted relentlessly in her feet.
