Samantha had been condemned into a dark room for two days with no food nor water. Eliot was surely going to do everything to ensure that she rots in the cell when she did nothing wrong.

Samantha had cried herself to sleep and up again till she couldn't cry anymore. Who would come to her rescue?

A guard unlocked the door to her cell and she struggled to see through the bright light.

" Mrs Dantes, you are free to go," the guard said.

Samantha suddenly sat up unable to believe it. Eliot must have found out the truth. Surely he must have realised that she couldn't hurt grandma Dora.

Samantha walked feebly out of the cell. She was hungry, thirsty and exhausted, but the thought that Eliot forgave her to have her released gave her hope and so she walked out.

Once outside the police station, she glanced around but couldn't spot Eliot, not even his car was anywhere in the parking area.

She turned back to the officer who had her released and asked who processed her release.
