Isla’s pov

I stood there, frozen in disbelief, as my mother packed my clothes into a suitcase. This unexpected turn of events had caught me completely off guard. How could she think leaving the pack and returning to the hybrids would be safer for me and my children?

"Mother, I cannot just leave," I protested, trembling with confusion and determination. "Alpha Leon would never put our family in danger. He cares about us, and he has protected us all this time."
