2022-10-17 11:45:02Anda banged on the garage door with her fist impatiently, Adam was such a deep sleeper. The door opened and Adam stared at her with sleepy eyes.
"Jesus . You have the keys don't you?" Adam glared at her locking the door as soon as she came in.
"I didn't have the time to grab my keys" Anda replied.
"Why wouldn't you have time? Oh.. your father found you" Adam sat down.
"We have to leave, tonight.. I can't risk getting caught.. if I ever step my foot in Dullard, I'm never coming back.. they're gonna get me married off to the highest bidder.. I can't risk that, I can't risk my freedom"Anda gulped down a glass of water to lubricate her suddenly dry throat.
"Let's go, take a shower, you reek of sweat" Adam frowned his face and Anda rushed into the bathroom letting water run down her body as she took the fastest bath . Wearing one of Adam's sweatpant and Pullover she stepped into the bedroom where Adam was packing stuff in his backpack.
"I thought we always have a ready to go bag" Anda picked her backpack.
"Well, I unpacked I thought we were staying longer this time, I'm done.. let's go" Adam smiled picking his keys.
They got into the sports car packed outside and drove off into the night.
"I can't believe I'm leaving UK at 5:45 am.. have you even slept today? You have a boat race in the afternoon, what if you fall into the water and drown?" Adam asked.
"You've known me long enough to know I don't get tired when I'm on a race so quit complaining, we can sleep in the plane, we have six hours before the race" Anda smiled shaking her head.
"Why did I have to be your friend of all people in the world? Did I betray my country in my past life?" Adam muttered to Anda's hearing but she knew he didn't mean it.
Adam couldn't get on the track since he sustained any injury that got him bed ridden for a year so he enjoyed watching races and coaching Anda was worth all his time.

"What do you mean the car broke down?I told you to hire a perfect car" Anda glared at Adam.
"I thought I did.. look,instead of complaining,how about you fix it" Adam said.
"Let's just get a cab" Anda shook her head.
"We've got an hour left,use thirty minutes to fix the exhaust cable,we hired it and we can't spare money paying for the car if it gets stolen"Adam replied
" Fine but if we get to the race late,I'll never forgive you"Anda pulled on her overalls and got under the car looking for the exhausted wire.
It didn't take her ten minutes to fix it but she wondered why Adam was quiet. He was never quiet. He was either teasing her or complaining about something.

"Come on out" Judith drawled in a bored one and Anda rolled from under the car smiling.
"You found me.. again, How's your head?sorry about that" Anda said.
"Do you think your father is a fool? Anda.. if you really want to enjoy your freedom then start avoiding races... We can always find you around them but you can't resist the urge huh?" Judith smiled.
"I just have to get something in my car" Anda sighed
"I've been bitten once by you.. I'm not getting bitten again.. put her in the car" Judith ordered.
"I'll go.. but I'm going with my friend okay?" Anda rolled her eyes.
"Why should I go with you? We are. Not friends" Adam laughed nervously.
"Seriously? You promised to always be with me and remember you've always wanted to visit Dullard.. this is your chance and you can also leave anytime you want but please be my support system.. please.. please" Anda Pleaded.
"Fine..." Adam followed her into the car clasping their hands together as the car zoomed off.
"We need to get you in proper clothes and shoes.. a nice wig will do" Judith smiled.
"I'm not wearing a wig or fancy clothes.. I like my hairs and clothes... I feel comfortable"Anda said.
" You don't dress to feel comfortable.. you dress to impress people around you and draw respect"Judith replied.
" I feel like I'm twelve again getting schooled by you after firing my governess "Anda rolled her eyes.
" Can we watch the race from here? It started ten minutes ago"Adam looked at me.
" Of course"Anda smiled switching on the television.
" Wow... Being a princess is sure different"Adam smiled.
The next two hours was hell for Anda, she had to be dressed in a ball gown, prodded and fitted. She had to wear a long red wig to make her look like a Costa and when they were done with her. She was breathing heavily without strength to get down the private jet.
"Wow, Is this paradise?" Adam asked as he stared at the lush green pastures and clear water running down the lakes.
Dullard was beautiful with rich Soil and oil.
Natural air and water mixed in the air making Anda breathe in to calm her nerves.
She was no longer Anda Samuels in this land. She was Miranda De Costa and everything she wanted to forget was here.
"Your father is waiting in his office, let's go" Judith led her into one if the cars separating her and Adam admist their protest.
