Farren's Point of View

I knew something was wrong the moment we drove into the estate. My mother stood on the porch. Foot tapping. Eyes narrowed in slits. Arms crossed over her chest. Benicio stood a ways behind her. He refused to look anywhere but at the car. Yes, something was definitely wrong.

When I came back from my years-long trip, as they had put it later on, no one had come out to greet me. I had to get out and find them one by one. The house had been foreign and strange. But they had remained in their designated spots. Refused to come to greet me at the door when they knew I was coming.

"What did you do now?" Louisa asked with an exasperated sigh. I glared at her but slid out of the car.

The lingering fear from my stalker had vanished. Dulled into a smooth rock that sank to the bottom of my stomach. Seeing them out on the porch, there was a different kind of fear. Had Priamos passed? Or Nerezza? Or any one of her mates? The thought was stifling. Brought new heights to my

Camilo's Point of ViewGetting back inside the mansion without anyone spotting me took more out of me than I had thought. If someone saw me, they would tell mama in a heartbeat. Sometimes I wondered who truly ran this operation. The woman was formidable. Strong-willed. The best mother on this side of the planet. But she was also nosey. Judgemental. Strict. And sometimes I wondered if she still saw me as a child to be scolded. That's why I snuck out. Snuck back in. Tried not to make a single sound as I walked down the hallway. Some part of me got angry at the fact that my men didn't notice me enter. If I could move about so easily, their don, then who was to say someone else couldn't? At least my secret for the night was safe. I wasn't in the mood to explain to my mother why I had gone out. Or wanted to tell her that I had found my mate. That conversation would go over difficult.Reaching the top of the stairs, I took in a breath. Steadied my hand on my knees. I might have been the bo

Farren's Point of ViewSteam billowed out of the shower as I stepped out. Trailed behind me when I walked to the mirror above the basin. There was something rather soothing to having scalding water hit you with force. Massage away some of the lingering tension. But it couldn't wash away the dread I had for the rest of my stay here.It was no secret that my mother had cancer. That she refused treatment. We kept it quiet, though. Acted as if nothing was out of place. At night, I would bring her food when the servants weren't there. Hurry a bowl to her when she wanted to throw up.Cancer was a horrid thing. Even more so to wolves, seeing as we healed much faster than humans. Our bodies would cave in sooner than humans' as well. Blame our genetics. A blight on our race. I was here to help my mother. The last thing I could do for the woman who had given birth to me. Nerezza had been more of a mother than Elizabeth ever had. When my father left her, she never quite recovered. Or so Priamos

  • Her Four Cruel Wolves   Chapter 11

Farren's Point of View My mother had glared at me when I had come down the stairs. She had been waiting with Benicio and Louisa. Leon stood more to the back. Had his arms crossed over his chest. Glared silently at Camilo walking behind me. He looked less menacing than my mother or brother. But still not pleased that his baby sister was going with his boss somewhere. For all they knew, I could be kidnapped and murdered. Louisa was the first to speak up. Made her voice heard when no one asked for her opinion. "I don't think this is right, Benicio. She should stay home and tend to her mother for us. That's why we called for her. Not to run around with," her eyes swept up Camilo's body as she sneered. "Him." "If you simply called her to tend to your mother, why not just hire someone qualified to look after her. I pay you more than enough to sustain it, Benicio. But if money is the issue, let me increase your salary. I only want to help my dear mate." Camilo said from behind me. Glanci

  • Her Four Cruel Wolves   Chapter 12

Farren's Point of View My lungs squeezed out every bit of air I had inside of them. The pit in my stomach grew into a black hole. This was what nightmares were made of. Without thinking, I let go of his hand. Leaned a bit back so as to not be any closer to him than necessary. This was the worst possible outcome of all. Camilo found out about Rafael before I had gotten the chance to flee. From the look in his eyes, I knew what he had in mind wasn't pretty. Or acceptable anywhere else but in Lupitum. "How did you find out?" I breathed. I could feel my eyes widen. Hands tremble on my lap. The moment we had had before this was shattered. Gone with the wind. There was no getting it back and the minuscule amount of honesty he had given me was shattered. Camilo smirked. Tossed a grape into his mouth with one easy movement. Swallowed it down after chewing a few times. This was the man who controlled this city. The man who could have people vanish in the middle of the night. And I had cros

Farren's Point of View"Benicio!" I screamed as I threw open the doors to the Amador mansion. Camilo was behind me. Trailed in lazily with his hands in his pockets. I had ended the picnic when he had tried to play his mind games. Demanded he took me home. Like a gentleman, he had, which was very out of character. Or so I assumed. Camilo looked like the type of man to take what he wanted and never apologize for it. If he had wanted to keep me there against my will, he would have.Flying to my left, I stormed into the break room. Their den of sin. All eyes turned to me. Camilo followed silent but observing. There was no doubt in my mind that he was smirking whilst walking. Took in the room of men and thought to himself how powerful he was. How much control he had over all these lives.I didn't care. Trudged through the mess of men who gawked freely at me. "Benicio, I know you are here! Come out!" I screamed again and rounded a poker table. Men stopped throwing their cards out. Turned t

