Chapter 22

I got to my chambers, feeling mousey, terrified and scared. Never ever have I tried being disrespectful and cold towards anyone. I just wished to have my divorce granted as I knew cahir would never grant that wish of mine, nevertheless, there was no harm.

I paced towards the window, exhaling softly and rubbing my palms together. I could find pups playing outside. They were cahir's cousins. How they loved me. However, they betrayed in the end because their mothers painted a bad image of me.

I scoffed and threw the curtain in anger. By nightfall, the elder must have finalized the merger. Just as predicted, an omega knocked on my door to give the information.

Although, I was nervous, but I had to bury that anxious feeling in me. Once she delivered the message, she took a glimpse at me and left. Her look felt suspicious and I found it awkward.
