Chapter 39

Mark’s POV

The room swirled under my feet, pushing me to grab the edge of the table to keep myself steady.

My wolf felt restless, I wish I could let myself go and just put a bit of disruption into the

company. How? How the fuck did Kate slip away this time? What exactly is it that she has on my

father to make him so in tune with her?

It can’t be the red hair! Even though it does burn like a cooling fire and can make anyone lost in

it. It still doesn’t matter. There is a reason he is a bloody old wolf. He is meant to understand life

beyond its physicality.

I growled in discomfort as pain struck the side of my head. My breathing is tangled with difficulty

and I just can’t seem to get a grip on myself. The legs wobbled causing me to stagger towards the

chairs and fall to the ground.

“You are just fooling yourself! Stop lying to yourself!” The voice in my head kept echoing in a

taunting tone.