  • Her Four Cruel Wolves   Chapter 14

Farren's Point of ViewMy mother was back in her bed by the time I arrived. Leaned against her headboard, a book clutched between her hands. Her reading glasses sat on the tip of her nose. Made her look older than she actually was. Or maybe that was just the cancer eating at her body. Either way, every day I spent here she changed little by little. Her hair had started falling out. Thinning. She wore a scarf over her head for most days. Tucked the hair into a bun the few other times. You could see her scalp by now. The raggedness of her split ends. She was nothing compared to the woman I had come to know as I grew up. Knocking gently on her door, I took a step inside. Her eyes roamed up her glasses. Peeked over the rim at me. A small smile tugged her lips. Showed just enough teeth that I knew at least that hadn't changed. They were still white. The largest front teeth still had a slight chip in them. "I didn't expect you back so early. Was everything alright?" She asked. Looked at

Farren's Point of ViewNone of my brothers spoke to me once they got home. Barely nodded my way and headed into the dining room. Only Nicolas smiled encouragingly. Or tried to make it seem that way. All their shoulders were slumped forward. Hollowness had crept into their cheeks. I was their last priority. My confrontation from earlier was trivial to them now.Benicio had specks of blood on his shirt. On his neck. I expected as much. Their line of work was a bloody one. My brothers were murderers. Plain and simple. That was no secret. But to see it for myself was different than imagining it. Thinking of it. As if those specks slapped me across the face. Forced my attention to them. It made my perception of this city and this family slip into an even darker shade of grey.As always, Louisa flocked to her husband. Clung to his arm whilst sending me a glare as they passed. I gripped the banister tightly between my fingers. Felt my earlier rage rise slightly. Then I remembered not being

Camilo's Point of ViewRafael was hot on my heels as I made my way up to the residential side of the house. Cursed at me beneath his breath. Made vague comments about how it was supposed to be bros before hos. Corrected himself and admitted she wasn't a ho like he had implied but that she was our mate. Which made things worse, seeing as we could never even share toys as kids, much less our mate as adults.Farren had left in a haste. Had bumped into my third in command with a huff. Promptly told him off, as I had expected, and fled the estate. Where she had gone was beside me. Most likely home. Not that that home was her home. From what I had gathered, the only home she ever truly had was the royal palace. And that hadn't lasted long.At least this time around, I hadn't sent someone after her. Someone to report back every move she made. But the tracker I had put on her this morning was clearly not adequate enough for the job. He had trailed her after spotting her hurrying away from the

  • Her Four Cruel Wolves   Thank You

To everyone still enjoying this series, I thank you for your kindness. Your time. Your consideration for my stories. Weaving all these tales for you has been nothing short of a blessing. You are my greatest achievement and I applaud you for keeping up with my (sometimes) horrible writing habits. I want to tell you about the next book... the second last one in the series. Her Original Wolf. Unlike the previous three, this one will not be a reverse harem. But still spicy. This will be the book that defines the lore. The Origin Story of the Moon Goddess and how the wolves came to be. It will be my master piece out of the series and the most detailed. All questions surrounding the lore and why some women get more than one mate whilst others only one will be answered in there. I hope to see you soon! All of my love and appreciation, Alexandria.

Farren's Point of View6 Months Later"Are you sure you want to attend? The twins are so close to being born and I don't want anything to happen to you or them." Isabelle was whining from my bed. She hung upside down. Glared at me whilst I was preparing my makeup. Not that it was easy. On the contrary, I hated doing it now. My stomach was too large for me to sit comfortably. The mirror was too far away and eyeliner needed to be applied close up. I would stand but bending forward meant my center of gravity was no longer in the right place. Throw that in with the fact that my bladder emptied itself nearly every hour and you had one pissed-off woman."I am fine, Isa. It is the grand opening of the Torrez Trust Project. I need to be there. You know how much time and money I spent on this. If it makes you feel any better, just come along." I whined. My liner was crooked. The wing was too large which made my eyes look strange. Cursing, I threw the liner down and grabbed some wipes. All of

Camilo's Point of View"I am heading home now and I swear if they aren't there, I am going to commit murder," I growled. There was a crackle on the other side of the line. A pause. "We are heading over as well. Everyone is done here and the greenies are cleaning up." Alejandro sounded rather out of breath by the end of the sentence. Ready to collapse. If today had been like the other four, he must be bone tired. People had that effect on him. Had that effect on almost all of us."Good. I'll meet you at the front door then. I'm not that far off." Stepping down on the accelerator, I felt my back pressing into the seat. My mother had taken Farren to the doctor. Claimed she was sick. But it should have been one of us to take her. Care for her. Not my mother and sister. Something bent inside of me. Threatened to break. We needed to make this work. Settle our differences. I needed to show Farren that this was for life. That she meant the world to me. And then some. I wanted to give her ev

