GRATITUDE

Daniella felt her tightened so hard in her chest as if someone were trying to squeeze the life out of her while she watched the doctor and the four nurses hovering over her father from the rectangular, transparent little space on the door.

The Doctor had restricted her from coming inside and even though she had wanted to argue with him and stubbornly go in with them, she could not do that because she had done something terribly wrong with them just a moment ago.

Now that she was unable to go in there to support her father and fight for his life together, she just kept praying earnestly for her father’s safety in her mind from where she stood planted with her face buried into the glass door.

Although, the doctor had assured her many times that it's nothing to worry about that her father will surely be alright, but she couldn't just shake off the worry that had filled her. Not when she had seen a piece of glass engraved into his forehead.
