“Another one, please.” I told the waitress at Uno bar. She smiled at me and sashayed towards the counter, knowing that my eyes trained on her body. The black dress was wrapped around her shapely body like it was second skin and her hips swayed seductively. It’s not that I was interested in her. In fact I was dying of boredom and sadness. Even though I knew that drinks wouldn’t solve anything, I couldn’t think of anything else to do. The drinks didn’t make me feel better but the action (drinking) did in a way. I desperately needed to do something and somehow I had found myself at a bar.
It was the second time in the week that aunt Caro had opened my bedroom door. That was too much, considering I did not want her to open it all. I was getting depressed and I did not feel like talking to anyone, not even Noah whose conversations I used to love so much.“What’s going on with you?” she inquired. &
Noah handed me a folded piece of white paper.“What is this?” I asked, my eyes boring into him.“Open it,” he said with a slight shrug of his shoulders.
