The next morning, my head was spinning from my conversation with Mandy. I absolutely was not planning to sleep with Nick ever, but the idea was kind of exciting to me. After all, he was my childhood crush. It was fun to imagine the possibility.

It was more fun to imagine my possible commission, though. During our staff meeting, I updated everyone on my progress. Everyone congratulated me on my closing with Michael, except Crystal, who had steam coming out of her ears. I was glad no one brought up the story or my recent shame.
