55. Let's Get This Straight

2021-08-09 00:07:15Two days had passed since that conversation. Elijah and Jackson were at odds. Although they were working on gathering their allies, the tension between them was strong. Jackson wasn’t completely himself with Scarlett either, much to her dismay. However, she knew he needed time and she respected that, he treated her like his own ever since she came to this town.
The weather was cooler today, the sun warming her skin soothingly. She turned in Elijah’s arms, looking at his sleeping face, he truly was handsome. She brushed her fingers over his brow when his eyes opened, still clinging to sleep.
“Go to sleep kitten, it's too early.” He mumbled, his voice thicker than usual only making her core clench. He really made her want him every second of every day.
“Hmm it is but I think I’m ready to go to training with you. To take part with the rest of the pack.” She said quietly, making his eyes widen, all trace of sleep gone.
