Alpha Zedex

Zov my wolf, sneered in rage within me, as I tilted my head to the side to see who dared interrupt my order.

At this point, he was the one taking control, as my brownish eyes color glowed brightly like a ring of fury fire. Anger was surging through my veins as I clenched and unclenched my fist. Zov isn't planning to take it slightly with whosoever it may be.

It always baffled me why he always took control of my mind whenever it concerned Camila.

The mate bond is unexpectedly getting stronger by the day. He could sense anything about her, most especially her pains; he felt it down to his bone marrow. However, whenever I inflict pain on her and when he can't control me, he withdraws back deep into my soul whimpering sadly.

A few hours ago, I was shocked at how he was pushed to the edge just by the mere sight of an omega laying hands on Camila, Zov almost lost his mind, and wouldn’t want to hear any other thing apart from punishing the maid who dare touched his mate

Camila The moment I saw him collecting the whip from the guards, my face turned pale, like blood was drained out of my body. My body began shivering as I shook my head in refusal, more tears streaming down my face and I began ambling backward. Suddenly the once-sober crowd began roaring out in laughter, as they all pointed their fingers at me while I kept ambling backward, with fear crippling my chest. “Yes! The human deserves to be punished!” “Loved how the table is turned around!” “Now our Alpha is making the right decision. I kept hearing words from different directions, as they all made a mockery of me. I couldn’t even look at anyone's face, because their taunting voice felt like a whirlwind of hatred surrounding me, as their murderous glance pierced through my skin. ‘I’m the enemy here after all. They all wanted me dead!’ My heart kept racing. “Strip and tie her down!” The Alpha’s voice growled loudly, and instantly every other voice snapped shut. The moment his

Camila "Everyone leave!" he yelled, and everyone hastily ran away, murmuring among themselves. I didn't miss noticing the excitement lingering in their eyes, especially the men who seemed to think the report was the most amazing news they'd heard for ages. 'Why would they wish me death?' My heart shattered as tears clouded my eyes. I gazed at the older men and women who stayed behind after Zedex's order. Suddenly, an elderly woman stepped forward, her hair white and lengthy. "Alpha, we need to discuss this immediately," she said, her nervousness evident as she slightly bowed. Without a word, Zedex began storming away, and the elders quickly trailed behind him. The guards hastily ran to me and untied me. They raised me, and I limply fell into their arms. However, they dragged me away. Along the way, my mind reeled in despair. Why was I so hated by these werewolves? What wrong had I done to deserve all this pain and suffering? Had I committed some terrible sin in my past lif

Camila The air in my lungs dried up, as I clung to Pa Billie’s leg. My hope precariously hung in the air. And with each passing minute, the anxiety spreading through out my body became intensified as Pa Billie stared down at me. His expression calm, yet unreadable, I fought to steady my racing heart and I grasped on a single thread of hope that he would believe my lies. He was silent for what seemed like forever, slowly I muttered, “Grandpa…” “Where did you get this scar from?” He questioned, staring at my back intensively. His words throwing me off guard, as I stared at him with a furrowed brows. “Which scar?” “The thin line at the middle of your back.” He pointed. My mouth curved into a “O” as my gaze blinked rapidly, “Its a birth mark.” I responded, sitting up straight on the ground. He nodded his head, thoughtfully. “Can I touch it?” He asked politely. I shrugged my shoulder before nodding In acceptance. I turned my back very well to face him, then I lowered my neck

Alpha Zedex My gaze remained glued to the ground. Her voice which was filled with despair and anguish echoed in my head, resounding like a raging wave as she spoke up in defense. Yet, I remained calm, watching her lay motionless on the ground, my fist clenching and unclenching in restraint. The council member’s reaction to her outburst was predictable. I already knew the anger surging in their vein the moment I sent for her, impatiently waiting to be unleashed. Zov, my wolf wasn’t having it either. Just the sight of them insisting on killing her, made him struggle from within me, Yet I still got my fist clenched to control him. I know the stakes are high, and a single misstep of words or actions might cause a heavy disaster. I maintained my calm demeanor as the guards rushed in, and began dragging her away. Their lips curled up in a triumphant grin, and they nodded their words at my decision to stand by them. I sat upright, looking at everyone’s faces as they stared back a

