Chapter 5

   Natalia called her parents that she was not coming back to America anytime soon, and she assured her parents that she was fine and she was expecting a baby, even though her parents were worried about her condition being her first pregnancy, her mom insisted that she must come to America,

 Natalia refused but prefer to stay In Brazil, 

A few weeks later, Justino took Natalia out as usual and he was a little bit drunk which was against the traffic law, he was controlled by the traffic police and tested, and the percentage of liquors Is more than normal, and he was arrested,

 Justino was led to the police headquarters and detained, and when his data was checked on the computer, his data read a wanted by the narcotics police, and when Justino realized what was coming to him and his girlfriend, he denied Natalia, and he told the police that, he didn't know her, he only gave her a ride because of her condition,

  The police officer asked, "are you married?"

"No" Natalia retorted, 

"Can you call your relative?" the police asked, 

"sure" Natalia retorted, "but they won't be able to come," she said, 

"Why?" the police asked, 

"they are In the United States" Natalia retorted, 

"Are you an American?" the police asked, 

"yeah," Natalia retorted In panicking, 

"what are you doing here In this country?" the police asked, 

"I came for tourism and carnival" Natalia retorted, 

"how long have you been In this country?" the police asked, the police asked, 

"seven weeks," Natalia asked, 

"Where are your traveling documents," the police asked, 

"Natalia brought out her International passport, and some other relevant documents, and she was handed over to Immigrations, 

The next day, Natalia called Anthonio from the Immigration office, and she explained little things about what happened, 

 Anthonio seek the assistance of a lawyer, and he lied that, she left home because of minor Issues, and he has been searching for her before she calls him, and the lawyer did the necessary things, and her paper to stay In Brazil was regulated, and he was released to Anthonio, 

 when they left the Immigration office, Anthonio asked, "do you want to return home?" 

"I'm scared of going back to that house" Natalia retorted, 

"How about your luggage?" Anthony asked, 

"I don't have the key to the house" Natalia retorted, 

"Why," Anthonio asked, 

"Because we always go out together, and. when my handbag was checked, the keys they found In my handbag were queried, so I was happy by not having the house key with me" Natalia explained, 

"I understand," Anthonio said, "let me drop you at home because I have to go to work," he said, 

"thank you," Natalia said, 

"you are welcome," Anthonio said, and they walked to the bus station, and took a bus,

Meanwhile, the news of Justino's arrest has reached his mom and stepdad, they've sent their guys to evacuate all the necessary things that could Implicate them, and they went hidden, they only paid for a senior lawyer to plead for leniency, and Justino was sentenced to five years imprisonment,

Natalia has never met with Justino's mom, but she met with his few friends at the nightclubs.

Antonio and Natalia took a public bus to Anthony's family house leaving Natalia at home and he went to work, 

Anthonio's mom walked Into Anthonio's room where he met Natalia, and she asked, "where have you been since all these days?" 

"It's a long story," Natalia said, and she burst Into tears, 

"sorry, though I don't know what's happening in your life, take things easy, you will be fine, though we don't have much the little we have, everybody In the house will manage It," Anthonio's mom said, and she moved closer to her and embraced her, and she went to the kitchen, she prepared sustenance and bring It for her In the room, and she said, "you might not like our sustenance, but as time goes on, you will get used to our system of living"  

"Thank you, ma'am," Natalia said, 

"you are welcome," Anthomio's mom said, and she returned to the living room, 

Natalia called her parents, and she explained everything to them, and her dad said, "the deed has been done, please come back home before you get Implicated" 

"I can come because my ticket has been expired, I need to raise funds for my ticket before I can be able to come back home," Natalia said, 

"let me see what I can do to make things easier for you," her dad said, "are you still In his house?" he asked, 

"Not at all, I'm with a friend, and they are been nice to me" Natalia explained, 

"Is that place comfortable and conducive?" her dad asked, 

"Not all that comfortable, but I don't have a choice, I have to manage" Natalia retorted, 

"Okay, I will discuss it with your mom," her dad said, 

"Thank you, dad," Natalia said, and she ended up with the phone conversation, and she stood up and walked Into the living room where Anthonio's mom was watching television, and she sat beside her, and asked, "Is there anything I can do for you?" 

"thank you, I do all my house chores all alone" Anthony's mom retorted, 

"thank you, ma'am," Natalia said, and she entered Into Anthonio's room sat on the couch and later laid down on the bed and slept off, 

Antonio closed from work as usual, and he returned home as usual and he returned home where he met Natalia and Shasha watching a movie on the television, and when she saw Anthonio, and two of them entered Into the room, and after dinner, Natalia asked, "can you help me get a job" 

"Why," Anthonio asked, 

"I need money to terminate the pregnancy" Natalia explained, 

"I won't support that, leave the Innocent baby, let the baby lives," Anthonio said, 

"I can't fund the expenses of the baby," Natalia said, 

"I will support you till you will put to bed," Anthonio said, 

"do you think your salary will fund all the expenses?" Natalia asked, "I need a job to assist you In other to make a better living," she said, 

"at this time, you need to be at home because of your conditions, and I want to raise some money for you so that you can renew your flight ticket to return to the United States" Anthonio explained, 

"you are right but I still need a job," Natalia said, 

"let's leave all the discussion till another day, I need to sleep on time because of tomorrow's work," Anthonio said, and he laid down on the bed and slept off why Natalia was unable to sleep,

"the following day, Anthonio left home early, and Natalia went to meet Shasha Anthonio's kid sister, and she told her that she need a job, and Shasha promised two days, 

Two days later, Natalia started working In the same company that Shasha was working, 

When Anthonio knew that Natalia has started working, he couldn't say anything, but he asked, "are you comfortable working In that company?" 

"sure" Natalia retorted,

A few weeks later, Natalia started catching feelings, meanwhile, Anthonio has caught feelings right from the first day he met Natalia but he was controlling himself because he doesn't want Natalia to think he wanted to take advantage of her, 

During the winter, everywhere was cold, and when she realized that Anthonio was shivering on the small mattress he lay on, she called him and said, "Anthonio please come on the bed, this bed Is big enough for two of us, this weather Is too cold" and she came down from the bed and held his hand and. She stared at him, and she said, "I know I made a mistake by leaving you, but It was not my fault" Natalia said,

"I don't want to Inconvenient you, leave me, I will manage," Anthonio said, and he laid down on the small mattress,
