Grace's pov:

I was sitting on my bench gazing out of the window thinking about Joshua. He said I deserve every happiness but do I? He knows nothing. He knows nothing how I'm a burden to my parents. A failure to Mrs. S-- whatever. An undeserving person to everyone.

I gazed at the red rose in my hand which he gave me. Was I still holding it? He gave me this beautiful red rose thinking how much pure I'm but he doesn't know I can ruin this rose by my darkness. Because I'm an unlucky charm to everyone.

I turned my head to back and saw him talking with Brandon and laughing quietly so the teacher won't catch them. I again turned to the window not knowing what to think so I put that rose in between my new book and closed it to secure the rose between the pages.