Alpha Zedex I was thunderstruck at Grandpa's words. The fury in my eyes died down, and my eyelashes blinked rapidly as confusion washed over me. 'Is Grandpa also trying to rebel?' My mind jumbled with thoughts. He knew better than anyone that choosing the human over his people was a grave offense without forgiveness. My shoulder slumped as I tried to steady my racing heart. "Why?" I whispered, loud enough for him to hear me. A soft chuckle escaped his lips, and he turned his back against me. "I won't let you hand over your only surviving mate to Troy," he responded, his voice dripping with venom. I stumbled back, my eyes widening in shock. For the first time in years, I heard Grandpa use such a tone, which made my heart sink into my stomach. I hastily ran and stood in front of him, my chest heaving in rapid breaths. "Why?" I asked again, staring at him intensively. 'Does this human have the power of bewitching people into risking everything for her? Even Grandpa is standi

Camila My eyes were still wide open, shining brightly like the early rise of the sun, even in the darkness of night. They were red and swollen due to my endless crying, and my throat was so sore that I could barely hear my own voice. Ever since I was brought back to this awful room from the meeting chamber, I woke up to find myself soaked in water. My mind flashed back to what had happened in the meeting chamber, and I recalled how I was so scared that I had peed on myself and fainted afterward. Fear trickled down my skin at the thought of the forthcoming danger of being strangled by those impatient wolves who wanted me dead and out of their pack. Now I understood the anxiety that came with knowing the exact day you would die. It was better not to know when death would come. I preferred it when I was asleep, which would result in less pain and less torture. Even when I received my doctor's report back home about my health condition, he only stated that I had three years to li

Camila The five guards stood in rows, blocking the entrance of the room. Their gaze landed on me, then averted to Madam Gabby's direction. Instantly, their jaws dropped, and they quickly bowed their heads. "Sorry, Madam Gabby. I never knew it was you," one of the guards muttered, slightly raising his head. No doubt, she was highly respected. Who wouldn't? I mean, she was Alpha Zedex's babysitter when he was younger, and the pack must have acknowledged her for that, commanding such respect. These memories made me recall the first time I met her. I could still remember how those fiercely wolves who wanted to attack me the night I attempted to escape quickly withdrew the moment she intervened. "Ahem!" Madam Gabby cleared her throat with a low, raspy sound and quickly composed herself to shake off her anxiety; it was clearly written all over her. "What are you guards doing here?" she asked, trying to make her voice firm. One of them shook his head. "We heard voices inside and

Camila My heartbeat fastened as I began to feel restless. No doubt one part of me was ready to face any outcome, yet another part of me was scared. I mean, why wouldn't I be? When they were going to drag me to another wolf's den, how would I survive or fight my way out? Thoughts were still flooding in my mind when Madam Gabby and Bianca rushed into the room. Surprisingly, Dixie wasn't with them this time around, and I wondered why. I felt a little sad because I didn't even know when I would see them again or receive their care, which really broke my heart. Because at this point, it felt like my life was hanging on a thread. "Holy Goddess!" Bianca exclaimed, her mouth dropped in shock. She squatted in front of me and face-palmed my swollen face. "What the hell happened to your face? Did you fight with a beast?" she asked. Madam Gabby slightly hit her shoulder. "No jokes." "I'm serious," Bianca clarified. "Who did this to her?" She pointed at my face, her face squeezed into

  • Her Mate, His Redemption   Chapter 67: Zedex, Trust me!

