Chapter 23 Betting With Luck

“I asked you a question.” Henry’s dark voice sounded from above her, Emma looked up at his blank face and made up an excuse.

“I… I was searching for one of my students here. I heard she was going to visit some friends of hers, here.”

Henry stared at her for a while lost in a daze when she added cleverly, “She’s a bright student in my class, I just needed to check if someone is not tricking her.”
