Isla’s pov

“Isla, everything will be ok.” Aaron immediately turned to me and stroked my face with his hand, sending shivers of excitement bolting through my body. My wolf howled at our mate's touch, but I couldn’t help but worry. Aaron’s father did not like witches, and I understood his reasons. However, the mate bond was a powerful thing. I loved Aaron with all my heart and soul. He was the best thing that had happened to me. I couldn’t bear the thought of losing him or being the reason his father made him step down as Alpha.

“Aaron, please. Go to your father. He will be waiting for you, m. Don’t let him wait long.” I stepped away and shook my head.

“Isla, my father loves me, and he won’t be here to destroy what we have just because you are a hybrid. My darling, please do not let this consume you with worry or upset.
