Lifetime's Consequence

On hearing what the leader said, I stood behind Colin frozen in fright, I stood there watching with bated breath, my heart pounding as the leader moved steps closer to Colin.

“You’re not as tough as you think, youngman” the leader smirked and blew a breeze on his knife, sending shivers through my spine.

“I don’t need to be tough,” Colin replied, standing tall, and strong. “I just need to be tough enough to save her from you.” Colin added and immediately, Colin lunged forward, catching the leader by surprise grabbing his hand as he grappled for control over the knife.

Through the struggle, Colin punched the leader to make him free his hold on the knife but he didn't, surprisingly the other men moved backwards on sighting blood oozing out of their leader's nose.

“Don’t just stand there,” the leader shouted at his men as he struggled with Colin. “Get her!” he yelled angrily.