Camila POV My eyelashes fluttered open as my gaze landed on the ceiling. The faint scent of Zedex’s sandalwood cologne lingered in the air, grounding me in his space. It was familiar, and I slowly raised my upper body to sit upright on the bed. My eyes wandered around the room, and I instantly recognized Zedex’s chambers. I stretched my arms and twisted slightly, surprised to feel no pain in my body or joints—not even a headache. The usual ache in my ribs from past beatings was gone, replaced by an unnatural vigor. I felt renewed and strong as if energized from within. ‘When did we return to the Vermillion Pack?’ My thoughts raced, scrambling to recall what had happened. In a flash, memories flooded my mind: Max and Troy harassing me, Zedex intervening by severing their hands. Their snarls echoed in my skull, followed by the metallic tang of blood. My face fell with sadness. The rivalry between the brothers showed no sign of ending, and it pained me to know it was all because o

Alpha Zedex.I turned around and walked further into my room, sitting at my dining table. I then untied my mask from my face, showing my scar, before pouring myself a cup of tea. After some time, Mogan didn’t hear a word from me, which made him lift his head. At that moment, I turned and our eyes met. I waved my hand, inviting him to come closer. “Come, sit,” I said softly, sipping my tea. The warmth of the drink going down my throat couldn’t compare to the sorrow in my heart. Mogan stood up and walked over to me, sitting across from where I sat. I picked up the small kettle and poured tea into both of our cups. “Zedex…” he hesitated, studying my face as I looked at him calmly. He expected me to be upset for him using my name, but my steady gaze encouraged him to continue. “I know Grandpa took it out on you,” he said quietly, understanding my pain. I would say Mogan is the only one who truly gets me. He sees right through my attempts to hide my feelings. He has witnessed me at my

Alpha Zedex. The intense pain on my bare chin made me look at him, feeling as if I had been punched in the stomach. The hurt glimmered in my eyes, making them shiny with tears. The shock and pain from Grandpa’s slap crashed over me like a wave, and my mouth fell open because I couldn’t understand why he was defending Max, even though he had planned to hurt me. “Grandpa!” I shouted, my voice trembling. The anger and frustration I held back spilled out like a dam breaking. Tears welled in my eyes, and I felt my face flush with rage. I balled my hands into fists to keep my emotions in check. “Enough, Zedex!” he responded, his eyes filled with disappointment and sadness as he looked into mine. “Why did you hurt your brother?” His expression suddenly softened, and he began to cry. “Hmph!” I scoffed, unable to stop a hurtful laugh from escaping as I stood up from the floor. I wasn't surprised by what he said; it was always the first question he asked whenever Max and I fought. But what

Alpha Zedex Lan kept a steady smile on his face, but his clenched fist revealed his inner turmoil. The sadness in his eyes was unmistakable, though he did his best to hide his sorrow. “Just tell me, did you see Max? How is he?” Lan pressed again, his eyes shimmering with unshed tears. No matter what had transpired, as I mentioned earlier, family ties run deep, but betrayal leaves wounds that no relationship can mend. I turned to Grandpa, who stepped closer, his intense gaze fixed on me. I could tell he was anxious—eager for any news about his grandson. There was no escaping this moment; it would come out eventually. Mogan noticed the tension between us and moved forward. The sound of his boots echoed in the quiet hall as he clasped his hands behind his back and began to pace slowly, drawing everyone’s attention. “The Full Mountain Pack deceived us,” he declared loudly. “It was all a lie. There was no human attack. There were no killings. Alpha Troy and Max lured our Alpha there t

Alpha ZedexAmore pulled his finger away from her pulse and let out a sharp breath, rubbing his temple. "If I'm right, I've only heard of one bloodline like this—the—" "I forbid you, Amore," I interrupted, my eyes darkening. This was a forbidden topic because the name was a curse. It was part of old horror stories that scare pops and young wolves. The Oswaldo Howlers had vanished long before my father was born; they were eliminated during the blood purge due to their terrifying abilities. They were the most powerful with the strongest gifts, which made them seen as evil. If Camila had even a trace of their cursed bloodline… “Give her more poison.” My voice was dangerously calm as I moved closer to get a better look. Amore was taken aback by my command, his body tensing. “B-but Alpha, the poison didn’t—” “Then use silver.” I interrupted sharply. At this point, I needed proof, and I was willing to go to any lengths. Amore’s fingers trembled slightly as he took a deep breath. “Alph

