Chapter 36 : The Vultures Swarm

The second I pulled away from Nick's house, I knew I'd have to avoid the office. Those pictures would probably be online in minutes. Everyone would be talking about me and calling me names behind my back. It wasn't worth the stress today.

When we approached my house, I realized I wouldn't be able to stay long. There were dozens of paparazzi camping out in front of my home. I felt sick and violated. Not only had they followed me to Nick's, but now they were invading my sacred place.

I asked the driver to pull around to the block behind my house and gave him an extra tip and a five-star rating. Hopefully, that would be enough to keep him from sharing his story of driving around LA's most notorious real estate agent.

I walked carefully through my neighbor's backyard, trying to keep my heels from getting stuck in the grass. This was so not how I wanted to be spending my morning, especially after such a good night. Nick was as passionate as Michael and as precise as Rob. He
