Chapter 5

ARIEL

Water sprinkled all over my body causing me to shiver and afterwards, my bones became stiff after lying down in such a position for a long time.

My eyes moved forward swiftly as they caught up with a guard standing overhead with a frown.

“Jerk.. Do you think that you were brought here to have as much nap as you want?“ There was a mixture of hatred and mockery in his voice as he sneered at me.

“ Get up from the floor right this moment.“ Another bucket of water came splashing all over my body.

But that was barely enough to pull off my already weak body from the floor.

He drew me off forcefully from the floor as a slight groan escaped from my mom.

"Get up you fool, the Lycan wants you right this moment.“

The guard grip around my arms was so firm that I was way too sure that my skin cells wouldn't have enough breathing space.

"Now I must warn you, you will behave yourself or you will not live to tell the story.“ He sounded a clear warning into my ears

At the sound of the word, I let out a thick laughter.

“The Alpha wants me? How pathetic.“ I muttered.

“Seems you don't know what you have gotten yourself into.“ A scoff came afterward as he pulled me off from the point where I was standing.

His hands were circled firmly around my hands as he led me to an unknown destination and finally, we got to a vast room with a lot of girls.

Before coming into the room, I could hear their loud chatter but immediately I walked into the place, it died off immediately.

Then I heard the sudden sound of footsteps streaming off towards me in a very swift but delicate manner and finally, it drew a stop before us.

“Take care of her as instructed by the Alpha.“ The guard said walking away from the place and leaving me with the girls.

Suddenly their murmurs came once again as they intersected her with watchful hers.

“So she is the one..“

“I never thought that the Alpha would be interested in anyone..“

“I heard that he is going to have a new mistress soon. Is she the one?“

“She isn't even that beautiful.“ Their murmurs filled her ears, getting me even more confused than I already was.

I could sense the mixture of surprise, shock, and even jealousy in their voices. As though they were ready to rip me apart into two halves without even a second thought.

“Shhh everyone.“ An elderly lady emerged from the other side of the door towards me, making all of them keep shut.

“What's going on..“ I could no longer help the suspense but pair into their eyes for answers that I knew I would never get.

“The Alpha will tell you all about it when it's ready.“ She replied with her motherly voice.

Soon, I sank into a bathtub, and the hard scourge crawled throughout my body until it became clear White.

After which, I was clothed and sent away to the Alpha.

Even though I tried hard not to admit it, his darkroom was enough to send chills down my spine.

The trophies of his Victories or I would call the horrors of his those that he had trampled upon with his cruel feet.

“Ariel be strong.“ I whispered to my inner being, drawing a really deep breath, and straightened up because I could never allow him to see me in such a sorry position.

But without spitting out a single word from his mouth, he drew over to me and his hands ran through my hair.

Cold shivers went down my spine and I could not tell why but my heart was racing fast.

And my mind could only pinpoint one thing and that was the mate bond.

“Don't let it get a hold of you, Ariel.“ I reminded myself by pushing my hair away from him almost immediately.

“What's with the rumors that I am hearing? That you want to make me your mistress…”

“Isn't it a worthy position?“ He shot a proudful sneer at me.

'I wonder what girl in their right senses would be drooling to be your mistress.'

“I don't want to be your mistress. I heard that the last relationship ended sour. Didn't it?“

“Seems you listen to a lot of rumors, don't you? But you might get a worthy death just like the previous Luna and what's more, you get to warm my bed every night.“

While he continued to speak, his eyes split red almost immediately with the looks of a devil.

“Now strip.“ His words were like a stab right in my head.

At first, I was stricken with fear but my will was much stronger than my instincts and I was not going to bow to him so easily.

“I said strip.“ He growled at me once again this time his voice was much louder.

My hands were wrapped around my chest as I moved backward slowly trying to formulate thoughts in my head.

But before I could think of anything useless, he stormed off towards me with the speed of lightning and crawled his hands around my neck.

“How dare you disobey my orders.“ He stared right into my eyes while I lay on the floor gasping for breath and trying to pull his hands away from my neck.

With so much force I kicked but it missed him. He dropped me to the floor causing me to fall.

A tear escaped from my eyes as I knew that was exactly what I signed up for when I decided to take this path of revenge.

First, he took my parents and my dignity, and now he has got to take away my dignity. But I was going to be replaced by his death.

He moved closer to me but stopped at a point at the sound of a clinking chain.

My eyes stormed off to the floor almost inked and my eyes almost popped off from my eyes socket as I saw it lying right there on the floor.

It was the president that I had always had right from the day that I was born and it reminded me of my parents.

'I can't allow him to take it. No.'

Trying to get it back, I stormed off towards him but before I could get to it, Alpha Derek had already picked it off from the floor.

Raising it towards his eyes, his eyes caught up with the metal for inspection

“Give it back to me.“ I yelled at the top of my voice but I could hardly think that he could hear what I just said as he was caught still staring at it with some much familiarity.

But I didn't think that he was going to take it away from me because it was certainly nothing worth of value.

But all of a sudden, he rushed towards me, picking me up from the floor and placing me on the wall staring right into my eyes as though he was searching for something.

“Now tell me, where do you get this from?“ He yelled at me.

Fear crept through my spine as I thought that he had already found out about my true identity or I was just overthinking it.

I braised up.

“It's nothing that interests you.“ I replied trying to snap it off from his hands but he had a really firm grip on it.

“Don't dare me this time… And I might let you live..“ He growled at me, getting me even more confused.

“I picked it up from the floor, what's more, do you want to know about it?“ I replied without a single trace of emotion on my face.

“Is that so…” He replied.

“It would be way too easy for me to get the truth from you.“ He replied turning me around and the revelation of what he was about to do hit me like an avalanche, pulling the strings off from every single part of my body.