Alpha Zedex"Alpha Zedex!" Beta Mogan's voice cut through the air.I couldn't respond because my mouth was still locked with Camila's. Mogan, being the sharp-minded wolf, dismounted from his horse and approached our carriage."Shit! He can't see me like this," my mind pounded. Immediately, I struck the pressure point on her neck with my hand. Her body went limp as she weakly released me and collapsed, her back hitting against the wooden carriage bed.At that instant, I pulled away, and Mogan yanked open my carriage curtain, his eyes darting inside. Mogan's gaze swayed from Camila's unconscious body form back to me. His lips curved into a small smirk, but his expression hardened immediately and he cleared his throat, blinking away."Alpha, we're about to cross the bridge," he informed, and I gave a sharp nod and flicked my wrist, dismissing him. With a knowing grin, he let the curtain fall closed. But before the curtain fell, I caught the faintest curve of his smile. I knew he must be

Alpha ZedexThe other carriage was taken away while Mogan and the rest of the guards hopped on their horses and began riding away. After a long-distance ride, I opened the animal skin curtain and stared outside. It was still early hours, as everywhere was dark, and the chilly breeze blew up leaves from the ground. Mogan kept hitting the horse to hasten up without delay.I closed the curtain and sat upright facing her, yet my mind was clouded with the events that happened back at Full Mountain Palace Hall. The way I brutally hurt them kept replaying fresh in my head, followed by the image of Grandpa and Lan.'How do I explain this to them?' My mind reeled. ‘Grandpa and Lan, how would they react to knowing about Max losing his hand? I just hope Grandpa's health doesn't worsen and Lan doesn't hate me for what I did to his brother because, above all, blood is thicker than water.’“Save me. Don't leave me, please,” A faint, barely audible whisper snapped me out of my thoughts, as my gaze t

Alpha ZedexThe woman ran out and bowed before me with her head glued to the ground. “My Alpha Zedex, human hunters indeed attacked the pack, however, most of their men died the moment they stepped into the mountain because of the heavy Miasma. That way, they never had the chance to attack us and quickly retreated.” She disclosed what actually happened.Sally sprang to his feet and ran to the woman, standing by her side. “There was no bloodshed, no kidnapping?“ He asked, refusing to believe Troy would dare lie to me.Another man rushed forward and bowed, “Alpha Zedex, Sarah was telling the truth. Indeed, the human hunters came to attack, but they never succeeded, so they quickly retreated.” The man supported the woman’s words. My shoulder lightly slumped in disappointment as I gazed at Max. I wondered what he saw in Troy that made him align with him. When it came to age, Troy was far older than him with almost seventeen years gap, and also more experienced. I wondered what he was gain

Alpha ZedexShe fell into my arms, and I held onto her tightly. Stupid Zov was grinning from ear to ear after brutally chopping off the hands that had harassed his mate. All the while, when Max and Troy were taunting her and making fun of her vulnerability, I decided not to interfere because I was enjoying how far they were pushing her to her limit.Zov couldn't bear the sight of his mate in trouble because he sensed her fear and pain. However, I had to push him to the back of my mind. I couldn't let his affection for his mate ruin my sense of reasoning just because he wanted to protect her, while I wanted to see her suffer and see how much she could endure. As she lay in my arms, it felt like time had stopped moving. Zov slipped out of his cage and took control over me, the urge to protect and hurt whoever caused her pain overwhelming me.My arms wrapped protectively around her as my gaze remained fixed on her face. ‘Our mate is such a beauty,’ Zov whispered in my head, grinning even
