Leo cannot stop laughing. Even when my professor had climbed into the car, and then drove off.

My best friend was still laughing.

“Fine, fine. That was funny, I was giving you your flowers and you threw them away.”

I roll my eyes at him.

“I wish I hit you with said flowers. Anyway, I need to swing by the witches coven.”

His laughter disappears.

“What for?”

“You don’t have to follow me inside. I’ll go inside and get something and pop out real quick.”

I can’t let him come into the family mansion.

“Is it important?”

He knows I won’t ever willingly take him there.

“Very.”

“Then I am going in with you.”

We argue on the drive there, but he does not back down.

Finally when we get to the huge black gate, I see that he is struggling to keep his composure.

Whilst his father was infatuated with this family, I was treated like gold whenever I went over.

My family treated him and his father like they were fleas, so we rarely ever spent time here
