Elaine's POV

It was pretty breezy, breezier than usual but it was very enjoyable. It was quiet, and from the balcony, I could see the lights in the city and it was beautiful, so beautiful that I began smiling. I leaned forward, trying to check if I could see Zade's mansion from where I was but no matter how much I looked, I couldn't see anything. I sighed, pouting.

“He couldn't even call me to ask if I was okay, what a jerk.” I muttered under my breath.

“Who couldn't call you?” Someone said from behind me and I turned around, startled.

“Lady Evangeline, it's you!” I gasped, holding my chest, “You scared me.”

“Come here, Elaine. I apologise if I scared you, but I want to talk to you about something.” Lady Evangeline said softly, wrapping her shawl tightly around her shoulders. Now that she was standing in front of me, and my heart was calm, I could see her clearly.