  • Her Four Cruel Wolves   Chapter 132

Farren's Point of ViewWe made it all the way to the living room of the Amador house before my stomach turned again. Flipped in on itself. Isabelle ran to the kitchen to fetch a bowl whilst I battled to get my stomach under control. The girl was helpful until I spewed some more. The moment yellow bile hit the bowl, she was no longer a willing participant in helping me. Instead, her nose curled up and she gagged. Gripped the armrest of the three-seater until I was sure the wood might splinter beneath the cushion. "I think," she paused only to gag again. The bowl in my lap was almost to the brim and there was no sign of me stopping anytime soon. "I think I am going to get my mother for you." She finished with a shaky breath at the end. I nodded and resumed my position over the bowl.Moments later, the queen of the house arrived. Her hair was also pulled back from her face. Diamonds in her ears. And then my world turned yellow again as I vomited up some more bile. Isa had stayed closer

Farren's Point of ViewOne Week Later"Everyone who needs medical supplies, please go to the right of the line. Food parcels are to the left and if you need housing solutions, please come to the center line. The next trauma debriefing will be held in forty minutes." I screamed above the crowd in front of me.We had set up an emergency aid station on my estate. The front garden was filled to the brim with people. Rafael had arranged buses to pick up people at several different locations throughout the city. To make it easier for everyone to get resources easily. It was the best idea I could come up with to help all the families who had lost someone to our fight.Who had lost not only their sole income most of the time, but also their protector and rock. It wasn't their fault that their husbands and fathers had chosen a different side. Or that we had mobilized their protectors to come and protect us. Thus the burden of helping everyone landed heavily on our shoulders.Isabelle moved clo

  • Her Four Cruel Wolves   Chapter 130

Farren's Point of ViewI had forgotten to tell him. Had forgotten that one of the henchmen had even said it to me. Dominique had killed Camilo's father. And I had been too lost in my misery and fear to remember to tell him. Somewhere after being kidnapped, those men had most likely lost their lives because of it.Hell. I wouldn't put it past Dominique to torture them to death because of it. It gave away a rather valuable advantage that Dominique might have had. All thanks to two idiots who ran their mouths. Although, at the end of it, he had played the card in the worst way possible.Let it slip whilst he was begging for his life. The sickening crunch of Dominique's skull vibrated through the kitchen. I flinched. Looked away as he collapsed fully to the floor. On the other hand, Tristan only watched as his father gave up his life. A blank stare on his face.Alejandro had him in a hold. Forced him to look at the mess his father had made. And paid so heavily for. There wasn't a single e

Camilo's Point of ViewI saw her slipping away from the front of the house. Noticed her head bobbing up and over the back side of the wall. One moment she was there. The next it felt like my heart was going to explode out of my chest from fear. Every nerve in my body stood on end. Felt frayed. About to rip themselves apart.Throughout the entire fight, I never lost focus. I knew where Farren was. That she was virtually unreachable to anyone. Until she decided to crawl down. To leave the only safety bubble she had agreed to stay in. Throughout the entire fight, I kept my eye on Dominique. Made sure the bastard wasn't advancing. But I took my eye off the ball. Let myself get distracted. If it wasn't for Alejandro disemboweling a man charging at me. Or my mother shooting him a second later, I would be beheaded by now."What the fuck is going on with you!" Alejandro screamed over the commotion surrounding us. I looked at him in disbelief. Shook my head. When I looked back to where Domini

  • Her Four Cruel Wolves   Chapter 128

Farren's Point of ViewMrs. Amador looked so out of place on the roof. Rifle pressed to her shoulder. Eye peering through a rather large scope. In her designer heels and twinkling diamonds. This woman should have been on a runway somewhere. Not shooting at people from a rooftop in the stifling sun.Even her lips were perfectly lined in the same color men would spill in the courtyard below. After a moment of adjusting and readjusting the scope, she settled it against the small retaining wall on the roof. Lucky for us, the kitchen was the perfect spot to stand on. The roof here was flat with a small enough wall that we could take cover when necessary. The end of an extractor fan shot out to my right. "Have you ever shot a gun, Farren?" Even her voice sounded too perfect to be of this world. I hoped that one day I would be as graceful as she was. Poised and perfect. With all of my training at court, I should have been better than her by now. Although standing right beside the woman, I

Camilo's Point of ViewI was waiting on the porch for them. Paced around so badly one of my calves decided to cramp. When I noticed the car on the other side, I felt hope spark in my chest. She was within reach and I could better protect her here. Although, our barricades would only last so long. At least she was here. As one, my men slammed the gate shut behind them. Slammed the steel poles into place as well. My father had put certain things in place to protect his family. This was only one of them. The large stash of cash and food in the heavily armored basement was another.Quintez was leaning against the railings. His face was a stone slab up until the car came through. He was in immense pain. I could sense it from a mile away. He had been the one to discover the bombs. Had jumped out of the car and ran full speed at the warehouse. No one had opened fire. But the bomb exploded not too far from him.Threw him clear through the air. It was the first time in my life that I was afra
